Yes, EOD suits include as part of the gear that goes with the wearer inside a small size AC unit to keep the internal temp just BARELY within tolerable range, especially if one had to do sone EOD in the Middle East to disarm an IED where causing it to explode wasn't feasible (Infrastructure or Urban zone) or outright not remotely sane (Aka, the AlQaeda decided to use a USSR 500Kg bomb as the IED)

Being in a mascot suit is actually really hard work - it's hot and stuffy in there and movement is difficult. It's a job that takes a lot of dedication, and they're doing a great job - it's hard to communicate so much character with such a limited range of motion!

i remember in holofes 3 how much ame became viral, everyone around the world was bluffed at how much beautiful her singing became with puririn and that she stole the show from gura by a mile, but in the shadow others were speaking about the true stealer of the show, smol ame

the people in the costumes are doing a stellar job out there being their silly selves, but smol ame always kicks it out of the park whenever they show up, hope the people in the mascots get a raise it makes me hope that for 6th fes they end up bringing more mascots out into the real world, i imagine stuff like guyRyS and onigirya would be nice and easy to get set up, altho my personal hope would be seeing listener-kun going around, even tho the costume would be really top-heavy
I like to think that they have had the same person be Smol Ame for the last 3 years and they got soooo good at it. It's cute, funny and authentic to how I imagine real Smol Ame to act :D
I love it when the mascots were walking past all normal-like and then Smol Ame comes in and just skips, bounce and waves. It's like they told whoever is in the costume to do whatever they want lol.
Having worn a mascot suit at a job I had, I can confirm for all who were saying that these things are no joke. I only had to fill in for the guy normally doing it, so it was three trips of 10 minutes with 15 minute breaks in between. At first I thought this was a great exaggeration; HR going crazy with employee protection or something like that, but soon after, having stopped to greet a group of kids who were conveniently positioned under a patch of sun, I realised it wasn't. The suit is heavy and violently hot, it doesn't align with your balance, the head despite having a huge mesh and gaps between it and the main body feels like a full on gasmask. I never moved faster than a relaxed stroll, except for a small stretch to the office, which I would usually jog just to get the head off ASAP. The total assignment took about an hour, however I was ready to turn in for the day immediately afterwards XD Anyhow, I imagine with this being Japan at least some of the issues have been alleviated to a degree, but even still, huge respect to the costume person. Still, I'd maybe consider doing this full time with jumping and running if my salary was about 4 times higher than it was during my first experience 😂
I like to imagine that the person in there was given no direction on how to portray smol Ame, but still captures her fun vibe and chaotic energy flawlessly.
Hmm, I recently learned that in Japan, there are air-conditioned suits for laborers who work in hot conditions. It has little fans under the cloth to circulate cool air. I hope these mascots have something similar.
