Agreed! I caught this one on TV and even without subtitles and a low comprehension of the language I still got it, the movie conveys emotion so well, and the soundtrack sells it to. I found myself tearing up!
And yes I agree, there was so much I wasn't expecting, it was heartwarming and I can relate to most o this stuff that happens to my personal life. One thing I forgot to mention before was that I love anime now because of how smooth, and great the animations are and how emotional it is!!! ^-^
+Final Fantasy Dude, this film came out almost 3 years ago (Nov. 2013) and Chris reviewed it 2 years ago. Why are you writing a comment on this now? No one cares. Also, this film was a beautiful masterpiece, actually. If you don't *like* it, that's fine. But to say that it was a boring film just means you don't understand good filmmaking yet. Go watch more movies.
I'm really surprised you didn't talk about the score; this movie has perhaps one of the most beautiful soundtracks and definitely one of the most fitting. It really is stellar.
Never, in all my years of watching movies have i ever cried in one. But this one......this one did hit me really bad and made me emotional. I cried soo much that i didnt even think it would be that kind of movie. Its heartwarming, sad and funny everything was amazing 11/10.
My friend showed me this movie and after explaining the plot I thought oh great, I have to sit through this crap. I cannot believe how wrong I was I cried throughout most of it it was so beautiful and touching one of my favorite movies.
Reviewing the last two episodes of the original EVA is the most difficult job ever, equivalent to explaining why the scream is such an influential painting.
Ares Galamatis The ending of Neon Genesis Evangelion is terrible and the creators know it. Why do you think they remade the ending....twice. But overall, ignoring the original anime ending, Evangelion is great.
Button Nose not just hentai, many anime are shit, like most movies of the year. just don't think all anime are same. I didn't want to give examples with huge fanbase and attract hatred, but let me do. There is NARUTO: the original creator of Naruto uses only 2 main plot devices in his stories: flashbacks (almost half of the story is fhashbacks) and one mastermind behind all evil things (so far 7 of them appeared). He just doesn't have story telling talent, but good at creating nice fight scenes and adding some flesh to his characters. So once again, most anime are plain bad.
Sasapesso S Of course not all anime are good, saying so is an exaggeration. But when one starts quoting hentai (which are at the extreme end of the bad category) as a bad example of anime then obviously one hasn't seen enough to explain which ones are bad. So it's good that you explained why you think Naruto is bad.
Sasapesso S Saying that most anime is bad is harsh with the amount of good anime that comes out every season, for example, this season's got Zankyou no terror,Aldnoah Zero,Barakomon etc..every season's got good anime, bad anime..
goreycinema Chris Stuckmann makes a sex tape, then goes in depth at reviewing it. Outcome = "Fun while it lasted, but last long enough it did not. B-" xD
I never, ever cry but as an 18 year old going to leave home and having so much pressure and not wanting to disappoint my family the final song in the credits got me. Not bawling just two tears down my face. I have never felt to emotionally connected to a movie before.
I teared up some man tears at end of this movie not gonna lie. Seeing them grow up and change makes you feel attach to the characters in such a small time period if you anyone can understand what I mean.
I saw this movie yesterday.... IT WAS SO BeAUTIFUL!!!! The feels that you get from this movie it's just unbelievable I'm so getting it on blu-ray. Spoiler for anyone who hasn't seen it.....my favorite scene in the movie is when Yuki reveals her wolf form to her friend because it shows she doesn't need to be afraid of the other side of her it was really touching to me. Also with the 3 movies Hosoda has done in my opinion he could be the next Miyazaki
This movie is terrific. A story about single motherhood, the lasting effects of lost love, and the relationship between siblings. The wolf aspect is simply a storytelling tool to convey these themes. An absolutely beautiful movie. Thanks Chris, this movie deserves so much more attention.
Well I bought the movie....and at first I had doubts about it....(like i thought that it was too sad.... first of all...) but....now I know it finish well....and The backgrounds are amazing! And the music....wow!!!
