I did the same with my turbo tail what you did....With the fins on the condenser you can use a heat gun to heat up the fins and they should straighten out better....your work and Innovations are inspiring.God bless.
Well thank you for all of your comments on the 911 videos. These cars have problems and when they do, ALL of them have the same issue. I am working on a magnesuim case right now and they all pull head studs making rework predictable. Thank you for subscribing, there will obviously be many more 911 g-body videos to come!
Thanks..I have a magnesium case 2.7 ltre with time serts.Check to see if yours dos' With these type of engines I found its best to have time serts so the studs won't break.good luck.@@afternoongarage
Yes going to use case savers as the VW crowd does. These appear to have a more aggressive thread and won't pull out as easily. Thanks for the advice and thank you again for watching my videos!
Hey Allan! I have seen 911 twin plug distributors go for $4-5K, but this one is $1-2K. There are so many different air cooled 6 cylinder blocks and the internals are different. What works on a NA 2.7 will not necessarily work on a NA 3.2. In fact, with different engine displacements they even changed the rotation from CW to CCW, so there are different depths, pinion teeth count as well as rotation. I will go over all the madness that goes along with having one of these made from spare parts. I would spend the money over and over again if I could get someone to provide me a good working unit. It would now appear that I have more knowledge rebuilding these than people who do this for a living. Paying someone who is an 'expert' to provide one of these for me backfired spectacularly. This is why I do everything myself and rely on nobody. Seems to get messed up every time. I'll figure it out!
Holy cow! I was always wondering what this company name was. I watched the Wheeler Dealer episode with the 912 in it a few times trying to get the name of this company. They never disclosed who it was. Now I know! I wish I had gone with him from the start, the guy in the video seems knowledgeable and looks like they have a hoard of 911 parts in that building. Thank you for recommending him to me. With this car, it is all about who you know. Thanks for watching.
Another great job ! ! A+ A+ A+
