King Koopa reading negative fan mail sounds hilarious, with clever writing I think they could have used it to their advantage, like a version of Bird Up, a show no one likes but they keep doing it, I can easily see King Koopa reading mail and responding with "you don't like the show? You think it stinks? Well... Do YOU have a show? No? Then shut up!"
There was an Easter egg in Metroid Prime 3 where scanning a certain terminal brought text that said "Metroid project Dread is nearing the final stages of completion". I think this also fueled a lot of the discussion and rumors about the game at the time, and since Prime 3 came out in 2007 they could have been working on early versions of Dread behind the scenes
I feel like the "creeptubers" might deliberately sync their uploads :D It has happened before too (nexpo, jorge, scaretheater, croelwy, barelysociable etc.)
Kirby's Air Ride is very different from what actually became Air Ride; Masahiro Sakurai himself actually mentioned that his involvement with the original project was a lot lesser (it was probably being developed by the team that did the more "gimmicky" Kirby games), while the GC Air Ride was directed by Sakurai himself.
I’am so happy that Metroid dread finally saw the light of day this time release on a home console and finally bringing back the Metroid franchise from the dead once again. :)
I remember watching the King Koopa show as a kid in L.A. There was nothing special about it. Like you said, they only showed old cartoons and repeats of the Super Mario cartoons that had been replayed to death by then. The only reason this show is still imprinted into my brain is because of that frightening King Koopa costume.
Some of the stuff mentioned in Shitamachi Ninjo Gekijo almost sound like those Mario parody animations you’d find on Newgrounds and early TH-cam (Maybe even Robot Chicken)
King Koopa's Kool Kartoons aired in El Paso, TX too. The cable system in El Paso had two local channels from Los Angeles, KTLA and KTTV (which aired the Koopa show). This show was very weird. I NEVER missed an episode, either! I still remember the episode where King Koopa's kept hyping up Alvin (from Alvin and the Chipmunks) was going to be on the show. The show went on as usual, with Koopa constantly hyping up Alvin. Finally, at the very end of the episode, Koopa says Alvin won't be able to make it. He insinuates that he ATE Alvin! The credits roll as the camera focuses on Alvin's red hat on a table, with the kids cheering wildly. This creeped me the FRICK out as a kid! I really regret not recording this show back then. I've really been wanting to watch it again.
I lived in the OC/IE during the 80s and 90s, and I remember watching the Koopa show, at least once. I seem to recall enjoying the intro, or at least a building anticipation, but being ultimately confused and disappointed that the kartoons had nothing to do with the Mushroom Kingdom 😕
My bro and I would watch "Super Mario Brothers Super Show" like lil' fanatics and grub on Super Mario Bros./Zelda (two bags in one box) back in the day. Those are some of my fondest memories of childhood truthfully
kirby has it ROUGH with some games bowl 64 and the n64 air ride are big ones, but the two i desperately want to know more about are kirby's tilt 'n' tumble 2 and the kirby sidescroller for gamecube we actually got some new footage of the latter around the time forgotten land came out and has me hoping we uncover more!
Hi Jorge. Long time fan of yours here and it’s great seeing another video from you. Whether it’s dark moments from our childhood, mini documentaries, or lost media, all your videos are incredibly well researched, thoughtful and entertaining. Really enjoyed this list. I actually knew about the King Koopa show through Super Mario Wiki, and I gotta say, that King Koopa costume was probably he main reason why it was hated and forgotten. Bowser was NEVER meant to be like that. Kirby’s Air Ride and The Pokémon Sailsboat were interesting, in that they were greatly publicized and had a lot of detailed information, yet sadly ended up getting lost anyway. The Mario Magazine satellite was definitely the the most disturbing. I seriously can’t help but wonder how this got pass the heads at Nintendo. Still pretty interesting and may look into it. As usual, It was nice hearing from you again. Hope to see more content from you and have a good night.
Possible footage of king koopa show: Although it isn’t much and probably common info, I used when I was young my father bought me the super Mario show, and I would watch it on a daily basis( we had no cable or anything of the sort so I was forced to watch the same movies/shows) over and over but this where my memory is a tiny bit off I don’t remember if it was in the sequence before you got to the area where you can choose how to watch the show(play, episodes or extras) The ads/programs(don’t pirate film thing a majig)was an ad for the king koopa show, or either in the extras, as I said I don’t remember much as I shoved most of my child hood memories as far down as possible, all I can I do remember seeing a ad/preview about the show
I heard that in the ending of one episode, King Koopa threw sweets for the kids in the show to get but the one kid (The son of the person who played King Koopa) couldn't get any due to the fact that there was lots of kids trying to get sweets. Because of that, King Koopa tried to get the kids away from the sweets so his son could have some. I heard it from another youtuber by the way
I buy storages and found a VHS of the Roy Orbison music video for “I drove all night” from the white knuckle scorin tribute album. The best part is that you can see the Nintendo stuff in the video on youtube such as princess brakes, the album name on a wall and even the super Mario bros plumbing van!
nintendo lost media is a fascination for me because theres probably alot more things we don’t know about that are just hidden away somewhere, waiting to be revealed
Big proof of that was the Giga Leak, i’m low key hoping for another one day or that Nintendo just provide the info themselves to the public I absolutely love seeing what is left on the cutting room floor as well as what could’ve been
Thanks for the video Jorge! Really love your stuff and dedication you put into your videos. If you need a video idea, why not a follow up to some mysteries you've covered in the past, lost media and otherwise, or horror movie lost media that were lost for suspicious reasons.