Wolf children movie was that amazing that I cried on it. And usually I don't really cry for a lots of things and when something like this happen I assume it's a masterpiece.
I'm so happy you're doing anime reviews. Could you sometime in the future review Death Note? It's a great series; and the director of the anime also directed Attack on Titan, which is also a huge hit.
Oh no wonder why I love Attack on Titan. Death Note was a AMAZING anime and differently one of the BEST! And the live action movies were amazing too. I can't wait till the live action movie of Attack On Titan.
I just started watching Death Note a few days ago. It is basically the first anime I have gotten into (minus stuff like Pokemon and Digimon, which I got into as a kid). I'm on episode 7 right now and it is amazing.
ohh yeah Monster... it's a nice serie, its not the usual anime sci-fi or fantasy or fighting, its about that everybody have a monster inside us, and also the people who looks like a monster can have a great heart the only thing bad is that the plot it can be really slow at times
I think we all can empathize with Hana (the mother), we can feel her struggles, her love, her pain, her joy... Everything. This movie helped me to understand my mother a bit more.
This movie...the best movie ever for me...and I truly mean that...it's just one of those movies that only comes around once in a lifetime...words cannot describe how much I love this movie...and I am being serious here...I have watched this movie more than twenty times and I am not sick of it at all, I want to keep watching it and it's still good...although sometimes I do wonder...what if Ame and Yuki was caught being Wolf Children and what would happen there? What would happen if the father was still alive? What if there was a sequel...not that I'm asking for one...I mean having a second one would just ruin it all really...but still I wonder what happens next and such...does Ame and Yuki p[ass on the...wolf gene....whatever they have that can turn them into wolves...but you get the idea. As for Summer Wars...loved it, but not as much as this movie. As for the Girl who leapt through time, also a good one, but cannot find the DVD or Blu-ray or get it because for whatever reason it's so expensive...at least where I've looked for it that is...can anyone tell me why that movie goes for a high price?
I'm so glad you're reviewing anime stuff now, Chris! Confession time: I'm subscribed to more than enough movie review channels already, so I thought I'd unsubscribe to you since I...usually don't watch your reviews too often, not sure why. Now, though? You're the only anime reviewer in my sub box. Time to keep that subscription!
SPOILERS!! Wolf Children was a good movie and i enjoyed it. BBUUUUUUUUUUUUUTTTTT I had a problem with the ending. Her son chooses to be a wolf, at 10 years old, and leaves his mom and sister. That's not a small thing. He is now a missing child. How she going to explain this to the police? Won't they wanna know why he wasn't attending school before he disappeared? Will everybody start begging questions about the mom? I know im looking to far into this, but the kid took off and is now a missing person. Still a good movie though
Weyran Yea, I was thinking that too. I remember in the film somebody said they didnt have wolves in that area for hundreds of years. So, i thought now that people learned that their is a wolf in the area, and that a boy went missing, they would suspect the wolf did it. I also thought if people would not hunt it down, they would to still be asking the question of "Where did this wolf come from?". They would either study the wolf or try to capture it. I like the movie but the ending kind of made me think it was a bad idea that boy would just live in the wild as a wolf
What about her missing husband too? Add a missing child to that mix and she better have some good reasons for any males in her life ending up missing. Child services having the door slammed in their faces? Kids getting sick and possibly needing professional care? Animal sounds in apartments where no animals are allowed and she obviously lies about it? Nah, lets just forget about these problems and move to the next scene...
She could simply say that he ran away from home of course people are gonna feel sorry for her for losing her son but she'll be alright cause she came to terms with it.
Momaru Hosoda is my favorite anime director (that's not Hayao Miyazaki). His movies always have this fantastical side to it with these emotionally investing stories. And the animation and atmosphere is just breathtaking. Wolf Children might be his best movie, but my favorite is Girl Who Leapt Through Time.
