I was 16 at the time and the hospital wasn't allowing in minors due to such high cases around my area, he suddenly lost his battle to cancer and I was never able to say my goodbye. But, because of what I had gone through, I work endlessly, now, and dedicate my life to encourage, motivate, and inspire others to embrace their situations. I am working on opening up my lst medical orphanage in Asia(no easy task, but if I could just help one child to not go through what I gone through, I have done yeoman's work). So bro, continue to use your hurt, pain, and sufferings as a catalyst and turn it into positive energy to inspire others. Praying for you and your family, always.

Iam Tongi, you are absolutely blessed to have these precious videos to reflect on. Your American Idol audition so deeply resonated with me (and my entire family), as I too lost my daddy back in 2019. My dad, like yours, was SUCH a music man! Sometimes I think I can still hear him singing along to his fingers strumming the guitar in the next room over. If he wasn't playing the guitar and singing, he was humming or whistling a tune. We couldn't even sing "Happy Birthday" at family birthday get togethers without him harmonizing. 😆 I'm so grateful to have had such a beautiful connection with my father and it's so reassuring to be reminded of that through your voice, your talent, and your story. Thank you for sharing you and your father's gift of music with the world. His legacy lives on through you, my dear.

Lost my Dad after I graduated from Radford High School. I too felt lost and lonely for a long time, until people started asking why I do things the way I do. Realized it was because of my Dad. Watching your Dad harmonize made me remember my Dad singing falsetto on his steel guitar while listening to KCCN. That was over 60 years ago, and I want to thank you for bringing him back to me.
