We came across your work a little before the lock-down (initially just served up on our Internet T.V. box in the kitchen) and have enjoyed, immensely, your videos. I have now got onto our computer and subscribed. As to us, we are Brits living at the foot of the Mediterranean Pyrenees. We have made a few serious videos and your videos are just the most wonderful antidote to what is going on in the world today. Your work is not ‘escapism’ exactly because it is your actual life. You have a talent for focusing on what is uplifting rather than what is threatening. I must say this though about this morning’s video; we were disgusted to see how the ‘new ab-normal’ is ruining Italy. Enforced SadoMaskism, un-social distancing etc, but delighted to see you all ignoring the closure of the Blue Grotto and producing some beautiful visual images. In our bit of France the locals are cynically ignoring all the B.S. and the ‘bisou’ is still alive and well, thank God!

This brought back memories of when we visited Capri in 2014. We arrived in a Ferry then rode on the bus, the Funicular, the Chairlift and of course the boat. Great sea food. The blue turquoise water all around and the blue Grotto was absolutely stunning. It really is a beautiful place. Thanks for helping me remember all that.
My favorite place on earth and I so appreciate you sharing your home with us! Once my husband retires, we’re going to spend a year there and live like locals with his family who is from there! They are from an between Naples and room called, Castle Forte. It’s a dream, and it’s going to come true!! You keep me going after it!!

That free beach in Capri is my favorite of all the beaches you've shown us. I thought you were going there to swim. Never in a million years did I expect you all to swim into the Blue Grotto! And who knew there was a second entrance/exit below the main one! I would never be brave enough to swim in there.
Every new place you take us ( Video audience) I find myself wanting to visit... So nice you didn't have to fight mobs of tourists... Even though I am often one myself, I prefer to land in a new place and settle in to experience daily life without simply experiencing the tourist attractions alone. Thanks for sharing!

My excitement.....seeing a new post from Nicky:) Our time at the blue grotto was a long line of tourists waiting our turn to get in. Most hilarious of the whole experience was when we noticed our kayak-tour guy simply pulling out a siggy and start smoking:) 😂

We stopped for lunch at the covo bar when we were there, ended up staying there all afternoon waiting for the ferry. Lots of food and drinks lol the food and staff where fantastic

Visited Capri on a very rainy cold day, but loved it. Hope to visit again one day. I remember besides the beauty, I had the most unusual experience in a restaurant. Because it was cold and rainy, I had soup. It was extraordinarily good, but even more amazing it was that it tasted exactly like my mother’s! We called it kale soup in Scotland, where I grew up, and it was made with beef as the stock. I have never ever been able to replicate that soup and had never tasted it again after my mother died until that day. Two bowlful!

We went to Capri in May 2011 it was so cold we had to buy a coat. The bus ride up and down was hair raising. Stunning scenery. Shortly afterwards we left Naples to visit Amalfi and the contrast could not have been greater.

The last time I went to Capri it was choppy on the way there but coming back the boat was virtually underwater at times. A crew member went outside to tie down stuff that was moving around and when he got back inside he was completely drenched as if someone had turned a high powered hosepipe on him. I have never been so frightened, people were being sick and screaming. I just prayed. Capri was lovely though!
Ohhhh... I'm not good on boats...I went on a dolphin spotting one in Puerta Rica in Spain and I was fine while it was moving but it had to stop and bob up and down whilst waiting for customs to check there had been no pick ups on the way back... I had to focus on the land ahead as I felt so nauseous...awful feeling.
One word Nicki ... Spectacular! 💫 SO different to see Capri like this but one is able to take in so much more without the bustle of tourists. We stood for ages in a queue for the funicular railway in sweltering heat, hiring a scooter is the way to do it. OMG Carlo is like Superman, he tries everything, as does Skye and Nicola, swimming in those caves, wow! ...but i felt tad claustrophobic watching 😬

We were in Capri 2 years ago. We went to the Blue Grotto which was fantastic. Getting in thru that little hole in a boat is a complete experience - sitting literally on the bottom of the boat and ducking down when the boat guy said "now" or you would smack your head into the stone opening. And... we missed our direct ferry back to Amalfi, the last one of the night. We ran to see if there were any tickets available for Positano, which thankfully, there were. With an hour to kill, we ran into others on our ferry over who also missed the ferry back.. We sat and had drinks and had time to got to know one another. Once in Positano, the only option we had was to walk up from the ferry dock to the bus to take us back to Amalfi. That was quite a walk up and we were exhausted, but what a memorable day.
Fantastic video! Capri is absolutely beautiful. I have been there twice , hopefully we'll be able to come back and stay overnight. Love the blue grotto footage , can't wait for your next installment. Most enjoyable vlogs. Have a great summer with Italia all to yourselves 🙂

Lived in Naples for several.yrs. spent nearly weekend on Capri or other islands! Loved it an the flowers on the fences were beautiful!

I have never ever been able to replicate that soup and had never tasted it again after my mother died until that day. Two bowlful!

Shout out to Carlo for taking one for the team to get that footage! We were literally in Capri 2 years ago today and couldn’t go into the grotto, molto grazie for capturing what we missed. I have to say I’m green with envy right now and wish we could be there without the crowds. Loving these videos until we can someday return!

We went to Capri in May 2011 it was so cold we had to buy a coat. The bus ride up and down was hair raising. Stunning scenery. Shortly afterwards we left Naples to visit Amalfi and the contrast could not have been greater.

The last time I went to Capri it was choppy on the way there but coming back the boat was virtually underwater at times. A crew member went outside to tie down stuff that was moving around and when he got back inside he was completely drenched as if someone had turned a high powered hosepipe on him. I have never been so frightened, people were being sick and screaming. I just prayed. Capri was lovely though!
Ohhhh... I'm not good on boats...I went on a dolphin spotting one in Puerta Rica in Spain and I was fine while it was moving but it had to stop and bob up and down whilst waiting for customs to check there had been no pick ups on the way back... I had to focus on the land ahead as I felt so nauseous...awful feeling.

One word Nicki ... Spectacular! 💫 SO different to see Capri like this but one is able to take in so much more without the bustle of tourists. We stood for ages in a queue for the funicular railway in sweltering heat, hiring a scooter is the way to do it. OMG Carlo is like Superman, he tries everything, as does Skye and Nicola, swimming in those caves, wow! ...but i felt tad claustrophobic watching 😬
La Grotta Azzurra was breathtaking. I’ve been there numerous times. This was the best. 😳😱

We were in Capri 2 years ago. We went to the Blue Grotto which was fantastic. Getting in thru that little hole in a boat is a complete experience - sitting literally on the bottom of the boat and ducking down when the boat guy said "now" or you would smack your head into the stone opening. And... we missed our direct ferry back to Amalfi, the last one of the night. We ran to see if there were any tickets available for Positano, which thankfully, there were. With an hour to kill, we ran into others on our ferry over who also missed the ferry back.. We sat and had drinks and had time to got to know one another. Once in Positano, the only option we had was to walk up from the ferry dock to the bus to take us back to Amalfi. That was quite a walk up and we were exhausted, but what a memorable day.
