"if the beauty of that creature is stunningly beautiful then how infinitely surpassing is the beauty of the creator who designed that beauty"- What a wonderful line from this video!
TLDR: when seeing a hot woman on the street, thank God for her beauty, recognize how sin distorts your desires, ask Jesus to enter into your desires to redeem them, practice fasting to practice self control generally, and always stay focused on Jesus
If noticed her as hot already you've sinned. lol. I remember years ago we were at a beach and as we were sitting there all of sudden men/ boys started stand up farther down the beach ( It looked like a human wave, like what you would see in a football stadium ) when the wave got where we were here they're was 2 drop dead gorgeous girls, I'm assuming in their 20's walking a along the beach. I certainly celebrated beauty that day. That's when I realized there must be a God.
I’m going to start fasting every Friday, while also taking cold showers every day, and keeping consistent with my workout routine. I’m hoping that building discipline with these methods will help me resist temptations (especially porn).
Galatians 3:1 “O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, CRUCIFIED among you?”
What I was taught recently in college is A.B.C. meaning: Acknowledge their beauty, don't avoid, as he mentions in the video. Bless them by thanking God that they were made that way. Continue on your day.
@@kevbro2 Your comment is insightful. There aren't too many people who lust after a flower, a sunrise, or a scenic natural view, but simply enjoy those sights as something beautiful.
Sin is transgression of the law. Where does it say in scripture a man can not desire a Christian virgin? If you’re referring to Matthew 5:28 - Jesus didn’t say “woman” in the original Greek (words of the Holy Spirit). But he said “wife.” Do not desire another man’s wife. That’s the 10th commandment. Do not covet anything belonging to your neighbor - including his wife. God’s prescription for lust = marriage. Lust isn’t sin. It’s how it’s used. If it’s used to fornicate, desire what’s forbidden (married woman), then it’s sin. Marriage bed is un defiled. God will judge fornicators and adulterers. And yes - you can have more than one wife if you meet God’s requirements.
It helps only as long as you can resist, which is not really long. Lust is a hormonal biological drive. If you think you can control this natural function, then I would like you to stop breathing for 10 minutes, which is also a natural function. Let me know how that works out.
@@rvierra7235 The illusion that your choices are not your own. You decide what you do when you do it every time. "hormonal biological drive" while a legitimate reason for doing things cannot be taken as justification for those things. If you wish to be justified you will have to look much further into the reason for your thoughts and actions rather than a blanket "biological drive" without any regard to your own choices or personal reasons to feel that way.
Excellent point on fasting. I learned a long time ago that I actually gained a lot of self mastery after doing a long diet to get to a low body fat percentage. Saying “no” to impulses is powerful, powerful training. Now I look forward to fasting and if I start struggling with impulses I turn to fasting.
no one talks about lust so well. Yet we all need it. Especially in modern times where sexual content is everywhere jumping at us from all sides in media
Would you respect a women who dress like a prostitute though? They're disrespecting themselves when they do that, an it's unfortunate that alot of women dress very horrible now a days, of all ages. I can't go anywhere without seeing that non sense. It's of the devil!
@jacobjames59 Thank you brother. You said in two sentences what this the guy in this video was trying to say with his cutesy, clever, borderline annoying do wa diddy diddy blah blah blah.
St. Thomas Aquinas’ 4 ways to combat lust: Firstly, by fleeing the external occasions such as, for instance, bad company; and in fact whatever may be an occasion for this sin: “Do not gaze not upon a maiden lest her beauty be a stumbling-block to you… Do not look around you in the ways of the city, nor wander up and down in its streets. Turn away your face from a woman dressed up, and do not gaze upon another’s beauty. For many have perished by the beauty of a woman, whereby lust is enkindled as a fire” The second way is by not giving an opening to thoughts which of themselves are the occasion of lustful desires. And this must be done by mortification of the flesh: “I chastise my body, and bring it into subjection” The third way is perseverance in prayer: “Unless the Lord build the house, they labor in vain who build it” [Ps 126:1]. And also: “I knew that I could not otherwise be continent, except God gave it” [Wis 8:21]. Again: “This kind is not cast out save by prayer and fasting” [Mt 17:20]. All this is not unlike to a fight between two persons, one of whom you desire to win, the other to lose. You must sustain the one and withdraw all support from the other. So also between the spirit and the flesh there is a continual combat. Now, if you wish the spirit to win, you must assist it by prayer, and likewise you must resist the flesh by such means as fasting; for by fasting the flesh is weakened. The fourth way is to keep oneself busy with wholesome occupations: “Idleness hath taught much evil” [Sir 23:29]. Again: “This was the iniquity of Sodom your sister, pride, fullness of bread, and abundance, and the idleness of her” [Ez 16:49]. St. Jerome says: “Be always busy in doing something good, so that the devil may find you ever occupied.” Now, study of the Scriptures is the best of all occupations, as St. Jerome tells us: “Love to study the Scriptures and you will not love the vices of the flesh” [Ad Paulin.].