Chris. I just got goose bumps from you making this review. I still can't believed you took my recommendation. Thank you very much for doing this review. 😄
You should definitely review Grave of The Fireflies. It's not only jaw dropping emotional throughout the film, it is completely real! It centers on two young children during the 2nd world war, and what hardships they go through just to stay alive. It is one of the most powerful movies of all time, but one of the best war movies as well.
This movie is truly one of the best MOVIES ever made. Never mind it being animated, it's simply one of the best movies iv'e seen. I love quality and this delivers. It's for people who appreciate the journey not just action movies.
I teared up like 3 times during this movie. Its such a beautiful heart breaking masterpiece. I think it got to me more because im a father. This movie was a gem thank you chris for letting us know about this incredible movie.
One of the most difficult things you do with every review I've seen is to try to transmit the essence of the film and at the same time to summarize it without making spoilers. Great fan of every single piece of art you make in your amazing channel! Congs. Chris Stuckmann
Just finished the movie...This movie grabbed my heart, hugged it, told me a sad story, stomped it and made me CRY! It was like I lived through their struggles, and god was it wonderful. 10/10 from me.
Chris Stuckmann Can't thank you enough for starting this anime review series! I saw Wolf Children last year and I absolutely loved it. Honestly I love Mamoru Hosoda's works even more than Hayao Miyazaki's. His works are more contemporary and the animation is just as lush and stunning.
Just watched this because of this channel and omgosh it was beautiful it had me balling and wanting to call my mom. It's a beautiful love letters to single mothers and the strength it takes to choose love and push forward after losing something.
I've watched this film a few months ago, and have shared it with several of my friends. It really is a surprisingly heartwarming film. For me, it was a unique way of using the theme on embracing who you are. I agree that this would be an awesome film for parents and would-be parents as well since it depicts the struggle and acceptance of the choices that their children can make. The artwork was awesome (the snow scene was especially magical). I think this is an awesome debut to your anime film reviews (though this isn't really the first as you have previously reviewed Perfect Blue, The Wind Rises, etc). I hope that you review Five Centimeters Per Second one of these days; I just wanted to hear your opinion on it, awesome film. I'd also like to suggest another anime film, it's not that famous though--Gin-iro no Kami no Agito. Whatever movie or series you review first, am always gonna watch your well-thought and well-rounded reviews. Thanks for sharing!
Only problem with this movie is that it should be rated PG13. I tried to watch it with my 6 year old but had to shut it off. I watched it myself and liked it a lot though. I'll let my daughter watch it in a few years.
I actually agree with you there. When I watched it there was not a single moment that struck me as something made with children in mind, instead it was an incredibly adult (thematically, not well... You know) animated movie that for some odd reason scooted by with a PG. I'm not positive that was the right choice.
I guess I could see where you're coming from, I suppose. Is it the scene with the mother/father? Or the over-all theme? I find this a great film for adults in the relatable and emotional kind of way, though I feel like it'd be fine for kids, as they most likely don't pick up on such things, rather than the cuter moments in the movie? That's just me, though.
+Ciel Phantomhive Well there's the implied sex scene. No, not much nudity but you know what's going on. They also show some nipple during a breast feeding scene. And the one death scene was a bit strong. Other than that though, it's flawless.
0:50 'He's not a werewolf though. He doesn't go around eating people and tearing stuff up" That's kind of racist, Chris. XD I think you misunderstood what the main character had meant. She was giving this movie's take on werewolves and meant that all that stuff that people say about werewolf-like beings are just myth (like them turning under a full moon and slaughtering people and other animals), and that they are just individuals with a special ability that are not just monsters and have control of their ability and what they are. But anyway, by definition, they are werewolves. Individuals that can change form from that of a human into that of a wolf or wolf-like form (there are times when they look more like a wolf and other times when they look more anthropomorphic). Sound like werewolves to me. l=D Yeah they aren't the typical werewolves most are use to seeing that can turn people into werewolves, tear living things apart, and look frightening when they transform, but we have to remember this is a Studio Ghibli family film here and some people do put their own spin on things. Though that would have been totally awesome if they had made them a bit more like the typical werewolves. It was still a good film though.
