I am simple man. I see CCAD video notification - I click on it and like it before even watching. 🔥
Looks like a really nice little kit! It's nice when you can get a kit like this which has everything you need to clean/protect leather seats. This is a plus for simplicity and helping less experienced or new to detailing users to get good results with minimal effort and the right products with very little instruction. CarPro still amazes me with their innovative ideas and great detailing products! Keep em coming CarPro, you've been on one hell of a roll with your incredible new products over the past 5+ years! I always look forward to SEMA every year because it's when all the new cool products come forward and are introduced into the detailing market. Detailing is without a doubt at it's ALL TIME pinnacle compared to just 20 years back and even more 40+ years back when I started detailing my own cars along with friends and then for profit assisting my friend with his part time detailing business. It gained me valuable experience and also increased my love for vehicle detailing.
I really love how you explain and cover all the things of a detailing product...i hope that you review and test the other new products from Carpro, and keep us updated about the protection that the Lotion offers. Thank you👍
When I saw the carpro announcement on SEMA, my first tought was I cant wait for Sandro to review it, but I didnt expect it so fast. Thanks for the great videos. Will be eagerly waiting for the Dquartz Go review
It seems (very unusually) that we for some reason got this kit earlier here in Australia along with a few others. Appreciate that and the testing has been underway for a few others.
Great video Sandro. Looking forward to trying this. Carpro products are always great.
I have tried this kit. The cleans is more of a maintenance clean for a leather in good condition, it's very weak for deep cleaning of neglected seats. The lotion seems to be fine.
Thanks for the clear, useful information about these, great products, Sandro!
Nice review Sandro! Great info.
Great review. I don't think anyone could have told us more. Thanks!
I like that the kit has smaller sized bottles. I say this because I'm always wanting to try new things and that perfect for people like me/us💡👍
Agreed, I thinks it’s very help when the barrier to try and see if you actually like it isn’t too high.
Thank you Sandro , great review as always !
Hey Carpro! Just tested this new kit on my tesla model 3. The Cleanse worked really well but I have a hard time with Lotion. It create streaks after the final wipe to remove any excess. Also, 24h later someone sat on it and remove the protective layer with her clothing. Do you have any idea what is the issue?
Thank you!
Are you going to get your hands on the other new carpro products for review? Would love to see it!
Great review. It says something that I watched even though I don't have a leather interior! I usually use CarPro Inside for the steering wheel, which works great but I don't like the 'barrier cream' that I usually follow with. Lotion looks perfect for this task. I hope it becomes available separately, albeit the whole kit is surprisingly well priced.
Love from the uk 🇬🇧 big fan trying to teach the uk people spoiler for this product the smell of both has really got me potentially the nicest smelling on the market i just havent tried EVERY one yet
Fight the good fight mate!
koch chemie pol star and leather star seems like a better option
Stoked to be the first view and comment, love your work Sandro 👌
Thanks and hope you enjoy it!
Can this kit be used on alcantara seats too? Hope you could help me on this thanks a lot
Great review. Have you tried Geist?
No I unfortunately haven’t tried it, thanks
Great in-depth yet concise review! Is the micro-buff pad able to be machine washed, or likely susceptible to deformation if done so?
Thanks and good question! I feel like I’d prefer to wash it by hand or at least separate to my microfibre cloths as a saw a few of it fibres dislodge and wouldn’t want them attaching to the cloths, but as far as deforming, not sure…
how often would you recommend reapplying the lotion to a daily driver?
I would guess something like every 3-4 months, maybe quarterly on a daily.
How many applications do you think i can get out of it on a Toyota camry?
You should typically get 2-4 applications on most leather interiors. Where it will vary is based around how dirty and neglected the leather is to start with. If it’s really dirty and dehydrated/weathered it will be closer to 2 applications, but if it’s mildly dirty and new or well maintained it will be closer to 4 applications. You’ll also find that the driver seat/areas will tend to to need more time and product compared to the other seats and areas typically. Additionally you may find that re-cleaning/adding Lotion to the driver areas every 3mths and doing the rest of the leather trims every 6mths could be a good maintenance option.
Thanks i appreciate it, you should do a video comparing it to gyeon leather coat
Hi sandro, can you make a comparison with koch chemie po pol star and leather star. I already use inside and perl but im a little confused now. Cheers
Hello, how is the smell of CarPro lotion? Is it hard smelling? like koch product?
The smell is more subtle
Not bad, maybe a product that I would test in the future! 👍. But I have always been impressed with the results of Meguiar's gold class Leather Sealer Treatment G3800. I don't know if you've already tried it, but it's really an excellent cleaning product followed by excellent protection while maintaining the natural appearance of the leather (darker but without added shine and oily appearance).
