This is going to sound silly, but I like how you acknowledge that you maybe drank too much the day before, had a good day and treated your body nicely with this workout. It was refreshing to hear and I’m enjoying your vlogmas series so far.🖤
I love that you are transparent about being really tired and that you didn't hit the workout as hard because you listened to your body....we need more TH-camrs like you Justina 😊 Excited for Penny!
Ykno, you have SO many names in the bowl that I think even after vlogmas you should continue the review! Your review videos are super useful and not to mention helps inform us about fitness creators we didn't know about!
Vlogmas is mental thing -- imagine churning one video after the other until December 25th? This episode of yours is so giving! I admire the tenacity, my goodness!
Hi Justina! I really appreciate your style, values and personality. Your communication is informative, funny and in the web this is rare. I'm subscribed and I watch your video, even if I do not work out. I love to support people like you, it's great to see someone put so much effort into a passion and transform it into a work. Keep going on!!
I'm currently doing MAPS Anabolic and I really really like it. I've increased my strength so much faster doing this than any other style of lifting I've ever done before. This time last year I was on crutches and couldn't walk. Last week I deadlifted 205 pounds!
I’ve learned so much from the guys at MindPump. I used to listen to their podcast every day when I would go for a long walk. Used to walk 3-5 miles a day while I took a break from strength training. And I’d be listening to the “You’re not gonna get strong just walking every day.” Hahaha! But truly - they know so much. But yes, they can be very bro-y. 😂
I recognized Sugar Freak as your brunch spot! I only went there once many years ago, so I don't remember how it was, but I loved the colorful interior, and it's a longtime Astoria place, a real staple.
I've been following Anabolic for 2 years now! My body is too sensitive to stress so I mostly rotate phases 2 and 3 and I still get great results. Any pure strength phases or high intensity exercise gives me insomnia... My sports doctors says some people are just wired that way. Still bummed about it but at least I won't max out my dumbbells anytime soon 😅😅😅
@@abhinitadas9474 About an hour: I train on my lunch break when I work from home. Phase 1 takes the longest: I would do the last 2 or 3 exercise later in the day. Phases 2 and 3 are doable if I skip the shoulder shrugs and do the ab exercise after work.
Do you have any equipment suggestions for doing their workouts at home? Is it practical to adapt their routine without owning gym quality equipment? My health is just not that good and I’m working on building muscle to counteract hypermobility (also need safe workouts) and improve resting metabolism, improve pelvic health after years of battling endometriosis and bladder cancer, improve blood sugar, and reconditioning after developing POTS so am beyond far from trying to be a bodybuilder but love a variety of sound, safe, gimmick free routines (online have done a lot of HasFit, Jessica Smith, and long ago Kathy Smith, Jari Love, Gilad, and Firm DVDs and lots of purchase from Collage Video LOL). Thank you for clarifying HIIT in this series BTW-I first learned that term and tabata when the ROM machine was marketed as a way to workout in just a few minutes in fancy magazine ads back in the day and I think most home workouts are not true HIIT.
They share an at home version when you get the program. I've been doing it with adjustable dumbbells, bands and and a pull-up bar (still can't do pull-ups for the life of me, though 😅)
@@soyness8036 that’s really cool! With hypermobility it’s probably not great for me to do the pull ups anyway but it would for sure be good if I was strong enough to. Thanks for the info!
Hi, did you try MAPS Anabolic? I also have a lot of health issues including hypermobility, chronic pain (hEDS,) POTS, and MCAS and I have to be super careful, but I've been really wanting to try this! ...maybe the at-home version...
Which video has the comments with all the names you put in the bowl? Wondering if anyone added Lift with Cee! Would love for you to review her stuff :)
Hi Justina, I just found you and I really like your content! thank you for reviewing this program. I purchased this program too but have not started yet. A bit of a silly question, where in the program do i find the reps on each movement? Thank you :)
I loved your vlogmas series and I have to say that this is the one that has resonated the most with me. I've learned and ton since you introduced me to MAPS/MindPump. Thank you!
Your Christmas sweater is CUTE! So I really hope you came in last at the ugly sweater contest, otherwise I'll fight the judges! These guys...never heard of them, but they seem super chill and very knowledgeable, I'm inspired to try one of their workouts thanks to you! Keep up the awesomeness, Justina!
Thank you again for this vlogmas, loved it! Not sure if this influencer could be for me as I don't like going to the gym, so I don't have a gym subscription and it seems to me like you need lots of equipment and all I have are dumbbells, yoga mat and blocks, bands/booty bands, jump rope and that is it. But loved the review! Sorry you aren't feeling your best, but you picked one of my favs for tomorrow so I am excited about it and looking forward to it🤩! Thank you and have a wonderful day!
Most, if not all, of their programs have dumbbell versions. Some also have band versions. Plus they also sell specific programs for at home that require very minimal equipment.
i am loving these and appreciate how well you articulate the good bad and otherwise with respect and care. i do think you are possibly a bit too worried about caroline lashing out. 🤪 you GET to be honest.
You can do a two week trial on her website if you want to try it for an upcoming video. I feel like I always agree with your insights so it’d be super interesting to hear your feedback
This was very informative. I had never heard of this program before and I almost didn't watch it (thought it would be a little to "Gym Bro") but I am really glad that I did and working full body or a muscle group more than once a week actually makes a lot of sense
We're so spoiled with these daily videos!! (thank you)
