Man I would've bought the razer blade pro instead of the mbp16 but razer was requesting a conference call with my bank, a letter from my employer, and a whole bunch of other documents. I bought the mbp16 instead & I'm really pleased it, logic pro x has been great!
It is a great computer! I use it daily and I do programming and light work.! I recommend! .... Light, you have all the usb plugins, fast charging batery lasts very long and fast enough to use it for basic to intermediate tasks.
Glad you covered/picked the X1 Extreme. I have a 1st edition and your review was one of the ones that helped seal the deal. I’m a bit ticked that Lenovo they launched the upgraded gpu like 6 months later because for some of my work more gpu is always good but the GTX 1050 has been fine. I’m a developer and i bought it because I wanted as light a laptop I could fine with a gpu, the ability to take +32GB of ram and is certified to run Ubuntu (or the Pop OS variant in my case) Linux since I run it in Windows/Linux dual boot mode. While certification may not be that big a deal for Linux whizzes that can deal with hardware issues for me it was critical. While it’s REALLY ludicrously expensive if you get it in one of their bigger sales it’s worth it for the features you get (I especially like the weight of the FHD model I use). As far as a developer machine if your doing anything in data science or machine learning (which is so much easier on Linux) and want something that’s still really portable it can’t be beat. A similar MBP 13" with a quad-core 1.4 GHz CPU, Intel Iris GPU, 16GB of RAM and 256 of storage is $1800. For the same price you can get a Blade with twice the storage and a dedicated GPU (1650 Max-Q). So, spec-wise, the Blade offers better value. The MBP offers a far better display and more battery life, if that counts. On a side note, Razer's user support and warranty service record hasn't been stellar to say the least. If that doesn't bother you and you don't care about the display/battery-life advantages of the MBP, then Blade it is.

I would also like to thank you for always keeping your subscribers updated. Never would have known about the $500 off Razer Blade 15 deal on Prime Day without you. To this day, I haven't seen a better deal for a new Razer Blade 15 than the $1,100 one. It was cheaper than the price to replace my 15 inch MacBook Pro after I was mugged leaving campus. That laptop has been a workhorse and introduced me to the world of PC gaming.

Arnav Kathuria in my opinion you can go ahead and buy the IPad Pro/Air with a keyboard and a pencil. It gets the job done very very well! It has a 10 hour battery life, gets full Microsoft office support and IF your priority isn’t on „heavy“ gaming (such as triple a titles, online gaming) you can just use Apple Arcade. Tbh though, it doesn’t contain many exciting games... Gaming laptops are really often a rip off and don’t deliver the performance due to thermal issues and battery life. An iPad is quite essential as a student, it will improve your workflow. With IPadOS you can now plug in usb drives or small SSDs to your iPad too. Keep in mind that its only an opinion :)

I think MSI has done good job with their MSI Prestige 15 laptops. That should have been one of the top picks. I know that Matthew reviewed 14 inch version of that series but 15 inch has better thermals than 14 inch one and definitely deserves to be in this list.

You forgot about the Lenovo Yoga S940 for premium thin and light/ultrabook. Well built machine, doesn't get more fancy than this. It also has TB3 unlike surface lineup.
I think the best 2-in-1 is HP Spectre since you can get the same specs but a lot cheaper than C940 and XPS. It also has 4k OLED and Windows Hello. I think one of those are not in Lenovo and Dell's version.

I own the Modern 14 $899 model that has the 10th gen i5, 8gbs of ram, and an MX250. At this price point it is perfect for a college student (like myself) wanting it for school and light gaming. The alternative to this is the Razer Blade Stealth 13 which costs $1300 for an i7, 16gbs of ram, and an MX150. Razer Blade Stealth 13 is a better laptop but considering the price difference I had to go with the Modern 14 and it's getting the job done. Edit: The Modern 14 models have two fans unlike the Prestige 14 models which have one so heating won't be an issue with the Modern 14. Don't buy the Prestige 14 model unless you plan on undervolting. (I commented this on another similar video)
Hey man, have you looked at the Dell XPS 15? It's a direct competitor to the X1 and the MacBook Pro 16 inch and better is some areas. It's one of the best laptops for productivity and content creation and it has one of the best designs. The screen options are also among the best, in terms of colour accuracy and sharpness.
Yup! I reviewed it. It's good but i found it had thermal issues if you bought the more powerful i9 and GTX 1650. THe Xtreme Gen 2 did a better job of handling thermals, hence why I recommend it over the XPS 15.

I'd recommend the Asus Zephyrus GA502 over the TUF. It is weaker since it has the Max-Q version of the 1660ti but the battery life is actually usable. I got this on sale for $900 and it gets me 6-7 hrs of battery of actual usage which means its basically in a league of its own for value.

I am a returning student. What's ther best laptop for college student?
I just want memory storage, good battery, easy to type, doesn't heat up fast and runs programs easily.
Which one?
I own the Modern 14 $899 model that has the 10th gen i5, 8gbs of ram, and an MX250.
At this price point it is perfect for a college student (like myself) wanting it for school and light gaming.
The alternative to this is the Razer Blade Stealth 13 which costs $1300 for an i7, 16gbs of ram, and an MX150.
Razer Blade Stealth 13 is a better laptop but considering the price difference I had to go with the Modern 14 and it's getting the job done.
Edit: The Modern 14 models have two fans unlike the Prestige 14 models which have one so heating won't be an issue with the Modern 14.
Don't buy the Prestige 14 model unless you plan on undervolting.

Hey man, have you looked at the Dell XPS 15? It's a direct competitor to the X1 and the MacBook Pro 16 inch and better is some areas. It's one of the best laptops for productivity and content creation and it has one of the best designs. The screen options are also among the best, in terms of colour accuracy and sharpness.
Yup! I reviewed it. It's good but i found it had thermal issues if you bought the more powerful i9 and GTX 1650. THe Xtreme Gen 2 did a better job of handling thermals, hence why I recommend it over the XPS 15.
@@MatthewMoniz Ah okay, no worries man. I have the i7 with the OLED and it runs like a peach and the performance Vs thermals is actually really good. I use it for content creation and CAD and it does a really good job
I want the nicest looking display thats it. Just to play games like Minecraft and watch youtube ect. I just want to be blown away by how beautiful mt display is. And i like my stuff to look very nice and premium. Any recommendations?

what about the lenovo Y540 is the nitro better then it ? i am trying to buy a pc for uni and gaming as well they are both with the same price in my country they got a 1660 ti
I'd recommend the Asus Zephyrus GA502 over the TUF. It is weaker since it has the Max-Q version of the 1660ti but the battery life is actually usable. I got this on sale for $900 and it gets me 6-7 hrs of battery of actual usage which means its basically in a league of its own for value.

I'm a writer so I'm looking to buy a laptop with best keyboard with long battery life as I travel a lot n it should at least run all the games at medium settings because I love to game as well.
I was recommended Alienware m15 but I'm doubtful about Battery life 😅
