@@Intellectual_Paradigm-Jedi she doesn't need avatar state, she merely used it for convinience that's all, like toph was also performing similar ap feats
Yep, Aang's fight with Firelord Ozai, when he enters into the Avatar State is the most impressive feat of bending we've ever seen. He compresses giant boulders into a rocks, and more impressively compresses millions of gallons of water, into a small ring surrounding him. That's insane, the Avatar can compress matter.
Seth, you missed a super duper important detail with regards to scaling Aang, one that not many people seem to notice. In his final battle with Firelord Ozai, when Aang is entering the avatar state, he gathers a large amount of the elements around himself. A howling cyclone for air, searing flames for fire, and large whirling stones for earth. Most importantly, he gathers a large amount of water from a nearby ocean and condenses it into a ring around his form. Okay, I'm gonna say that again. He CONDENSES water from a nearby ocean into a RING that can orbit around him. Now, I dunno if I'm just crazy, but I'm pretty sure the amount of energy required to compress such a large volume of what we humans know to be basically INCOMPRESSIBLE is ASTRONOMICAL, and completely ridiculous to think about. He isn't just bending a large volume of water here. He's bending each and every individual molecule of water, and pressing them all close together. In the scene, he is fighting off the immense amount of force being exerted back by the molecules as they attempt to go further apart. That is ABSURD. I'm really surprised you didn't bring it up.
It’s not clear at all if he really condensed them, it’s kind of a big assumption. Even if he did, it’s not an incomprehensible feat. We actually compress liquids for practical purposes today, it’s called supercritical fluid. They subject things to extreme temperatures and pressure and can condense things due to the loss of surface tension.
It's all Head canon right now but based off the feat you just mentioned wouldn't that mean that after reaching a certain level of Bloodbending Mastery, he could condense somebody's blood???
you realize thats really not that major of a feat right? Like you did all this explaining just to say he shrunk a few water molecules lol and all it took was a simple google search to see that water IS compressible.. ever heard of a waterjet cutter??
Waterjets aren't condensed water, they are pressurized water. The difference is key. At room temperature, there is literally nothing we could do to compress water while keeping it as water.
I would definitely like to see you do some Avatar vs matches. I think the metaphysical part of this video is important, there are many characters who are "multi dimensional" but not to the possible level of the avatar. Keep up the good work.
Goku can beat Aang based on the feats , but there are still things that are not clear from both sides.Aang is still very powerful and yes possibly island - low country -(max) low continent level.
I like how you touched on the concept of the universal self and how the avatar at peak could potentially be nearly limitless, because one thing in eastern philosophy is that gods are all just the universal power of brahman or shakti given more and more specific functions and forms. So if the avatar is directly tied to the concept of balance then they could in theory have limitless power only contained by what they need to do in order to maintain balance
One of the most impressive feats in atla was when roku and the fire lord tried to stop the volcanic eruption And the fire lord pulled out bending of thermal energy
Not sure. I know momo is able to counter a getsuga-tensho from vasto lordes Ichicgo with absolutely no difficulty, but appa hasnt unlocked his bankai yet

@@shmoneysosa That logic makes no sense because it would be one thing to just predict the trajectory. It is another to actually able to catch lightning. Just like how we can try to predict a gunshot but we aren't fast enough to catch the bullet. Aang on the other hand was fast enough to catch lightning when it was already shot without actually seeing from what direction it was shot from. It happened literally in his final fight with Ozai where Ozai shot the lightning and Aang within a short time frame rolled and then was able to turn around fast enough to catch the lightning mid flight.

Nah I dont need the Narutards and all the other people affecting this channel. Now well I do think it would be cool for him to do that we need to think ahead for the future and not the present
Honestly though, it makes sense that the Avatar would be as strong as they considering what they are supposed to represent in the series. They are literally the antithesis of chaos, the ultimate balance to universe. That's probably why we never see insane universal feats. It would literally go against what they are, Order and balance
I think the thing to remember is that an Avatar can bend all four elements. Obviously but hear me out. This grant's them amazing versitility. However, it also grants them even more access to all the bending sub-sects. Avatar Aang was limited by his time but by the time of Legend of Korra the world had evolved. This means of course bending evolved. Firebenders could learn lightning bending, earthbenders could learn metalbending(some could learn lavabending), waterbending bloodbenders became more common etc... This also means an Avatar likely has access to all these abilities as well. Not to mention other "forgotten" arts like energy bending and ...whatever Korra did in Book 2. (i'ma call it cosmic bigness). So essentially they can manipulate the physical and spiritual world in correlation with their knowledge. If you get a really clever Avatar one day they might be literal reality warpers...maybe
See people don't understand how OP the concept and feats from Avatar/LOK are. Avatar Korra can literally turn a mf's spirit into light with waterbending...
Korra is decent. If it wasn't the sequel to ATLA and it's own show or a spin off it wouldn't have to live up to it's standards. Spirit bending makes sense but Amon stealing bending is just wack
1:15 Before it gets mentioned, later, 'maybe he can destroy a small building' Let's not forget Kyoshi moved islands. That's no joke in terms of power required. Sure he's not Goku who could sneeze the planet into space dust. He was also just a kid in the show and was still a serious threat compared to other benders.
Gwenpool everyone claims to know but no one has any actual proof. All we have to go off of is some vague statements from the show creators about problems with the network but it really just seemed like the creators making excuses and the real reason it wasn’t as good is because they lost their main writer from ATLA, Aaron Ehasz. The creators Mike and Bryan had great ideas and concepts but just like George Lucas they are idea guys and not good writers, so they really needed Aaron to bring their ideas to life in the best way

