My experience with the Titan is similar to yours with the Omega. A couple things about the Titan, though: 1. There is an integrated lumbar support, but it's very hard, so it also can hurt after a while. 2. The foam overall is very hard, but I still can somehow feel the elastic stripe under it. 3. My legs also got numb after a while, even after raising them with a foot rest.
@@andrebrait 💯agree with that. The worst part it is that they don’t even recognize this issue and have pretended like it doesn’t exist for years sadly.
@@SoulOfTech I think it's something they could so easily fix by just putting a thin layer of memory foam on top of the hard foam. Just a thin layer. Nothing that would ruin the ergonomics (not that this is the strong suit of this chair anyway) but would make it so much comfortable. I also wish they didn't have such an aggressive curve at the too of the chair. The titan is supposedly good for people taller than I am, but my head already comes so close to that forward-inclined top that I can't use the headrest pillow. My head always touches that tip thing.
i agree with you that youtube is filled with sponsored reviews so i am looking for non-sponsored reviews. but your seat cushion is completely transforming the seating experience, not only from the cutting of circulation from the edge, but also from the original material that is firmer and puts more pressure on tailbone, spine and pinches nerves as some complained about. at that point.
I still appreciate it. I just ordered one of these too fast without doing a lot of research so It's good to know what to do if I have problems, as I'm not likely going to take the chair apart and reship it or buy a more expensive chair if its not perfect.
I got sciatica after using this chair straight for two years. Definitely get a cushion for the back of seat for your legs. I use a swimming noodle for lumbar. The cushion that it comes with for the lower back is basically useless.
hey good review(true review), one question, where did you get the seat cushion? i know that maybe any cushion is fine but for safety i wouldn't go wrong xD thanks
Hi thanks for watching, I got the one below: www.amazon.ca/OVEYNERSIN-Natural-Comfort-Seat-Cushion/dp/B07SZ7VSZN/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?crid=2L38LIBZY4C4G&dchild=1&keywords=seat+cushion&qid=1632098436&sprefix=Seat+%2Caps%2C196&sr=8-2-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzTllaNTBEOTFTSTZMJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMDMzNjUzM00xQzNIUTlNOUxXTiZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwODc5Mzk1MjlSQ0RXNEUxQjZTWiZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=
Hi I believe you are referring to the base adjustment. This issue is more so with the design of the base cushion it self, sadly you cannot adjust that. Thanks for watching!
I have a SecretLab Titan chair in the leather configuration. I’m really happy with it, one of the main reasons I got that over omega due to the lumbar adjustment. So far I’ve been really happy with it. Definitely took some breaking in but since then it’s really comfortable.
I think the Omega would be too tight for his height/weight. You may want to consider the Titan instead to ensure he has a comforatable amount of space at the base.
Lol, why even buy a new chair in the first place if you need to put a seat cushion on it to make it usable? This changes the whole composition of the chair, as you see, the seat cushion doesn't fill up the whole chair. So when you're sitting down, it wont feel like one flat surface, but instead the drop off of the seat cushion, then the edge of chair. (This would bother the chit out of me, like your legs are literally floating of the edge of the seat because how high the cushion is @8:30 ......) The seat cushion will also prop you higher in the chair, making the arm rests lower, and the range of adjustment is gone after that. For example if you're already maxed out on the arm bars, another 2in from the cushion, means you cant raise the arm bars any higher to compensate for that extra lift that wasn't originally accounted for. IMO, if you have to rig a NEW chair to make it work... you probably should look somewhere else.
I highly doubt people think about the height change when adding a cushion. Not to mention you're now not using 50% of the chair you paid for... at that rate why not buy any pos chair, and toss a cushion on it, call it a day.
You sir... are welcome and deserving! Subscribe button pushed. Keep up the good (and honest) reviews. I know the past 2 years have been tough but know everything will be ok and God loves you

Thanks for sharing your experience! Do try the seat cushion it helped a lot with the leg numbing.
@@SoulOfTech for such an expensive chair, I don't think I should need seat cushions :-)

What was the seat cushion you used at the bottom to even it out? Looks comfortable

@@SoulOfTech Awesome! Thanks for reply dude
Thank you so much for the idea of the seat cushion, made a world of a difference in the pressure on the back of my thighs near my knee
Glad it helped you as well!

i dont make comments but thank you so much but bro that seat cushion tip saved me a nightmare i was going to return it back THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
Glad I could help, I had the same issue prior.
There's a way to adjust the angle of the seat so it's not so inclined. Otherwise, great review.

No BS reviews 👍🏼
Is the seat base incline not adjustable?

well thats like perfect timing, i just searched for this and this video is like brand new lol

refreshing to hear honest reviews!
Glad you like it!
l am looking for something for work to sit in 7-8 hrs a day. Do you find this chair comfortable for that long of a duration?
I use it currently for up to 14 hours in a single day, while I still naturally feel fatigue I rarely get back aches anymore. It’s pretty good
inwards are for the controller players so they can rest their arms inwards. Great review! think i'll go for the Omega!
Glad you liked it!