This carpro kit reminds me a little of the Meguiar's G3800 kit. Meguiar's Sealer is a hybrid polymer technology, is carpro Sio2?.
On the other hand, there is a difference in the cleansing lotion, pH neutral at Carpro, while Meguiar's G185 in the kit has an alkaline pH of around 11.8. Is it bad for leather even if you only use it twice a year? Me don't, but some people say that alkaline are bad for leather?! When do you think? Please thank you ❤️
No, I don’t believe the Lotion kit is SiO2 based (that’s where Perl and CQLeather come in). I also don’t think that the pH alone determines whether a product is safe or not on leather, it’s just one piece of information and testing/use is always the best evidence. Thanks mate.
Hey Sandro so does cleanse replace Carpro inside ? As inside I used for leather cleaning and interior cleaning? I then used Carpro leather 2.0 to coat.. so would this be done now instead ? Or is this just another similar thing to use ?
I would say Inside is still going to be a better all round general interior cleaner, whereas Cleanse (in this kit) is really a dedicated leather cleaner that’s going to be a much safer option for leather and maybe some other sensitive materials.
Any good for steering wheel? No glossy effect or sticky ( experienced that with Meguiars leather and conditioner product) could you recommend it for general use on new Nappa leather? Thx for review
I find a little stickiness is normal after cleaning most leathers (especially on steering wheels) but should subside after a few days of use and I find that’s more from the cleaning rather than the dressing/conditioning, but I agree that some leather protection products also add stickiness or even worse gloss and slickness - that’s not something I’ve personally experienced with this kit. Not sure if I specifically tried on Nappa but being quite gentle it should be great on more plush & sensitive leathers.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailinglotion smells terrible - hydrogen sulfide like old boiled eggs… is is it normal?
@@kirillgribov4380 i got the same question, maybe its supposed to be like it
@@matiddl6420 you also feel the smell of hydrogen sulfide(boiled eggs) ?! Carpro checked my order I received a fresh product (2month after production) - and they told that smell is normal - after 2 min after applying it should go off. That was the case for me..
So looks like it’s normal but still weird for a such interior product…
@@matiddl6420carPro confirmed that it’s normal ones applied after 2 min no smell noticed
Hi Sandro
Would you say it will leave a perfect Matt finish or satin ?
Would you use this on classic 911 whip became slightly rigid ?
I use to take care of leather with colour lock brand
They have a scellent for < 3 years leather and lotion of older ones. But in fact lotion is giving a perfect Matt like the scellent does
Did you experience this as well ?
Thanks and nice video
Stephane
When filming with lights shinning in the interior to expose the shot it can alter how it looks on camera vs in person. I personally didn’t see added gloss or sheen, just added saturation. Having said that some leathers (usually more raw, stiffer and less refined) tend to have somewhat satin sheens, while other leathers (usually more refined, softer/supple) tend to have flatter matte finishes. So what I what say is that I saw slight variations in the finish ranging from very matte to slightly satin depending on the specific leather.
Can I also coat artificial leather?
Yes
Hi Sandro
How would the lotion compare to Carpro Perl?
Does Perl provide more protection? or this new lotion? It seems to me that this new lotion generates less shine than even very diluted perl.
Hug
Yes, Perl even diluted will still tend to have a little sheen/gloss (which can sometimes be nice depending) and a lighter/dilution of Perl could also be potentially similar to Lotion in terms of durability- that still remains to be seen.
I would not use perl since it's slippery, sure it depend on the dilution but I wouldn't want to take the chance. Don't forget the leather needs to "breath" and I am not sure if Perl allow it. Now sure, we have a lot of overlapping products in the detailing world but as for leather, it's one of the places where a dedicated product do makes the difference.
Nice!
I'm a big fan of carpro, I used them primarily, but I can't see why they brought this out when Colourlock already has a better product. Disappointed with their new SEMA products (non immortal) just doing what everyone else already did, feel like they have no original ideas this year.
The release of DQaurtz Go and DQForce as we’ll as the new chemical resistant X3 tradition clays seem unique and the new Immortal film you mentioned and there’s a few more - I feel like Carpro has gone pretty hard this year.
Competition is fantastic and so important and I certainly don’t accept because one brand already has a good product all others should concede, that would eliminate future progress and innovation.
Hehe , all I can think is “It rubs the lotion on its body”.
“Silence of the Alfa”. Hehe
🙂
First!
Hope you enjoy it mate! 🥇
Tried it, the cleaner works pretty good but god, the lotion stinks like some kind of dead animal pretty badly, definitely can't use on a customer car
Personal preference, but that is an absolute no for me. The nicest finish was the clean but undressed.
I’ve had a few past people say that don’t like using anything over leather, when it’s your car it’s your call, I’m absolutely fine with that.
It's a shame you have to buy the whole kit everything you need more.
