My son, 8, started playing this game a couple months ago on XBox. I decided to give it a shot and play with him (which he is excited about) but I had absolutely NO idea what I was doing. This series is helping me to at least figure that out and catch up to him. Thanks for taking the time to make them!
That's awesome! Terraria is a great game to play with kids - I play all the time with my kids who are 6 and 8. Both beat the game on Classic a few weeks ago and were itching to move on to Expert difficulty! Good times!!

As someone who bought Terraria a couple of months back and abandoned it because I couldn't find the way to progress (Like, literally progress, I'm stuck with a cactus armor and finding shelter inside of caves where those stupid long worms appear out of thin air). This just made me want to create a new world and start exploring it more!

I have 300+ hours in Terraria and have been playing since 2012 I’ve gotten close to beating Moon Lord but still have never actually ginished this game and this entire series is such a good refresher because of the scale of this game there are still so many things I didn’t know even basic shit like Pylons, I had no idea Pylons were even a thing. My girlfriend wants to get into it with me and we tried playing it together and I couldn’t teach her. I’m going to make her watch this series. But even as someone who has played this game for many hours, this series was such a good guide. It may be called a beginners guide but man even if you’re not a beginner just watch it (Unless you’re a complete Terraria nerd) Brother keep up the good content, love the vids ❤️

This is a good guide. It's clear, concise, and covers a lot. I have a feeling this would be very helpful for beginners. Even as an experienced player I still didn't find out about frost burn arrows until much later. There's so much to explore and find out in Terraria and it's what makes it such a great game. Hahah - don't worry if you're in a large world. It'll just take longer to get anywhere, but there will be plenty of places to explore and whatnot. I really don't like small worlds though. Just way too small!
@@hocus2591 The issue is more land too. If you’re planning on containing the evil biomes, having a large world, solo would be very hard. Additionally, it takes forever to traverse from shore to shore. Throughout pre hard mode you’re not going to have any easy means to quickly travel so having a large world make it difficult

One of the most useful tutorials, I have seen countless other tutorials where they directly jump to boss fights or gears which I really didn't understand the purpose of, you explained in more detail which I really appreciated and am hoping to stick to your channel for more content.
This was such a helpful series! I finally started playing Terraria recently (my kids played it years ago) and I just kept thinking "I don't get it. What am I even supposed to be doing here?" I've had so much more fun with the game since watching your series. I watched a few other videos before I found yours, and none of them improved the gameplay experience like yours did. Good stuff!

Nice! The game can be a bit overwhelming at first, especially if you're going in totally blind to what all it has to offer. But once you get past the initial learning curve it really is a ton of fun! And yes - I am still adding to the guide series, and will also be starting a play though soon. I'll be going back and forth between Terraria and Don't Starve though, so there might be gaps of a month or so between videos at times.

Totally hear you there! The challenge though is that I've got two pretty young kids that are quite demanding of my "free" time. At some point I will start covering other games, but I want to make sure I've got enough good solid core content first...or just get absolutely hooked on something else. 😉 Hopefully as I get more skilled at making the videos I can get a twice-a-week production routine going - it's definitely something I'm going to be working towards!

@@salendrak after a 4 hour grind with a character from 2 noobie worlds I crushed it. Now im almost ready for the eye boss. My luck was great when I started the new world. The first enemy i killed had the bladed gloves dropped and finally bought the mining hat and the rest is history. You helped greatly and got me out of the just house building routine. Thank you.

This is a daunting journey starting to play Terraria for the first time. I remember learning Minecraft was a CHORE! And whenever i saw terraria vids I was blown away by even the simplest of things (cloud in a bottle was one). So time to dive down the rabbit hole again. Wish me luck!
This guide is amazing! As a person who doesnt know anything about it, it gives a good overview, a direction and so good support in understanding of what you explain
Click the hammer icon thingy on the left side of your screen when standing next to a crafting station, and then you can see everything you can craft with the available ingredients, which includes everything in your inventory (not equipped) and anything in an open chest, assuming you are close enough to the station you're trying to use. That's pretty much it in a nutshell!

