I'm amazed you found an ikea piece that's made of solid wood. Most things are just pressboard with a layer on it and harder to upcycle. Nice work, btw, the color is very beautiful!
Can't wait to see to which room this piece will end. I was amazed by the colour chosen. Bravo👌👌👌👌😍😍😍😍 I found your channel just yesterday and my man you create magic. Wowwwww
I would love to do this and also don't have outdoor space, but my friends keep telling me not to sand indoors. Do you have any suggestions for sanding safely and cleanly in your apartment?
Nice! I have an Ikea Ingo table that I would like to convert into an office desk. According to Ikea i just need to paint it as it's already treated. Do you think it still needs to be prepped ?
Wow! Amazing project! 😍 I love how the dresser came out. May I ask you what is the (spray) primer (shellack primer?) that ypu used for the nots? Is that a normal primer? A special one? Thanks so much!!! 😃🙏🏻
@@reynardlowell Is this Shellac Spray enough for covering knots? I wanna skip over the next Acrylic Primer you did and then paint it right after Spray. Sadly I found it is hard to cover the knots of Tarva after 2 coats of white paint already. Can I apply Shellac right now or have to go back sanding off all the paint? Thank you.
Just a quick question can I use the same spray primer but liquid as my base primer? I'm trying to give a new color to a few Ikea and Walmart laminated furniture and I accidentally started my project without most of my materials (I rushed to make it happen I need a change of colors desperately)
How did you know that this dresser is a IKEA ? How to find IKEA Products easily in fb markets or any other local markets? Can you suggest some one places to find IKEA second hand products? What all things to consider when we r buying products from these places?
Amazing how you did all the painting in your apartment! You are a very precise, detailed person. Congrats!
Thank You! Gotta make do with what I have 😅

Yeah, most are particleboards, but they do have a few hidden gems that are made of solid wood.

Looks amazing 🙌🏻
loved how this look . BTW where did you get your screw tool
Really beautiful! Did you sand between paint coats? Did you add a final finishing product?
I would love to do this and also don't have outdoor space, but my friends keep telling me not to sand indoors. Do you have any suggestions for sanding safely and cleanly in your apartment?
Great work! Where will you place the dresser and how will you use it?
At the end - how much did this cost you and how does it compare to the west elm dresser
Finally
Where did you get that screw hole guide (at 5.54) from? Bunnings? What is it called?? I need one!!! Thanks for another great local video!
I have that template. It’s actually from ikea.
@@VeganChickInOz Thanks. I worked it out and got one. How did I live without it!
If you were to do it again, would you include soft close drawers and paint the inside?

Thanks so much!!! 😃🙏🏻
Used the Zinsser Bin Shellac Primer - I think they're one of the best for these type of things.
@@reynardlowell thank you so much for your kind response 😃👌🏻

Btw, I found a quarter can type of the same name other than spray, which is cheaper. Guess they are the same.
