What is really touching my heart lately is how Italians are able to truly enjoy their beautiful country again without zillions of tourists everywhere. I know that's an economic problem, and I'm sure it will be remedied at some point, but to me, this season of "rest" is restoring the spirits of my Italian friends and neighbors. I can see it in their faces. They deserve this time during Feragosto to relish what is rightfully theirs. Thank you Nicki and Carlo for sharing your lovely day with us. God bless you.

I stayed the Hotel Convento years ago and did this walk every day for 8 days - it is wonderful to reach the heart of the village from this walk. This was a real trip down memory lane as that was about 20 years ago....There was an amazing Escher exhibit in Naples 1-1/2 years ago with lots of works done depicting the Amalfi Coast - was amazing. The sea is just glistening! So beautiful. Thanks again for doing these for all of us - I know it can take quite a lot of time and it much appreciated.

We absolutely loved our stay in Atrani and of course walked through the tunnel between there and Amalfi multiple times (so convenient). We had dinner one of our nights there right in the same piazza, but at Ristorante L'Abside instead. This area has been my favorite part of Italy that we have visited so far. I have to add that Pina, Pino (and their cat) at La Scogliera were absolutely some of the best hosts we have ever had.

Thanks to your video I knew about the Roman villa ruins under Il Ninfeo and bought some nice ceramics my wife lives after seeing the ruins. The video with the Siamese cat...the talker they and the Gingers are brilliant cats. They adapt easily. They are so darn intelligent. They are telepathic, and actually are fine talkers extremely interesting. Rescues and feral dogs and cats learn to get along. 60 yrs of togetherness here. Your life is paradise a taste of honey. A lot of work, but when 70-80yrs hits the appreciation and gratitude will carry a big smile and contentment.

Hi Nicki and Carlo! Great day! Everything and every place is so interesting! I LOVE LOVE LOVE all the flower pots and plants that are in tiny alleys, going up stairs and on walls along the roads.. Cand the plants are all so healthy! After my first trip to Italy I decided to do potted plants and everyday I'm tending to them, I think of Europe :) Your friend's shop with the picture of Jackie Kennedy was interesting. I was a kid when she and her sister spent holidays in Amalfi....I remember all the attention....she picked a beautiful place to relax with her kids. Nicki, I notice that there are palm trees growing here.....but not a lot. Why don't people plant a lot more of them...they are so tropical looking?