KantoKraze It kind of is. Like if someone says "he's not Mexican though. He doesn't jump borders and entering countries illegally." It's painting a group of people negatively.
KantoKraze It kind of is. They are a group of people. They may be a fictional group of people (though there are sightings and real life accounts where people have claimed to have seen werewolves for centuries and even today), but they are still a group. A group doesn't have to exist for it to be racism. Prejudice or racism can take place concerning works of fiction too.
+Yay Me No, no. It doesn't quite work like that. As you see, racism is a real life issue- constantly surrounding everyday life in many many countries. what specifies a "race", you ask? here's Merrian Webster's explanation of the one we are speaking of: "a family, tribe, people, or nation belonging to the same stock (or) a class or kind of people unified by shared interests, habits, or characteristics". You see, both have within their definition, "people", which werewolves are not. The origin of the word "werewolf" comes from the old English version of "wer", meaning man, and "wulf", of course, meaning wolf. Therefore the term "werewolf" simply has no place under this category, seeing that it fits under a "not so human after all". Animals don't fit under the category of a race either, so werewolves certainly couldn't, being monsters, after all. Also, the history of werewolves is quite interesting, from the beginning. here's a page on the first sightings: alam25.tripod.com/first.htm but anyway, even from the start werewolves were depicted as bad. it's just how they were meant to be depicted. as monsters who couldn't control themselves under the light of a full moon. (thats why I don't think the "wolves" in wolf children are werewolves after all.) they remind me a bit of how books and TV shows such as Teen Wolf and Twilight humanizes them more then they are actually supposed to be. Stories to frighten children and tell them "if you're not in by sundown, the werewolves will get you!" haha.
KantoKraze Where is anything that says that fictional characters cannot be viewed as racist? Werewolves are seen as a group of people or species. In Underworld, both werewolves and vampires are classified as races and even are involved in certain issues that our real world faces today such as segregation and war. Also, even today in our more educated and modern society, werewolf sightings are still being reported with people swearing they've seen one. Are they real or not? It is safe to say we don't really know and are leaning more towards them not being real, but there is a possibility. They say that many legends and myths are based on some truth. Some even try to use science to explain the possibility of werewolves. Here is that video here from the channel HowStuffWorks. Enjoy. l=D www.yourepeat.com/watch/?v=_cc7ivXmVxY
Lolzzzz... you just said " everyone will make fun of them and treat them like outcasts .. if their secret comes out ... lolzzz what a naive little boy, has so much of faith in humanity ... well in reality they would be just KILLED ..!!!
This movie is.... Amazing. I made my parents watch, and they love it, they call it the "wolfies movie", it seems there is something even more special to them about Wolf Children, probably because they raised their own kids. I feel like crying watching this review, cuz it makes me think of the movie D:
I'm surprised. Mainly because I wasn't expecting you to review a movie like this and enjoy it, which was close-minded of me, yes I know. I really like the works of Mamoru Hosoda, and I'm glad you mentioned The Girl Who Lept Through Time because that movie was phenomenal. Looking forward to more anime reviews :) It's awesome to see you branch out.
Thank you so much for reviewing anime now, Chris. I'm really looking forward to this. Like you stated in your previous video, anime is greatly underrated over here in the states. Even if you convinced just one person to watch one of the movies/shows you will be reviewing I think you did your job.
Since you started talking about Anime Chris iv watched, Akira, Ghost in the shell and Princes mononoke. I loved all these movies and just wanted to say i appreciate you introducing me again into anime.
Wolf Children is my fav film. I consider it to be my number one and it's been there ever since 2012. I hope more and more people will end up watching it and loving it. It is perfection.