Look away, we need to have the humility to recognize how easy it is for us to fall into sin. Notice, the n look away. “Who thinks he is secure, take heed, lest he fall”
Also, if you have a wife, help her to bloom into that beautiful woman she is. Get her nice clothes, compliment her and let her know how lovely she can be when you go out often.
I just prayed on God to help me understand how to appreciate the sexual desire he put inside me and how to discern it from my lust. I'm glad He is answering me through this video.
people are confused because it seems he is saying you shouldnt guard what u watch and consume, and you definately should!! But I think this advice is for thise situations where we find ourselves unwillingly attracted or aroused by someone, not on purpose! It happens very often actually, because we are bombarded with beautifull bodies everywhere.
I've been inadvertently doing option 3 since my last confession - a distanced and non-lustful appreciation of a woman's shape or beauty (without allowing myself to indulge any sexual fantasies). I have just turned to God and said "wow, God what you have created is truly beautiful, thank you for allowing me the wisdom to appreciate her in this way and not a disordered way". I've been wrestling as to whether I'm in sin or not, so this video helped me with that thank you.
So you confess & not repent? Why did Jesus die on the cross? What happened when the veil was torn? Is there only One mediator? Or is there multiple mediators?
@@tmoneyjam420 What convinced you to think this was a helpful comment? As a fellow Christian I must say we can be so out of touch sometimes on how to interact with others.
@@lohi172, Id agree, i just asked some questions.. Its crazy to me how divided Christians are... There is a genuine concern for another persons eternity and all we can do is be in Our feelings... Thanks for Your opinion.
So let me get this straight as a fellow Christian, You have a bigger issue with me on how i asked my questions, then a concern for the Soul of the person i asked the questions to? The Bible is offensive to those who are perishing.. Id rather be "offensive" then being okay with people believing they have a relationship with Jesus when they really dont. Again, Gods word can be offensive, if it is, You should really examine why that is... Whats become clear to me, is a lot of people claim to be Christians, UNTIL it gets Biblical. My original comment with questions, was to provoke thought.. I deal with "Christians" like You all the time, always in their feelings with no genuine love for their neighbor. Hows Your comment to me helping the person i questioned? It probably makes them think its ok to have a mediator other then Christ Himself, which would suggest His death on the cross was in vein. Which is offensive to me as a true believer, so i will call that out for Jesus & for love of my neighbor. Thats why i made the comment in the first place.
@@tmoneyjam420 Wow man. So I’m a “Christian” who “doesn’t have genuine genuine love” and “in my feelings only?” I see a lot of talk about everyone else’s feelings being out of control. Did you read your comments before posting? You don’t see the irony here? You’re convinced this other guy’s soul is at stake? Man you’re very perceptive and all knowing about the Bible and the state of people’s souls. Must be nice being a “true believer” like yourself. How does it usually work out for you when you talk to people about this stuff? You said you meet “Christians” like that “all the time.” Doesn’t seem to work out very well. Perhaps you make a salvation issue out of everything when it’s not? Perhaps you might not have a handle on everything like you think? Maybe you should be more careful questioning the state of someone’s eternal soul. Who here brought up Jesus’ death being in vein? You did. Humble yourself. Talk to people like they’re people. Good luck out there.
