Most demolition maps were based on L4D maps: - Sugarcane -> Hard Rain Map 2-3 - Bank -> Hard Rain Map 1 - Lake -> Death Toll Map 5 - Safehouse -> Blood Harvest Map 5 - St. Marc -> Swamp Fever Map 1 There was even a cut demolition map called Alleyway that was based on No Mercy Map 1 but it was cut during development.
I played this map a ton on CSGO xbox 360 version (pre-PC launch), it was one of the top most fair xbox controller maps because controls were so hard and a mess, that all the crazy angles were OP and in op way fair
CSGO mapping has lot of potential but due to highly competitiveness of the game maps are built quite basic Wish there was a mode where valve would add all funky community made maps
Monastery has alot of potential for a collection ngl. Sugarcane arguably too, but who´d like a collection filled with rust coat and jungle skins and so on
I love de_italy. I personally find it the best map in the hostage map pool, as someone whose most played gamemode is deathmatch on hostage map group. However, the video was awesome, thanks for making it
In a world of rampant terrorism, governments across the globe were finding and funding ways to combat this ever-growing threat. One of which was a brand new serum to turn our brave countrymen into unstoppable guardians, or super soldiers as critics might say. However the fruits of their labour were rotten. Through negligence this serum found its way off the military research labs and into the general populous. Fortunately the victims were taken and stabilised at their local Hospital, Mercy. Unfortunately the payday gang had business there. Within weeks a new pandemic was born, which the CDC labled the 'Green Flu'. It was too late. They were too late. People across america were left 4 dead. Still one of my favourite game theories to this day
Sugar cane was great, it was a goofy map in a time when csgo had its casual roots. Lately it seems that this causal aspect has been removed in order to make room for competitive play. Always did wonder what crazy maps we could of got if people would not cry all the time
as far as hostage goes cs_assault is DEFINITELY played less than cs_italy. if you play hostage casual much you know that assault hardly ever gets picked
Bro I have been interested in knowing which was the least played official map in csgo but was too lazy to do research. So thank you for covering the topic and also thank you for the laughing guy video, it's still making me laugh. W for you.
The least played casual map might be train or cache. People on Defuse group Delta will mostly vote between mirage and inferno, sometimes even nuke, but cache and train are voted really rarely. Italy gets at least some playtime, but on a more unpopular group.
There's a shitton of recycled content from L4D2 in CS:GO especially in the early years.. Even many weapons have the same model in both games just with a different texture work. AK, Deagle, Glock, G3, Mac-10, XM1014 are all copypasted with minimal changes. The old weapons sounds were also recycled as well as some UI elements like the tutorial popups
one of the reasons they probably wanted to create cs2. they didn't wanna use 2009 models (and probably a lot of code was recycled too) anymore for a game that gets 1.200.000 players every day.
I love sugarcane :( I've been very inspired by it in my own mapmaking efforts. Maybe it's not the best in the demolition gamemode, but go on a private bot server with 31 bots, and you'll have a blast!
Oh God, I remember playing a few demolition games on all of these maps back when I bought CSGO in 2015... It was already abandoned in 2015 tbh and those maps felt like CS Source ports and even then they were outdated compared to MM maps we had at that time. Im not saying that I didnt have some fun here but it was pretty wanky and that gamemode was and still feels like some community made mod or some CS clone that you can buy for 5$ on Steam in Early Access
would you like some steamkeys for the multiplayer FPS ive been working on for the last 2 and a half years? some feedback on layout design would be good, i know all the mechanics are still janky and its buggy and still in alpha but whatever trever its still fun to play

Yes, some sort of community server browser
@@tehjamerz community servers in csgo are pretty much dead (west NA at least)
i never see any servers filled unless theyre 24/7 dust 2 DM
@@lolxdlolmfaololxdd8879 they are dead because valve wanted them so
@@lolxdlolmfaololxdd8879 I mean I play on Arab and Indian servers and they are mostly always full most of them are retake and stuff
Competitive absolutely destroyed any potential CSGO had.

Sugarcane arguably too, but who´d like a collection filled with rust coat and jungle skins and so on
Well it would probably just look like sand dashed skins , you need a good artist to make sugarcane pop
I always liked Sugarcane, one of my favorite Demo maps. And yes, I have the Run of the Mill achievement.
I love de_italy. I personally find it the best map in the hostage map pool, as someone whose most played gamemode is deathmatch on hostage map group. However, the video was awesome, thanks for making it
The least played map is Dust2 everybody knows that
Imma go play some just because
exactly
What is Dust2?
No dust2 is a hit in csgo if dust2 is the least played map in csgo then why did valve didn't remove it?

Incredible Vibe
Great History Lesson
Amazing Oration; Perfect Commentary Voice
Especially the Outro gimmick
Thank You
As someone who plays casual hostage mode a lot, i can say with confidence that italy is being picked much more often than assault.
Sugar cane was great, it was a goofy map in a time when csgo had its casual roots.

i like mill. i hate that modern maps have to be sterile and super competitive to be considered fun.
Keep making videos about CS , I love them
as far as hostage goes cs_assault is DEFINITELY played less than cs_italy. if you play hostage casual much you know that assault hardly ever gets picked
Yeah, Right. For me at least assault always gets voted
this map has an easy out of bounds boost on one of the silos
Despite being a smaller content creator. Your videos are very high quality. Keep it up dude

Don't forget the medi-shot that it is literally the same as the adrenaline of L4D2.

@@avert_bs CS2 still uses many assets from L4D2, such as some vehicles and the AK.
ak has a completely new model unless you're using an older skin that wasn't updated

Before watching this video, I'm gonna say train!
You forgot an even more unplayed official map. The CSGO Tutorial Map.
I'd say it's Anubis
It's a new map, I know there's faults
how you man dont have a runk ?
Gj, boyo ❤️
I would have to say cs_747 is the least played map
now let’s find out the least playable map
Make a cs1.6 and css version
you should talk about de_bank, which sucks ass

yey I played this
de_ means defusal, not demolition.
Mirage is the most played bc
Of the competition about csgo
