U can eat both Neck and regular meat at the same time!!! And about arrows - just right click em... Also, stick already with one weapon skill, cause it raises ur damage with that weapon. If u kill with Axe, for example, and raise ur Axe Skill to 50, it's damage will be around 40. And if u damage with 5 different weapons and skills are around 10, u'll deal 10-15 damage with em. Bones are loot from skeletons, who can be found near stone graves at night. Dunno if they can be found under the sunlight in caves, I've never meet them at a daytime. Guess it's like minecraft. And last thing: u can found wild beehives in old buildings, and u can destroy them with bow, and if u're lucky - u'll find a bee queen, but it's kinda rare. Bee Queen allows building ur own beehive.
you have to be aware of the wind mechanic when hunting deer. look for the direction the wind is going and be upwind of the deer. you can walk really close to them without sneak if they cant smell you coming and it makes it really easy to hit them with the bow from just a dozen feet away or so.
Yes a hole in the roof will let the smoke out, BUT it will also let the rain in and that will put out the fire, however if you put two of the smallest upright posts *(one each side) then add a ridge roof tile above the hole and resting on the two upright post it will act as a vent for the smoke and protect your fire from the rain.

Oh btw, you and I have the same problem with the Bow...it has some insane drop, at least with the basic one. Dunno bout the upgrades yet =) I've beaten the boss and ready to move to the Black Forest
Slip may have figured it out by now but the best way to kill the deer are have a flint knife and sneek up behind one and you can it in one shot because the knife does extra damage when you are behind the target.

The flint knife and spear are pretty good. You can use the secondary attack with the knife to do 100 dmg right off. I used it and would sneak up on a deer and you leap forward and attack with it. One hit kills. And the spear can be thrown pretty far and is usually a one shot kill also if you are sneaking and it does more dmg than the club when using it for melee. Also, the best food combo is to eat both the tail and meat with either the berries or mushroom. That will put you to over 100 hp. The game considers the tail and meat as different food types.
you can one shot deer with a bow and just regular arrows. no need to spend eternity sneaking close. just aim high, higher the further away the deer is.
Tip for hunting deer for all those struggling. Follow a river or ocean and wait until you see a deer. Approach the deer from the opposite side of the water. The deer will try and swim away when its swimming away pull out your bow and it's a easy kill
You should find the Swamp area and get 10 fire cores so you can make the smelter and kiln. Its harder than the black forest, but its the next step to progress.
it can nudge your arrow slightly to the left or right. how high you have to aim is about the distance to the target. its pretty consistent and forgiving once you have a mental image of how high you have to aim in relation to the distance.
you can eat 2 types of meat for more hp check the item descriptions for the hp / stam they give. you just need to eat 3 different items it dosnt matter if all 3 are different types of meat or berries or mushrooms as long as they are all different items
Fire arrows are great for Greydwarfs and Greydwarf brutes. I have my base at the place you spotted and marked "new base?" - it's a great spot. There's copper and tin close by, and dungeons.

ik he probably knows by now so im a little late to this but easiest way to hunt deer is with the flint knife since backstab damage is a one shot

IF you need to fill a hole use the Hove to raise ground, it will COST you Stone
All you have to do is take out the lower parts of any building and the rest comes crashing down and you can pick up the wood.
i use spear and shield block very good with this lighting DEER (both wall and cirlce)