When I see women, attractive or unattractive, I view them as my sisters. God changes my perspective of them almost instantly. Sometimes I encounter guys with aggressive expressions or body language, that would cause me to feel aggressive. God makes them, almost instantly, my brothers in my heart. God also places a protective attitude towards them all in my heart, and that brings peace. Over time, this perspective has become my normal perspective. I still fight against my human nature, but God's Holy Spirit wins every fight in seconds, at the most. I do however, feed my lustful fantasies about my wife! Those become very useful! Thanks be to God! In Jesus' name!
I'd start with keeping good custody of the eyes for a while first and praying for the ladies. Most women in modern society have lost all sense of modesty. And lust is one of the vices the saints recommend we fight by fleeing from it and the near occasions of it, not exposing ourselves to it.
My whole life I've struggled with exactly this, to completely look away or to indulge in lust. Tears started rolling down my eyes as soon as I heard you say "letting Christ untwist my lustful desires into something beautiful ". I couldn't thank God enough for this answer after 18 years of my life searching. God bless you sir
This is a BIGGIE for me. Great message and wonderful way you teach us how to avoid this deadly sin. I try to pray for God’s protection on “her” to not be objectified by me or anyone else. And I pray for her and her husband (if she’s married), that they be ever more joined closer in their marriage. I also offer myself as her protector if she were suddenly in danger or in distress. Just as a brother would protect his sister and her honor. Pray for me a sinner.
Inner thoughts could be, “What a beautiful creation of God. Like me, she is a human being. Like me, she is a person. Like me, she has ambitions, sorrows, family, and a purpose to fulfill. I honor myself and honor her by seeing her the way God sees her. I am to protect her and to protect myself from anything in my heart other than respect for her as a sovereign, intelligent person.” We are sensitive to one another spiritually. It is not appealing as a woman to see lust in a man’s eyes, even if she finds him attractive. It is…ick. But she can admire and appreciate a man who sees her as a person, a daughter of God. A good, strong man gives his burdens to Christ, and bridles (redirects) his feelings and thoughts to align them with God’s.
For men, it gets very hard to stay living righteously when women sexualize themselves everywhere. You can't go to the store, or the gas station, or school... Even church without seeing women wearing revealing attire which by nature is obviously sexual and does nobody any good when we are supposed to be living a holy life... Everywhere anyone looks you will see short shorts, short skirts, cleavage, skin tight jeans, jeggings pressing up against girls vagina's showing everything, anything that makes their butts look "nicer", things that make their boobs look "bigger" or less saggy and whatever else that reveals themselves in a higher sexual light etc. In reality all you see is women who sexualize themselves, online all you see is women sexualizing themselves but even in a worse way. The very basic nature of "makeup" is to make someone more attractive which seems like 99.9% of women wear. This isn't to "blame" women and say everything is their fault, but they sure do add wood to the fire that men are trying to put out in their lives to live for God. Men also don't help the situation because they give the attention to women that they crave making it worse. And because of the strong sexual desire in men, men proudly accept sexualized women so it just keeps continuing unfortunately. I'm sure come judgement day the people who could not control their lust, and the people responsible for creating lust in others will all get shown how wrong they were. I almost think the people creating the lust in others will be held more accountable than the people who lust for these people because they caused the downfall of others not just themselves. Either way... it's all wrong.
I did a prayer once when I was experiencing exactly this kind of lust and had a very clear and solid thought in my head as an answer: -God, what kind of truth do I need to be free of this obsession? -You're created for love, not for ownership. And this was a moment of epiphany for me, when this thought appeared in my mind.
Enlightening! I recently adopted the mantra "Don't Look" as not to fall into temptation. Then first thing this morning, at least two of the most gorgeous ladies I've ever seen! I said my new mantra but it wasn't helping. Then I asked God's help & I found myself thanking God for making beautiful things; perfect things. I remembered living with best friends with gorgeous girl friends & saying "I don't want to disrespect my brother. therefore, she is my beautiful Sister. This video is reinforcement & thank you!
Prayer and fasting! I confess i need to do this work, temptations comes and i Just avoid, but i dont realized as the way you did... Thank you Brother! I 'm making a year after leaving homossexual activities, also bad influences to myself, including people and places... I Will adapt the work you do to myself, as bad memories come into mind sometimes, It can be useful for me. Thank you again, let this be the glory to Christ.