The foreplay scene was very bewildering since Ookami was in wolf form. I feel reassured this review pointed that out. From a metaphoric point of view, I think it symbolizes the complexity of their children personalities and which side will be overwhelming rather than a question of genes and shapes.
@@danymartinmejiacabrera2111 I don't know maybe when they both go on separate ways, and live there life how they want to live, one like a wolf and one like a human.
***** Personally, I actually liked the 2nd arc as much as the first arc. While I do like L more than I do with Near and Mello, I still liked the latter two. Then again, it's just my opinion.
It can be found in English and the english dub is slightly worse than the original japanese audio. For most anime the subtitled versions are vastly superior and watching the dubbed version can heavily detract for the experience.
I'm pretty sure it's in English, but the Japanese voice actors in anime usually do a better job of portraying emotions through their characters. It's something you can only really understand after watching a LOT of anime, but Japanese dubs are usually better than English in MOST (not all) cases.
I just saw this movie 3 days ago (so this video was a pleasant surprise), and I actually agree with everything he said. Funny he mentioned Miyazaki, because this movie actually felt kind of like My Neighbor Totoro to me. Maybe it was the setting. So, if you liked that, I see no reason for not liking this.
It's a movie that indeed hits you pretty hard in the feels. It didn't push me quite to the point where I was uncontrollably crying but this movie definitely has some strong themes. There's romantic love, parental love, even sibling love, the burden of everyday life, living with a secret, growing up, the fear of almost losing someone, the pain of actually losing someone, and choosing your own path. Gotta say I really was both happy and sad when Yuki chose a life as a human and Ame chose a life as a wolf.
Oh god, I saw this movie a few weeks back and watching your review is making me teary-eyed, haha. The story is just so beautiful and the main female protagonist really reminds me of my own mother. :c
right in the FEELS from the beginning of the movie i was at the edge of man tears. the music, the scenes, the tenderness of the characters. damn! it was beautiful!
I have been thinking about watching this movie but have kept putting it off. You have convinced me...thats the next movie I'll watch :) So happy you're doing anime reviews!
This was my favorite anime movie for a long time, and last week my little brother saw it for the first time. He hasn't stopped in days. He's only 6, he is used to watch a lot of action/comedy cartoons, but he just loves it anyway.
The older Grandpa guy giving her tips on how to farm is totally Clint Eastwood.
First thing that came into my mind as well lmao
Blows my mind you said that I thought it while watching
Bruh you and I was telepathically in tune while watching the old geezer in the animated film then🤣😂
I think he died. They never gave him any screen time after that.
5 years late but that is so on point.
I almost never cry in movies, but this one just destroyed me.
please watch guilty crown
it is so good only 22 episodes
same i got fucked up
Agreed! I caught this one on TV and even without subtitles and a low comprehension of the language I still got it, the movie conveys emotion so well, and the soundtrack sells it to. I found myself tearing up!
I held it together until the penultimate scene. My tears threshold then got leveled by a bulldozer and I spent the next half hour bawling like a baby.
"I'm gonna be a little girl all the way home."
"I'm gonna be a little boy all the way home." Am I the only one who fell in love with baby Ame?! ❤ So adorable!!
SadieShadowWing best character
SadieShadowWing Baby Ame was the cutest thing in the movie
*REPEATS 12 000 TIMES*
I just got done watching this, and I legitmentally cried at the end of this movie for more and because of how strong of an engaging film this was.

It made me cry five times. By the final scene I was a complete train wreck and cried for a solid 15 minutes :')

Plot twist: He dislikes Evangelion.

Not physically, so therefore you won't be there
Ares Galamatis The ending of Neon Genesis Evangelion is terrible and the creators know it. Why do you think they remade the ending....twice. But overall, ignoring the original anime ending, Evangelion is great.
I'll admit it.... I cried at the end....
beware non anime fans. There are a lot of bad anime out there. You might come upon to Boku no Pico and hate life.
