  • I've finally got my hands on the Triumph Tiger Sport 660 - an £8,450, 80hp road-biased sports tourer. Join me for my very first ride on it (I'll do a full review soon) as I chat through how it rides and whether you can have fun on it as a more experienced rider. Do let me know in the comments what you want to know in my full review!

Mine has arrived at the shop in the US, now just awaiting some kit and for my finger to be removed from a cast. (non-riding related injury) I'm short, but have already taken the seat in to get shaved down since it's looking like the low seat is on backorder till June! Thanks for the review! I'm a new rider and have been researching the next addition to my garage! It certainly seems I've found a fit. Can't wait to find out, so watching reviews is helping keep me pacified.

Epic use of the word 'moist', people hate that word which is why I love it 😎

I suspect I’ll be seeing loads of these when commuting. Could be a winner for triumph.

Nice! I've just got in from a longer ride on it and haven't noticed any vibes whatsoever. The seat did start hurting my bum after an hour, but I was on pretty crappy roads

Have had quite a few years riding experience but in my younger days. Not having not ridden for twenty five years with the addition of refresher training I am contemplating getting one of these. Am I mad ?

Hey Tim, new subscriber here! I wanted to ask, are there any noticeable vibrations on the pegs and handlers at higher speeds (motorway conditions), since i m planning to get one of these and go touring, im a bit worried that if there are, it might get annoying after a while, thanks!!!

Hey Vasilis, I've not noticed any yet. To be honest most of my riding has been on backroads, but at reasonably high speeds!

Great bike for the money, they need to produce a 1200 version🤨😀

I reckon they will eventually - they've got the Tiger 1200/Speed Trip engine, it makes sense to whack it in a more road-oriented frame

At 6’ 3” how did you find the riding position? Cramped or comfortable?

I was really tempted by the Trident as a less naughty alternative to my Street Triple 675, but a few things put me off.
    1) It felt really small, especially the seat, and I'm only 5'10. Felt pinned up against the tank too much. Plus I seemed to be constantly scraping my (moderately sized) boot against the engine while changing gear.
    2) I couldn't get used to the really soft throttle response, especially when stop start riding / filtering.
    3) It just covered itself (and me) in crap when it rained.
Interested to know if this one is any different... Cheers 👍

I'm a little taller at 6'1" and I often picture my slightly oversized self on smaller bikes like an elephant riding a tricycle. Triumphs 660 platform is intriguing though. I've heard multiple reviews saying the Sport feels/looks bigger with the screen and fairing and the higher seat height than the trident. I just keep coming back to the Kawasaki Z900rs despite wandering to the T7, SpeedTwin and various scrambler type rides... maybe lingering on a version of the R9T... grrrr.
So did you settle on anything or still looking?

@@seaninness334 The Speed Twin is a great bike, that's also on my list, but decided to stick with the Street Triple for a while longer.

@@SteveR76 the street triple is cool in its own right but my age and general preference is for a more upright riding position. Best wishes with whatever direction you go.