Over the past few months I've surrendered to Christ and am trying to view attractive people as made in the image of God. I failed with thoughts of my past actions again today, but I've been much better this month. Improved after the last few months. I tried to change in my own strength over the years only to fail and repeat the cycle again. My biggest fear is that I won't be able to control myself & end up drifting away from God. I hope God works in my so I become who He intended me to be.
Keep going you got this! I feel as though the Lord was speaking a renewal over your eyes. I pray the scales would fall off your eyes so you may see him and others more clearly :)

This has been very helpful. This was the first video in my yt feed right after God led me through repentance. I know He led me because in my flesh dwells no good thing. Baruch HaShem
Whenever I happen across the sight of a beautiful sunset, scape of sky or land, I would often pray "Lord, how beautiful your creation, how much more beautiful your face?". I never thought I'd hear it from someone else, let alone in the context of resisting lustful temptation in such a helpful way. Hearing that hit me like a brick. Thank you, and God bless you.
This!^ see people outside of your marriage as souls. I don’t think thanking God for the beauty of a woman that isn’t his wife is the right approach here.. or at least that’s not the end goal. Ideally let’s just not have outward appearances of people outside our marriages matter to us.
Thank you for this message. I have been struggling so and I beleive that I was not a coincidence that I found this video. I am greatly encouraged and hope that I can have freedom from my lust.
This is truly inspired. You helped me to finally understand what Jesus taught on the Sermon on the Mount, concerning lusting in your heart. Instead of repressing and just turning away, I need to integrate my lust into real love with God. I am truly blown away right now. Thank you.
Yep! All erotic desire outside of marriage is warped desire of love. I like to repeat Galatians 5:16 sometimes many times to myself before needing to interact with attractive women. It helps! Praise Jesus 🙏🙌
How will you know to marry a person if you don’t have erotic desire for them prior? I think there can lustful erotic desire and pure erotic desire, but I don’t think it is necessarily wrong to have pure erotic desire outside of marriage
This is the best channel when it comes to overcoming lust and pornography because it’s so well thought through, it’s so loving and it’s so recalibrating to the love we were made for. Thanks so much and God bless❤️
@@caramelunicorn8023 Idk, not sure. Are you doing other things that may keep you from receiving Gods answer when you pray? I remember when I was younger, always watching porn and even television and movies that were overly sexual etc etc, praying wasn't going to change anything. That's like smoking all day, drinking every night, and praying that you'll be healthy. I'm not saying that pertains to you, but just throwing it out there as a possibility.
Seeing a lot of mixed opinions from his message but this is what i got: I understood it as surrendering everything to Christ. Will power will fail at some point and that is why he discouraged looking away and pretending like nothing is there. We should surrender those desires to Jesus. Yes we must flee from sexual immorality but we must also surrender it to Jesus. I genuinely believe that prayer and fasting can be beneficial for one. Don’t just think looking away will make your desires go away. I feel like that’s trying to do it on your own without Christ with you. That’s what i got.
Wow this is a whole new way to look at the world❤ In a world where women and men cant keep their clothes on making it difficult for the rest of society to escape lust, this food for thought and this prayer will help. thank you Mr Christopher and thank you holy spirit for working through him.
I try to use the love/care we have for our fellow human beings to overcome the sexual impulses. Imagine youre fistbumping that person instead of anything else. Acknowledge that the person youre looking at is someones wife, daughter, sister, etc. they are your sister in the fellowship. Loved the video. Very well done and well said
In my own experience of going beyond avoiding lust, I have learned that by bouncing my eyes consistently, and moving towards appreciating modesty, when I do see a woman who flaunts their sexuality my heart has begun to see it as unattractive. As I have desired a wife, and those traits that I truly desire in my wife, my heart has begun to see sexual promiscuity as unattractive. It's been a very unique experience, and one that I am grateful for. I find that my heart is no longer stirred (most of the time) when I see a promiscuous woman, because my heart has accepted where that leads and my heart recognizes that is something I do not truly want or truly desire. Ask yourself what you truly want in a woman, and your heart will learn to follow.