You're talking about "hentai" though *shiver*

4:16 For a second I thought you said "I'll have my review of my sex tape up soon"
He did. He was joking XD
AndrewsFaceTime I've been laughing at this comment for 20 minutes.

Same, especially with the music
I'm not much of an anime guy. But I must say, this is one of my most favorite films of all time. Truly a master piece. This movie surprised me.
+The Devil Is A Part-Timer Agreed :)
I love that anime in your username
+ogrely aggressive I was thinking the same thing
See Akira and Ninja Scroll
Inside Out makes you cry then patches you back up, then makes you cry then patches you back up.
I just kept crying with Wolf Children.
These anime movies just want to make you feel pain...
+Gravitynaut I'm watching it now. The pain feels so good...
+Mikael R. I know... It's has so many feels, but it's beautifully animated and brilliantly told.
Gravitynaut I'm watching it right now as background noise. I am now watching the boy and the beast eng sub online. Want a link?
+Mikael R. Nah, I think I'll wait for the Blu Ray. But thanks anyways!
So glad to see you starting up the anime reviews so quickly. Love the intro as well!
You're just saying that because the intro isn't that great tbh
*****
I actually really liked it, so no, I'm not just saying that.
It's simple but I liked it to it reminds me some old adultswim toonami commercial

Both are awesome, easily my 2 favourite animes, AOT edges it though
Spot on Stuckmann, it was really beautiful, too say no one really knows about it.
Love that you are reviewing anime.
This is a MUST WATCH anime film. Outstanding 8.5/10
I just watched it and I absolutely loved it. Not only one of my new favourite animated films but also one of my new favourite films in general.
review monster (anime)
ohh yeah Monster... it's a nice serie, its not the usual anime sci-fi or fantasy or fighting, its about that everybody have a monster inside us, and also the people who looks like a monster can have a great heart
the only thing bad is that the plot it can be really slow at times

Perfection.
i know right? its so amazingly good
OMG, yes. I am in the middle of it right now and I love it!
I think we all can empathize with Hana (the mother), we can feel her struggles, her love, her pain, her joy... Everything. This movie helped me to understand my mother a bit more.
To all those who say that Wolf Children is the best Anime movie you are wrong, I say Wolf Children is the best Animated movie of all time
Joshua Wai definitely one that will be remembered for the ages.
your name took me on a feel trip
Migi Chambers who's?
Epicplayer 62 "your name" watch it
Migi Chambers OH. Yeah I already watched it, i thought you were talking about someone's name in the comments
I'd have to watch it again, but the way I remember it the son doesn't just transform into a wolf--he transforms into an asshole.
Demian Haki He's 10
I don’t see how he could be viewed as an asshole. He knew what he wanted to be. He found where he belonged.
He wanted to be a wolf bro. That's why Hana had bought them there in the first place ,to be able to choose what kinda life they'd want to lead.

Yeah I can only hope he reviews Naruto I dunno only time will tell
You should definitely check out Sawyer7mage
I have the same issue. The movie was so good but the ending really mad me mad and I can’t get over it yet.
They can't do that cause they have no evidence that the wolf ate the child or that he was even eaten. She could simply say that he ran away from home.
"The girl who leapt through time" is my favorite by Hosoda, wolf children was amazing as well
Momaru Hosoda is my favorite anime director (that's not Hayao Miyazaki).
I love this movie so much, its so amazing!
Chris, I hope you review Mamoru Hosoda's latest film, The Boy and the Beast, when it comes out!
One of the most difficult things you do with every review I've seen is to try to transmit the essence of the film and at the same time to summarize it without making spoilers. Great fan of every single piece of art you make in your amazing channel! Congs. Chris Stuckmann
Watched Wolf Children before this review. Loved it. Great review Chris.
Just finished the movie...This movie grabbed my heart, hugged it, told me a sad story, stomped it and made me CRY! It was like I lived through their struggles, and god was it wonderful. 10/10 from me.
