I've just started my pipe smoking journey and I absolutely love it. I've spent many hours watching and learning and experincing the pleasures this hobby brings. This particular video helped a lot and I found filters helped so much in reducing tongue bite to almost zero. The lighter you used is the first lighter I bought and it's excellent, very handy because the tools are on hand, and a great price. So thank you for the informative and enjoyable video, liked and subbed.

I would have loved to try the Cult cherry you mentioned I might now try & get hold of it and perhaps that Boswell sweet dreams as well. The descriptions have always been for the aroma or "room note". The smoker just gets smoke or the smell of of burning. I have been pipe smoking since '87.
I respect your opinion given you are a pipe smoker for many years. We are all different in our interpretation of smell. My take on it is, while you are smoking the room note is better detected by those around you but if you let your pipe down for a minute or better still leave the room for a moment, on your return you would also smell that delicious aroma.

It took me ages to learn how to smoke s l o w l y..... Now I can make a bowl last for most of the length of a football match. My favourite tobaccos are flakes and I still can't get much pleasure from a shag cut. This afternoon I have a beautiful Danish pipe ready packed with G&H Christmas Reserve and I will smoke it when the football starts in ten minutes.
I sometimes puff like a train when I smoke as I get carried away as I enjoy smoking so much. I know I have to slow down but for me it's hard, I have tried the breath method as described by mutton chop pipper but it does not feel right, I have to do more practice, now where's my pipe, time for practice. lol
😀 I giggled while reading your comment Paul. Yes I know what you meant that the breathing method does not feel right I feel the same😊 I just slow my pace the end result is the same. Bottom line is, whatever feels right to you is right for you!!