Lord, my heart just looks for the beauty, and you are The Beauty. Make me see what you see; give me your eyes to be able to see you in your creation. You know that without you, I cannot do anything. 🙏
Amen to this message. Praise God that He didn't give an appetite just so that we would have to starve it or grit our teeth, but rather that we would be filled by our admiration of God's greater beauty as a hot woman's body ought to lead us to glorify Him.
When that woman is also indecently clothed, I quickly pray for her to learn to respect herself more and that she's not getting into sinful people / behaviour.
Love this guy. Really amazing how TH-cam/internet can be a powerful tool to get closer to Christ and God. Just like the message of this video, there is a pure image of something (the true image) and there is a distorted image of something (the devil’s snares). What a beautiful journey life is!
Very insightful, and I could totally relate to the challenge that we men face...especially in our "bare it all" world. Two additional aids that have helped me over the last decade: 1.) Pray for the needs and intentions of the gal who is a temptation; and 2.) pray a Hail Mary. The latter serves to throw sand in satan's face, and the more sand you throw his way, the less likely he is to send temptation your way.
"Pray for the needs and intentions of the gal who is a temptation." That sounds like a fine idea to me. In a way, I'm actually kind of disappointed in myself for never even having considered doing that before. I guess what is written in Proverbs shows to be true, "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another". Thanks for the idea. 👍
For others struggling, I hope this might also help. Try following Christ's example for weilding the armament of God in the face of temptations like he did in the wilderness. Through the eye holes in helmet of salvation, he stayed focused on his mission. Recognizing the threat to his mission, he raised the shield of faith (which exercises patience). Blocked, preserving his breastplate of rightousness and girdle of truth, he then raised his sword to counterattack by speaking the word of God. He then continued on his mission and added victorious experience to his caligae of his testimony by moving on in his walk.
Absolutely awesome..... thankyou for setting this out for me in such a beautiful Nd respectful way. I have struggled with lust and adultery my whole adult life. I thank God everyday for my now, control over these thoughts which have at times been sooo detrimental to my life and those around me. I no longer struggle with last and this, gives me the perspective to always have control over myself.
I have an unseen eye glass and that is the cross. When I look to the cross, I then see the physical things through it and be in awe of how beautiful they really are. Thank you so much for this insight. 💫

Hey everyone! I just wanted to share some good news with you all. Let's just put it this way, the Ten Commandments are called the Moral Law. Ask yourself this. How many lies have you told? Have you ever stolen anything? Have you ever used God's name in vein? Have you ever hated someone or ever looked with lust? This is for you to judge yourself, but chances are that you are a lying, thieving, blasphemous, fornicating, adulterer at heart and you HAVE to face God on judgement day. Now ask yourself this. If God judges you on judgement day by these Commandments, will you be innocent or guilty? Of course you'll be guilty because we've all done these things. The truth is that none of us are good people and we NEED God's grace to make it to heaven. We judt simply cannot do it on our own. These Commandments arecalled the Moral Law. You and I broke the law, Jesus payed the fine. So now what we must do to be saved is to repent of our sins and trust alone in Jesus Christ!! To repent doesn't mean to just say I'm sorry, but to turn to Jesus and let Him truly be our Lord continually. If He is our Lord, He will lead us away from sin and into righteousness. He said that many will say to Him, Lord, Lord I have done all of these things for you. And He will say I never knew you. Depart from Me, ye who work iniquity! And those will be cast into outer darkness and raging hellfire and loneliness for all of eternity!!! Because we broke His law, He is very, very just to send us to hell. If someone had murdered 4 people and said to the judge, I've done nice things too and have tried to treat people nice but it was just one time, the judge would then say, okay but you're going to jail. And the judge is very just to do that. One last thing, if you were 10,000 feet in the air and you had to jump, you wouldn't jump out and flap your arms and try to save yourself. That's ridiculous! You would put on the parachute. It is the same with Jesus. You must trust Him as you trust the parachute. We are not good and we cannot save ourselves with our own goodness. We must trust alone in Him to save us. In just a moment of time you can pass from death to life. Jesus said, "Truly, truly I say to you, you must be born again." That is how we enter heaven. Through the blood and grace of Jesus Christ!!!!