Review Steins;Gate, it is one of the few pieces of media and entertainment out there that handles time travel amazingly well.
This this this! Steins;Gate is fantastic.
yep. I actually think it's one of the best anime ever made. It's a toss up between that and fma b for me.
You should try to review ano hana , it about friendship adn childhood stuffs and growing up.i think it can make you cry.
Just watched this because of this channel and omgosh it was beautiful it had me balling and wanting to call my mom. It's a beautiful love letters to single mothers and the strength it takes to choose love and push forward after losing something.
I really hope you continue to do anime reviews on a normal basis. Great review, by the way.
Have you watched Summer Wars? Its definitely meant more for children I believe.
Yes, I did let me daughter watch it right after the breast feeding scene. The entire rest of the movie is just so good.
4:52 Chris saying MP3 player just knocked me back some years
Hey Chris, are the anime films going to be included in the top 10 video of 2014?
The first mamoru hosoda ive seen, and it was amazing!!! Hopefully I can see more soon.

'He's not a werewolf though. He doesn't go around eating people and tearing stuff up"
That's kind of racist, Chris. XD
I think you misunderstood what the main character had meant. Sound like werewolves to me. l=D
Yeah they aren't the typical werewolves most are use to seeing that can turn people into werewolves, tear living things apart, and look frightening when they transform, but we have to remember this is a Studio Ghibli family film here and some people do put their own spin on things. Though that would have been totally awesome if they had made them a bit more like the typical werewolves. It was still a good film though.
that's not the same thing as being "racist" at all..
KantoKraze It kind of is. Like if someone says "he's not Mexican though. He doesn't jump borders and entering countries illegally."
It's painting a group of people negatively.
Also, the history of werewolves is quite interesting, from the beginning. here's a page on the first sightings: alam25.tripod.com/first.htm
but anyway, even from the start werewolves were depicted as bad. it's just how they were meant to be depicted. as monsters who couldn't control themselves under the light of a full moon.
Enjoy. l=D

This movie is.... Amazing. I made my parents watch, and they love it, they call it the "wolfies movie", it seems there is something even more special to them about Wolf Children, probably because they raised their own kids.
I feel like crying watching this review, cuz it makes me think of the movie D:
PLEASE REVIEW ANGEL BEATS !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh hi, didn't know you were here. XD
***** lol hey,my fellow fan of EDM. ;))
***** Randomly searched a review for Wolf Children. Randomly looks at the comments. FOUND YOU.
lol it's that simple.
***** Gotta love these coincidences,huh ? Anime + EDM =
***** Yeah, I watch Anime too. :3
This movie seriously made me cry.. It is such an amazing movie :')
Thank you so much for reviewing anime now, Chris. I'm really looking forward to this. Like you stated in your previous video, anime is greatly underrated over here in the states. Even if you convinced just one person to watch one of the movies/shows you will be reviewing I think you did your job.
How could you like animation but not anime? How... How?
Since you started talking about Anime Chris iv watched, Akira, Ghost in the shell and Princes mononoke. I loved all these movies and just wanted to say i appreciate you introducing me again into anime.
What about Ninja Scroll and Vampire Hunter D Bloodllust?
Review Battle of Gods.

Wolf Children is my fav film. I consider it to be my number one and it's been there ever since 2012. I hope more and more people will end up watching it and loving it. It is perfection.
Giving it an A...

Loving this new addition to your channel. Thanks!
amazing
Hosodas best movie
You have a talent with descriptive dialogue and presenting it appealingly. I wish you the best of luck.
A really cute movie and heartwarming
What was your favorite moment in the movie?
@@danymartinmejiacabrera2111 When the daughter shows her wolf form to the boy
@@DrDolan2000beautiful scene 👩🐺😯
@@DrDolan2000 you realized that Ame and Souhei never interacted
@@francomc9874 Interesting. I guess it wasn't needed they interact 🤷
This movie is incredibly touching. Highly recommended. I always get a little teary-eyed at the end.
