Excellent job, subscribed!
Thank you 🥰
New subscriber here, I love how you did this. The screenshots help those of us who want to recreate this. And I’m obsessed with the way you were doodling the plan in the beginning.. I wish my journal looked like that. Also, can I just use a warmer white instead of going back in the end? You should also add the cost without the tools! I think I saw it in one of your shorts but, it would be nice in the video too.
Hi Charlie! Thank you so much for subscribing and I’m glad you liked the journaling at the beginning ☺️ Regarding your question, are you referring to the paint wash? You can adjust the wash with any paint color you want, so if you want the wood to lean more white, add more white paint. LMK if you have any other questions! Happy to answer them 🥰
That looks amazing!! Wow ❤❤❤
Thank you so much 😊
Too good!! I
You’re so sweet! Thank you 🥰🥰🥰
Just wanted to add that I really love your videos. You’re one of my inspirations, so keep being amazing 😘
OK, this is amazing! thank you for coming up with this idea and sharing! I have one question, did you apply the poly urethane to the burlap or just the wood. thanks again for a great diy. I'm subscribing to you as my first TH-cam subscription!
Hi Angela! Thank you so much for subscribing. I feel honored to be your first YT subscription 🥹 The poly urethane was applied to only the wood, not the burlap. I used gorilla spray on glue to attach the burlap. The wooden frame also holds the burlap onto the wardrobe. I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions!
Your 352nd new subcribers
Thank you for your support and welcome to the fam ❤️
Did you sand both dressers? I ❤️ this!
Thank you! Yup, I stained both of them. I’ll admit that I only lightly sanded the 3 drawer dresser since its new and doesn’t have the farmers tan.
好👌🏿
Thank you 🙏🏼
Nice job! Did you fill the brad nail holes? Was there a reason why you didn't connect the units? Any ideas on how you might eliminate the gap on top?
Thank you! I didn’t fill the brad nail holes but you can cover them with wood filler before staining and poly coating. I left the units disconnected for the flexibility to use them as separate units in the future. You can probably use wood edge banding to cover the tops. Hope this helps!
@@Kelly_Tang It does help and thank you for posting-nice work.
@@janetkuhl-urbach639 Thank you so much for your kind words. I appreciate it!
Kelly, beautiful work, what kind of paint brush did you use?
Thank you so much, Paulette!
I just used a polyester paint brush for the polyurethane coat. But in retrospect, I would’ve used a foam brush instead so I can just throw it away. The polyurethane is very difficult to wash out of the paint brush!
@@Kelly_Tang Thank you.
Are the paints that you added for a warmer feel just regular acrylic paints? Or specific for furniture/wood?
They’re just regular acrylic paints.
Oil based polyurethane will turn yellow over time. Water based will not yellow.
That’s great to know! I’ll keep that in mind next time I shop for polyurethane. Do you know how long it takes for the oil based poly to turn yellow?
A few months. I painted an Ikea unit off white to match my walls. I used the oil based polyurethane and now I have a yellow unit. I'm going to redo it as it looks like crap. LOL. Maybe it won't be as obvious on your project, but it was real obvious on my white paint. @@Kelly_Tang
I’m hoping that since the wood is warm toned, the potential yellowing would look less obvious. Thanks for the info!

But, the dresser is gorgeous!