✝️If you ask someone how to enter Heaven, they will most likely say, "Be a good person." Well the Bible says that “none is good, no not one.” We like to compare ourselves to guys like Hitler and say, "Hey, I'm a pretty good guy compared to him." But when we compare ourselves to God's standard, we realize that the Bible speaks truth when it says that we all sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God!!! When we see this (our sin in its true light)we see how much trouble we are in and we say, "Well then there's nothing I can do. I'm going to hell for sure then." It's true that there is nothing that WE can do, but there is something that has already been done for you! God sent His One and Only Son to die on a cross as a sacrifice for our sins! So to recieve that eternal sweet sweet forgiveness, all we must do is repent of our sins (meaning to continually turn from them and confess them) and trust alone in Christ as you trust a parachute. If I was to push you out of an airplane, you'd want the parachute for sure! Don't try to flap your arms and save yourself, trust in the parachute! His finished work on the Cross IS ENOUGH!! He is the only way to Heaven, He said it Himself!! These other religions teach that we must he good and do good things and then maybe if we've been good enough, we will enter Heaven. But if that is true then we are all doomed to eternal hell because none of us are good. That's why this makes sense. Look at the Ten Commandments, they are written on your heart right now!! I promise that you have violated them. And you might still be doing that today. Therefore God is just to poor out His wrath on us because we deserve it!!! But Christ died for us so that we can spend eternity in Heaven with Him! Turn to Him today, and He and only He will save your soul "Verily, verily I say unto you, you must be born again ( to go to Heaven)."✝️The true joy of Christ dwells in me!!! Does it in you? I know where I'm going when I die! Do you? I have an ETERNAL victory! Do you? I have more joy than ever because of what Christ has done. I have been down both roads. The road of the wicked and the road of Christ. Christ is way better and my cup runneth over with true joy and salvation. If you do not know the One true God and are not sure of your salvation, I promise He will never fail you. Turn to Him in repentance and faith. Repent means to confess and forsake your sins, never turning back to them. I tried changing on my own but I couldn't. It took the power of Christ on the inside of me to do it for me. He will give you a new and clean heart with new and clean desires and you shall be born again. A new creation in Christ Jesus!!! Hallelujah!!!! Jesus said in order to enter the Kingdom of God, you must be born again!! Thank you Lord Jesus!✝️

@@mikebingham976thanks man. It’s just sad to see so many women in this age willingly give in to lust blindly like a fool running to the cliffs edge and we all follow along off the edge. I recommend praying the Rosary every morning. Before going to bed, entrust your night, your last thoughts of the night, your dreams, your waking up, your first thoughts of the morning, etc. to the Virgin Mary. Then when you wake up say the Rosary and give yourself to Jesus through her.
@dr.limabeansshometherapy1300 we are not Catholic. We dont believe the religion that the roman Empire made by mixing roman local religion with christianity to put to sleep Christianity. We don't pray to Virgin Mary. We only have one God and we only pray to him. No exception through him. No through Mary, no 'saint'. It's just disciples and just followers of Jesus. We don't serve saints. Don't put saints to people who died for Jesus. Only Jesus suits Saint.
In a way, this is all about being honest with God about your feelings. To admit our feeling exist are the best way to share with The One who knows us best.
Wow this is truly an amazing answer. I just ran across this TH-cam video. I've had this question for so long, but only getting secular answers. I had no idea that the answer was so holy. God bless you. Spousal love and the appreciation of God's beauty in the perspective of God is really helpful.
How? He is false doctrinating the Bible, buy using the Pope to say Jesus was wrong to say we should look away and die to sin daily. In turn he is saying to look at sin and fleshy desire differently and embrace it. That just isn’t truth, and a false practice.
I don’t have to prove anything…I am talking from scripture in the Bible. Jesus is truth, he says so many times…most well known when talking to Pontius Pilot. So if he is Truth and the Word, what he says goes and is without question in his devine wisdom. So when he says “I say to you, if you even so much as look at another person with lustful thinking, you have committed adultury and sinned against God…well then no alternate mindset or prayer is going to change that. Jesus never mentioned words like “resurrecting your body or spiritual understanding” because you cannot resurrect into a new thing until death. He also states your eyes are a doorway to the soul and what they see can harm you, and therefore to turn away from viewing upon evil and temptation. But, leave it to a Pope, let alone the Catholic religion, to alter the word of God, twist it, and say “What Jesus really meant was…” How did this speakers concept work for Samson or King David? And they were two great men of God, and yet they allowed their gaze and lust consume them?! Don’t fall for the false doctrine. There is no gray area in this. We are sinners and captive to our flesh until we die and must guard ourselves always.