I'd rather you do anime reviews exclusively. From now on all anime okay?
The foreplay scene was very bewildering since Ookami was in wolf form. I feel reassured this review pointed that out. From a metaphoric point of view, I think it symbolizes the complexity of their children personalities and which side will be overwhelming rather than a question of genes and shapes.
This movie is a masterpiece
What was your favorite moment in the movie?
@@danymartinmejiacabrera2111 I don't know maybe when they both go on separate ways, and live there life how they want to live, one like a wolf and one like a human.
Everything he said.
I loved Wolf Children. Watch it. Especially if you're a parent raising kids at the moment. #anime
Review death note, guilty crown, and code geoss
LOL... *SPOILERS* Love how your choices are all animes where pretty cool characters are killed off
***** Personally, I actually liked the 2nd arc as much as the first arc. While I do like L more than I do with Near and Mello, I still liked the latter two. Then again, it's just my opinion.
enterfolly soooo... akame ga kill?
YYEEEAAAHHH BUDDY ANIME REVIEWS!!! This is gonna be the best series for me next to Hilariocity reviews! Good shit chris
the ending is depressing as fuck and trys to pass it off as peace of mind but its still a god damn masterpeice
Ik I hate the ending
I am so happy that you've decided to do anime reviews!
this movie seems cool but im not an anime guy so i have a question. is this in English or do i have to read captions?
It can be found in English and the english dub is slightly worse than the original japanese audio. For most anime the subtitled versions are vastly superior and watching the dubbed version can heavily detract for the experience.
I can't find much info about it but it seems like there is only subtitles for now. But there is a trailer with english dub I found.
If you can pick up a copy from some place like best buy it should be in english
I'm pretty sure it's in English, but the Japanese voice actors in anime usually do a better job of portraying emotions through their characters. It's something you can only really understand after watching a LOT of anime, but Japanese dubs are usually better than English in MOST (not all) cases.
English dub is generally meh. If you know spanish, there's an spanish dub. If subtitles bother you so much...then just watch the english dub.
Is there such a thing as a bad anime? I have never seen one before.
Anime is just like a "medium". There are good movies and bad movies, there are good tv series and bad tv series, as well as good anime and bad anime.
Mars of destruction is a masterpiece, try it out
Power Puff Girls Z, one of the worst I've seen.
School Days...'Nough said.
yes some anime are awful, as with live action movies and tv.
I just recently had a chance to see this film on Netflix, its one of the most emotional Anime's I've ever seen! Great film!
Solid review. I love the film though I happen to be in the camp that prefers Summer Wars. I'd like to see you review Tokyo Godfaathers.
I can't wait to see more of these reviews. These kind of movies do inspire me to do animation for the future
I really hope this catches on for you
It's probably the best idea that I've seen from a youtube movie reviewer in a while
It's a movie that indeed hits you pretty hard in the feels.
I watched this movie today, and it's been a long time since a movie made me cry. It was fucking beautiful and heartwarming.
Oh god, I saw this movie a few weeks back and watching your review is making me teary-eyed, haha. The story is just so beautiful and the main female protagonist really reminds me of my own mother. :c
Wonderful review. You mentioned every impression I had on the film in-depth. Well done!
right in the FEELS
from the beginning of the movie i was at the edge of man tears.
the music, the scenes, the tenderness of the characters.
damn! it was beautiful!
I have been thinking about watching this movie but have kept putting it off. You have convinced me...thats the next movie I'll watch :) So happy you're doing anime reviews!
One of the most beautiful anime I ever seen! A masterpiece
This was my favorite anime movie for a long time, and last week my little brother saw it for the first time. He hasn't stopped in days. He's only 6, he is used to watch a lot of action/comedy cartoons, but he just loves it anyway.
I'm really happy that you are doing Anime reviews. Anime is one of my favorite forms of entertainment.