dude! I stumbled upon some of your videos and liked them but never subed because.. dunno BUT MAN OH MAN! you started the video with the best music ever (contextually speaking) so yeah, that's it! get your sub man, you deserved it! now I'm gonna watch the rest of the video :p edit : I'm editing this because I see a lot of people talk about the "compressed water feat" To enlighten people about that, you have to knwo that water is the only known liquid (exept few really weird ones maybe? but even though I don't think so) that has a solid form that is less dense What does that mean? it means that when you apply pressure (or toy with temperature but we are on the topic of pressure and forces) on a matter, it changes it states accordingly in order to take more or less space. But in the case of water, the rule is null! When pressruing it, instead of being solid, it becomes liquid! A fun experiment is to make a steel wire with weights literaly pass through an ice block : because of the local pressure on the ice, the wire will melt ice (yes, even under 0°C room if the weights are heavy enough) and the wire will slowly go through it with the water solidifying on top. So! "compressing" water is not really possible as stated by numerous but it will never become ice whatsoever. Now! The important thing, as pointed out by many is the sheer quantity of water that is "compressed" in such a somewhat small space (everything is relative)... well! I could rumage through my old books and stuff to fid the formula to do some calculations (they would be somewhat aproximative as it was not my major during studies and I don't have all the knowledge to have every ounce of science needed for that) but I'm way too lazy.. Just know one thing : in universe, the gravitational force (you know, gravity, all that stuff) is by FAR the weakest of all forms of energy. Like REALLY REALLY far. Having forces directly moving atoms closer from each other is a feat that is so stupidly insane that if someone did the math and brought a number of the likes "yeah, in terms of energy, this alone could wipe out a good chunk of the whole universe" and I would not doubt it. Think about it : nuclear bombs are what happens when you break atoms... in a quantity sufficient that you can put it in a bomb. Let that sink in. Matter that you can put in those "tiny" bombs detonates and it results in those big booms? Know, imagine what kind of stupid force it would take to "compress" this HUGE quantity of matter. Thank you for comming to my Ted talk
I am from those religious background.. and what he really means is that.. Aang is what everyone calls the God... NOT "A" GOD I MEAN THE GOD.. like the one The watcher on marvel universe "what if?" who he promises his oath to.. to be honest i still am not satisfied with description.. @@thenexus7343 I agree. The Avatar is god-level in their respective Universe so it would definitely make sense. The Justice League right now has no one like the Avatar in its roster and is currently struggling to push out any convincing stories for its current characters except Batman so I actually think the Avatar would be an amazing upgrade!
@@Intellectual_Paradigm-Jedi, I disagree. The Avatar's power level depends on the story arc. All characters in the Avatar series, whether they were allies or villains, all have pretty much said that the Avatar's potential power ability is limitless. The point of the Avatar is to see how the character grows into their role and grows in their respective power levels. Korra battled cosmic-level beings and her power level skyrocketed based on her decision to mature. The Avatar easily swats away battle navies and nukes when they are in their element and so that puts them in the league of some of the upper-level DC powerhouses. Only, the current Avatar plotlines don't really allow for the Avatar to use devastating force or explore the real upper-cosmic levels of the Avatar. DC heroes, also, focus too much on extraterrestrial development and astrophysics. No one in DC can erupt volcanoes for bants, or has complete mastery over the elements. Even in Marvel, one of the Hulk's biggest strength feats is him rocking the Eastern Seaboard with a footstep, and the Avatar has done similar things with greater ease. The Avatar's control of the waters would easily put him at an equal status to Aquaman. The Avatar's control over lightning makes him a devastating enemy to Shazam and Black Adam, and his ability to astral project means he could likely meditate in and out of the speed-force at will, making the Flash a worthy contender. His control over Fire makes him Martian Manhunter's nightmare, etc. Energy bending is also OP in the DC Universe where the Avatar can take and give away powers at his will. The Avatar's martial arts skills easily put him at levels of Batman and WW, so he'd be one of the best hand-to-hand fighters in the DC Universe. There are so many things and potential stories you could explore with the Avatar in the DC Universe that you can't really do currently that I would defo say he has potential to be in their league.

Yep, Aang's fight with Firelord Ozai, when he enters into the Avatar State is the most impressive feat of bending we've ever seen. Objective facts? Yes.

No, not on this Channel.
69 likes, make a wish!
@@BesoRati That sounds totally nuts, but if what I've said is true, I'd believe he could do that 100%
you realize thats really not that major of a feat right? Like you did all this explaining just to say he shrunk a few water molecules lol and all it took was a simple google search to see that water IS compressible.. ever heard of a waterjet cutter??
Waterjets aren't condensed water, they are pressurized water. The difference is key. At room temperature, there is literally nothing we could do to compress water while keeping it as water.

So essentially they can manipulate the physical and spiritual world in correlation with their knowledge.

edit : I'm editing this because I see a lot of people talk about the "compressed water feat"
To enlighten people about that, you have to knwo that water is the only known liquid (exept few really weird ones maybe? but even though I don't think so) that has a solid form that is less dense
What does that mean? it means that when you apply pressure (or toy with temperature but we are on the topic of pressure and forces) on a matter, it changes it states accordingly in order to take more or less space.