The way the Holy Spirit instills some of these same ideas into the minds of those who strive to walk with Christ is strong evidence of His Truth and power

@@ez-g3090 are you talking about yourself or replying to the main comment?

St. Thomas Aquinas’ 4 ways to combat lust:
Firstly, by fleeing the external occasions such as, for instance, bad company; and in fact whatever may be an occasion for this sin: “Do not gaze not upon a maiden lest her beauty be a stumbling-block to you… Do not look around you in the ways of the city, nor wander up and down in its streets. Turn away your face from a woman dressed up, and do not gaze upon another’s beauty. For many have perished by the beauty of a woman, whereby lust is enkindled as a fire”
The second way is by not giving an opening to thoughts which of themselves are the occasion of lustful desires. And this must be done by mortification of the flesh: “I chastise my body, and bring it into subjection”
The third way is perseverance in prayer: “Unless the Lord build the house, they labor in vain who build it” [Ps 126:1].
Go out? Whats that? 😂😂😂 we have 3 young kids with NO babysitting prospects that exist.

Purity is in the mind not in the eyes. Change your mindset and start seeing every women like your sisters
Doesn't the purity of your mind come from the love of God in your heart? Correct me if I'm wrong tho

people are confused because it seems he is saying you shouldnt guard what u watch and consume, and you definately should!!

Id agree, i just asked some questions..
Its crazy to me how divided Christians are...

Amen, Lord Jesus Christ, we love You and we love our neighbours as ourselves.
A good man avoids damaged women.
I did a prayer once when I was experiencing exactly this kind of lust and had a very clear and solid thought in my head as an answer:

So thankful i came across your video. Very encouraging. my long time struggle and vice keeping me from Gods fullness.
"Pray for the needs and intentions of the gal who is a temptation."
That sounds like a fine idea to me.
I thank God everyday for my now, control over these thoughts which have at times been sooo detrimental to my life and those around me. i find that viewing people as souls in need of salvation makes it very difficult to look with lust, and also helps your attitude in general as well
this could be best advice
Thank you. I have never heard anyone in my list of Catholic channels.c talk about lust in this constructive way.👍🏼
Hey everyone!
Is this a catholic channel?
Your hands hitting your table is thundering into the Audio 😊 GREAT CHANNEL!!!
Great reflection, thank you!
This has cleared my mind and heart as I have struggled with this very issue. Thank the lord for giving me this message when I needed it.
We're so glad it blessed you! Please pray for us.
This video is sublime! Thank you so much!!!
Thank you so much for this video . I’ve have been struggling with this for along time . I have been praying everyday to be delivered from this sin . It has troubled me to my core . My prayers have led me to everything you have mentioned. I will try to see women as Gods beautiful creations . I will try fasting to strengthen my self control.
Why don't stop seeing them for what he created them to be and start seeing them what they have let themselves become? They have lost the things men value in them. Society has provided trash as women.
Thank you so much for this content. This sin has caused so much pain and hurt in my life.
Same. Keep the faith. This was great advice to implement in our lives.

You should have stayed single.
I´ve been searching for a word like that for a long time. In the past few days this felling about womens got worse and prayed for God help me finding a answer and then suddenly youtube suggested me this video and it helps me a lot since then. Firstly, sorry for my basic english, secondly, tks for your words Christopher, God bless you. Grettings from Brazil.
I’m currently dealing with memories of my past dealings with this sin. Usually hits worst while I’m sleeping and early morning.
You’re not alone. Repeat the name of Jesus … Mary … “help me”.
Don’t give up !
@@mikebingham976thanks man. It’s just sad to see so many women in this age willingly give in to lust blindly like a fool running to the cliffs edge and we all follow along off the edge. At least I’m aware of it and can address the issue properly now. I just don’t want to force myself to walk around looking down all the time and of course I wish people raised their daughters to have respect to themselves and understand the dangerous visual power the physical body possesses. It’s a responsibility our generation has abandoned. God help all of us with his divine mercy, patience, and understanding.