You can do it! It definitely has a bit of a learning curve, not so much because anything is particularly hard, but rather because there are SOOOO many things to learn about!
I played terraria since the very launch, read pretty much every wiki article, every weapon, accesories.. so there is no really need for this tutorial for me. However, my sister, who never played terraria, was really overwhelmed, especially in hardmode, by amount of stuff you do and the not so liniar progression. Thanks for this guide, it made it much easier for me to explain basic stuff to her :)
I played Terraria 5 years ago and I was pretty good, I had defeated some of the hardest bosses and had some of the rarest and best items. Finally came back 5 years later and am starting over on a new device. I’ve forgot a lot of things over the years and these tutorials really helped me out.

Nice! The game can be a bit overwhelming at first, especially if you're going in totally blind to what all it has to offer. But once you get past the initial learning curve it really is a ton of fun!
And yes - I am still adding to the guide series, and will also be starting a play though soon. I'll be going back and forth between Terraria and Don't Starve though, so there might be gaps of a month or so between videos at times.

Looking at your channel i think you could see some very large growth if you uploaded more often and picked more recent game releases you have good production and clear and precise guides.
Totally hear you there! The challenge though is that I've got two pretty young kids that are quite demanding of my "free" time. At some point I will start covering other games, but I want to make sure I've got enough good solid core content first...or just get absolutely hooked on something else. 😉
Hopefully as I get more skilled at making the videos I can get a twice-a-week production routine going - it's definitely something I'm going to be working towards!

Yay!! You would be surprised at how many people quit before even getting to hardmode. I suspect that is largely due to the fact that they have NO idea what's in store for them later on in the game!
Thanks for this series! I’ve been playing Terraria for almost 10 years, but only on and off, and never got very far. I always felt I was never ready to face the jungle. Maybe I’ll finally do it this time :P and then more!
You should totally do it!! As with many things in games, it's only scary the first time. But once you get the hang of it, it's not only much easier, but also a lot of fun!!
I've been playing terraria on and off for years. For at least five. But I never actually, well, played it. I've been looking into learning more and actually playing the way it's meant to be played, and this first video was already extremely helpful. I'll definitely be binging the entire series.

@@salendrak after a 4 hour grind with a character from 2 noobie worlds I crushed it. Now im almost ready for the eye boss. My luck was great when I started the new world. The first enemy i killed had the bladed gloves dropped and finally bought the mining hat and the rest is history.
You helped greatly and got me out of the just house building routine. Thank you.

Im here cause i just bought the game, i managed to build 2 houses, then i crafted an evil eye accidentally, i clicked on it accidentally during night and a boss summoned, now my bird from my head nest is dead. Tell me i can have my pal back, I miss him dearly.
Yup - hopefully you still have your finch staff? Equip it and use it like a weapon, and it will re-summon the bird!

This is a daunting journey starting to play Terraria for the first time. I remember learning Minecraft was a CHORE! And whenever i saw terraria vids I was blown away by even the simplest of things (cloud in a bottle was one). So time to dive down the rabbit hole again. Wish me luck!

Why lead is so rare for me and tungstens are much often to find
It's just RNG, really. I've had some worlds where I seem to find more of one ore versus another, but it's just random luck!

I literally don’t even know how to use the crafting table
Click the hammer icon thingy on the left side of your screen when standing next to a crafting station, and then you can see everything you can craft with the available ingredients, which includes everything in your inventory (not equipped) and anything in an open chest, assuming you are close enough to the station you're trying to use. That's pretty much it in a nutshell!

You can do it! It definitely has a bit of a learning curve, not so much because anything is particularly hard, but rather because there are SOOOO many things to learn about!
I played terraria since the very launch, read pretty much every wiki article, every weapon, accesories.. so there is no really need for this tutorial for me. However, my sister, who never played terraria, was really overwhelmed, especially in hardmode, by amount of stuff you do and the not so liniar progression. Thanks for this guide, it made it much easier for me to explain basic stuff to her :)

I played Terraria 5 years ago and I was pretty good, I had defeated some of the hardest bosses and had some of the rarest and best items. Finally came back 5 years later and am starting over on a new device. I’ve forgot a lot of things over the years and these tutorials really helped me out.
Not to mention they've added a TON of new stuff compared to 5 years ago! It's kind of like playing a whole new game I bet!!
