Thanks for the excellent review. I've ridden one and loved it, but it's good to get a top rider's perspective. I've got an XR650R for the desert and open country; I'm getting an Xtrainer for everything else.
Man at 6’3” I am surprised you could ride it at all !!! I am 5’8” in my boots and I definitely can cramp up if sitting for any extended period of time !!! Have had mine for over a year now… love it !!!!
Thanks for the video! It was great hearing a review from someone with no preconceived notions of the bike. Torquey it is. The power is linear so there’s no power band. It’s made for tricker gnarly riding versus racing. It’s like a 3 stroke haha and looks great!
Not less stable but easier to purposefully pop the front wheel up. I love being able to pop the wheel up to easily hop over things. I think some people say the front is less stable at high speeds but again, the purpose of this bike is not to race, it's to ride tricky terrain. I find it more stable because the power is more linear.
@@bikersoncall Yes, the Xtrainer and Freeride are hybrid trial-enduro bikes and they do not have a typical 2 stroke power band- not sure what is so funny about that. The power is linear. It's a great unique bike.
I’m looking at betas, I believe the Xtrainer has a pipe in it that’s smaller, but it gives it more torque, so if you bought one you could buy an FMF fatty for it
Xtrainer sis the easiest to ride bike ever. Super nimble in rocks out here in Utah. My wife rides it. Just don’t get in big whoops in 3rd gear… it’ll buck ya. 😆
Great review, glad you are not biased to race bikes. like so many others. I'm 5'5" and honestly this is the only real dirt bike that has any real performance I have found that I can comfortably ride with any confidence. I hate kicking 250's leaned up against a tree. Asshole friends love that shit. Shitbirds...
NIce bike and nice video !!! have a honda 450 rx (enduro) but i am thinking of swapping for a 2 stroke. I'm torn between beta and sherco. What is your opinion regarding weight / power?
Would like to hear a comparison to your ktm 150.... I have a 150xcw that I ride for hare scrambles/gp's and technical enduro. Im a lighter rider at around 150lbs, so my 150 has no problem lugging up climbs. I am a lug master....haha, often a gear or 2 too high. Always looking for ways to tone down the top end in order to get more 'usable' gear before the hit. Im just not a high rpm rider. Thanks :)
this mite be the pefect old mans bike, my uncorked crf450x hands me my ass every ride- its like oh hey you lost your balls in turn 5 do you want them back?
Hey Derek I recently bought my first GoPro hero 9 and I would like to start doing videos like you! But unfortunately I need a place to put my GoPro and figured you’d be the guy to help. I have filmed but with another cheap camera. Also if there is anyone in the comments that can help that would be Amazing!
@@rochellestanley9532 no. This bike is not a RR(beta racing model). This one is a mix of a trial bike and enduro bike. Plus it's got 30ish horsepower, while the racing model got 20 or so more. Besides the power output, the forks and shocks are different, even the frame is different. Still the Xtrainer is a valid bike, it even mixes oil and gas separately, in order for newbies to not struggle with premix. Now, for me, I'd choose the RR but I do come from a racing bike so I definitely know how to work on one.
@@rochellestanley9532 this for sure, put Tim Coleman on a Xtrainer and me on a RR, I'm about to be whooped. Still, you can't tell me that evening riders will be faster on a Xtrainer, the RR 300 is a hell of a bike yet, has so much torque on the bottom power curve. The Xtrainer is a great starter bike and yes a pro would still go fast as lightning but the RR is a race machine.
@@DerekHallman I can't stop laughing and re watching that lmao, I think all bikes should have a Kickstart, I'm mean have u ever seen someone that's been on a electric start bike try to kick start a 250 4t lol

They had a good day in the woods for the demo man the dirt looks like it was amazing. Videos in the bank for days!!! Sweet deal!
By the end of the day when the lines were built up the dirt was niceeeee!
I already bougth my XT 300cc 2022 😁. I have 30H on it and I'm in love
That's awesome Fabio congrats on the bike 😁
I just bought this exact bike yesterday can't wait to go riding

Ah, the 3/4 frame bike. Also, their engines are tuned down.
The irony of that crash at 1:29... always happens.
Great video, very unbiased review and very interesting points about power delivery
Thanks Craig!
Awesome video, Thanks for the feedback. I just ordered one. Can't wait to hit some big hill climbs.

Don't like the stupid cables sticking up high over the front plate.
For those that don't know it's called a cross trainer
I love this bike man fun to riding specialy for extreme enduro. Im 5'8 so this bike fit me so well. Keep it up man!!

No insult intended, but competitive woods riders are nuts!

Damn, that "hot lap" looked like a blast on that bike. Looks like it leans over and sticks in corners pretty damn well.
Yeah it was a ton of fun! I was surprised at well this one handled. It felt lower to the ground so it was very easy to maneuver.

How much hp does it have with some aftermaket pipe?

Hows the suspension on that guy?