@BMT115 girls think that revealing their body is good for women's right. How ignorant they are.
My parents taught me and my sister not to wear revealing clothes so that men don't need to do sins in their mind.
Just remember, bro. Jesus is coming back. This is why this generation is so dirty and so corrupted.
Abandon them and get away from them. Only follow and see Jesus
Peace to you
I recommend praying the Rosary every morning.
I’ve seen/heard a lot of preaching on this topic. For me it is truly a new way to approach the biblical text. Thank you!
You are so welcome! Thank you for watching.
In a way, this is all about being honest with God about your feelings. To admit our feeling exist are the best way to share with The One who knows us best.
I have taken it a step, two steps, further and gouged out my eyes.
Amen. Truely blessed by your words 😇
Wow this is truly an amazing answer. I just ran across this TH-cam video. I've had this question for so long, but only getting secular answers. I had no idea that the answer was so holy. God bless you. Spousal love and the appreciation of God's beauty in the perspective of God is really helpful.
This will help us out men, stay focused on God and our wives , stay faithful, in Jesus wonderful name!
How? He is false doctrinating the Bible, buy using the Pope to say Jesus was wrong to say we should look away and die to sin daily. In turn he is saying to look at sin and fleshy desire differently and embrace it. That just isn’t truth, and a false practice.
Wives? Why get a wife? Their nothing but problems. They are the cause of men singing. They bring no real value to men.
@@brucesantos5566 how can you prove your beliefs are right?
But, leave it to a Pope, let alone the Catholic religion, to alter the word of God, twist it, and say “What Jesus really meant was…”
How did this speakers concept work for Samson or King David? And they were two great men of God, and yet they allowed their gaze and lust consume them?! Don’t fall for the false doctrine. There is no gray area in this. We are sinners and captive to our flesh until we die and must guard ourselves always.
The way the Holy Spirit instills some of these same ideas into the minds of those who strive to walk with Christ is strong evidence of His Truth and power
This is sooooo helpful, thank you. I'm a 41 year old single man. I was wild when younger and needed to learn how to live for Christ in all areas of life. The body has been tough lol
at first i was like "maaaan shut up" but im glad i stayed to the end. thank you. may my focus be on Jesus Christ and not of the lust that the demons of this world try to trip me up on
What I found out is that focusing in doing good is more effective than focusing on not doing bad
this may be the best video iv seen on lust. THank you God and I'm watching this while I'm fasting. Praise God
Let’s simplify. The body is the dressing. The soul and spirit are the essence. Learn to see beyond the surface. Compassion for all that you see.
Genius!!! Thank you for this thought, it’s amazing! God bless you and everyone here!!!
@@Catho-Poke02947 My pleasure, blessings and peace to you too!

Thank you.
The Rolling Stones also mentioned this in their song paint it black; “I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes. I have to turn my head until my darkness goes.”
I’ve learned to pray for The girls that walk by in their summer clothes.
I will keep your idea and concept in mind to add to this prayer.
Btw, it’s “Do wah diddy diddy dum diddy DO”
The Stones, in their own curious way, are conservatives.
I think you're trying to avoid the DO
@@colinklang “Do wah diddy diddy dum diddy DON’T”
Or just, “hey, Dummy, Don’t”
I came here to quote the same lyric
I needed to hear this as a man struggling with this
your videos on overcoming lust have been REALLY helpful for me to the point where im actually excited for the next temptation to come so i can put into practice what i've learned and grow my discipline muscles in this area! i just would love if you quoted scripture as much as you do saints (:
This video came right on time, I’ve learned personally trying to repress lust is basically holding on to it harder than you were before. This is one of the best explanations i’ve heard in awhile. God made them beautiful he did. But looking away all together is another thing the modern day church has flipped and it’s came back to bite them. Nobody talks about these topics at all.
Excellent video!! Some helpful insights. Although I'm not too sure about the "Thankyou Lord that I'm attracted to her" part especially if someone already has a spouse. If both parties are single then that's a different case. Let's keep our eyes fixed on the master. Thank you for the video.... God bless 🙏
Short of words, I've never been taught this topic this way.. ❤❤