As an additional tidbit, a film reel of the OG 1986 Mario movie has been found a while ago and was then rescanned in 4k for the world to see. It was previously only available in VHS. If you thought Ninty doesn't (usually) want to acknowledge the trilogy of DiC cartoons, the sudden abandonment of that movie is on another level (the Super Show and its sequels at least got multiple DVD releases), so it's great that it's now preserved in the best way possible.
Might as well say that I don't think Nintendo owns the rights to the Super Show (at least in terms of distribution) so it probably isn't them acknowledging it (although the theme of the Super Show is in the Mario Movie so they did acknowledge it in some way) Edit:According to the MarioWiki Paramount and NCircle are the ones currently distributing the show
Kirby Bowl 64 may have evolved into Kirby's Dream Buffet, the Nintendo Switch eShop exclusive. Both games involve a spherical Kirby in a 3D space, and feature a competitive multiplayer mode with 4 players based around knocking people off of the course. However, development shifts changed the overall game from a golf title to a racing game.
Actually, the Obsessive Gamer has just released an hour long video on a lot of stuff he discovered from the Giga Leak regarding Zelda Gaiden as well as comparing it to the retail release of Majora’s Mask, and there’s quite a bit that dude has seemingly uncovered that we were previously unaware of or unsure about before.
It’s always great to see Jorge Upload again and this time with Nintendo Lost Media! I really like the stories of Games being turned into other Games overtime (Kirby Bowl and Metroid Dread) Since it’s actually found media, just repurposed into something much better. Also man I would KILL for footage inside that Pokémon ship, it looks super fun!!
When I was young, I remember watching the super Mario super show, and one time, my dad decided to watch it with me and I remember him being bummed out about the Koopa king part being gone. He said that that part was his favorite as a kid.
I had some crazy memories start flooding back to me when I saw King Koopa there, I've definitely seen at least one episode of that. In particular I remember King Koopa threatening a child in the audience or something? I can't quite remember why, part of me wants to say the child wasn't laughing enough. Like it was in an over the top, jokey way but it was weird enough to have burned itself into my memory. It must have been a VHS because I live in ireland and don't think it was ever broadcast here.
At least here in Southern California in the early 90's, all of the Mario cartoons came on at like 5 A.M.-6 A.M. I don't know about other places, but that could be a big reason we don't have lots of people with recorded VHS copies of the King Koopa stuff. Same with the Mega Man cartoons here in California, came on at the crack of dawn.
That seems to be a common problem with the weekday cartoon (and the weekend cartoon to some extent). Timing would be bad outside of "prime" hours and stations care the most about newscasts barring sports and, again, primetime. The heavy focus on news would work against Fox Kids.
I’m from the uk, specifically England and I can say that I remember the king koopa show being aired on a kids channel called “pop” occasionally just before or after the super Mario bros cartoons

❤
There was an Easter egg in Metroid Prime 3 where scanning a certain terminal brought text that said "Metroid project Dread is nearing the final stages of completion". I think this also fueled a lot of the discussion and rumors about the game at the time, and since Prime 3 came out in 2007 they could have been working on early versions of Dread behind the scenes
Nick Crowley and BlamitonJorge on the same day! This is gonna be a good day! Thank you for making everyones days better.
imagine if when you're getting ready to sleep, Nexpo posts a video. That would be like a solar eclipse with 3 moons.
I feel like the "creeptubers" might deliberately sync their uploads :D It has happened before too (nexpo, jorge, scaretheater, croelwy, barelysociable etc.)
Thanks for letting me know about a new nick Crowley video too! What a great bonus!!!
*Disturban has entered the chat*
I’ve been trying to find something to watch on TH-cam all day, thank you Jorge😎
I was just rewatching some of your older videos when this got uploaded. God, I will never get enough of you covering lost media.
Satellaview was such a cool peripheral. So much content from it was lost too ;~;
Still one of the best channels on TH-cam, especially for lost media
Some of the stuff mentioned in Shitamachi Ninjo Gekijo almost sound like those Mario parody animations you’d find on Newgrounds and early TH-cam (Maybe even Robot Chicken)
Yeah it does have that parody vibe
The lost media man has returned to make new content 👑
It's always good to see an upload from you every now and then. Keep up the good work!
That's where I live now
@@MASTEROFEVIL I’m so sorry
I remember watching a video about Shitamachi a while back, truly a disturbing creation
My bro and I would watch "Super Mario Brothers Super Show" like lil' fanatics and grub on Super Mario Bros./Zelda (two bags in one box) back in the day. Those are some of my fondest memories of childhood truthfully
kirby has it ROUGH with some games
bowl 64 and the n64 air ride are big ones, but the two i desperately want to know more about are kirby's tilt 'n' tumble 2 and the kirby sidescroller for gamecube
we actually got some new footage of the latter around the time forgotten land came out and has me hoping we uncover more!
I always love watching your lost media videos. Will you ever do a Sonic the hedgehog lost media video?
I recall seeing King Koopas Kool Cartoons on CBBC over here in the UK sometime during the late 90's/early 2000's
Missed opportunity to shine light on Earthbound 64, but still a great video! Keep up the good work, man. 💪
The footage for that isn't lost.
Neither is the majority of the content presented in the video, but it's still lost and has many unknown details, just like Zelda Gaiden.
Perfect timing I’m about to go paint the kitchen now I can listen to this while I paint
Is that kitchen painted yet? 😂
@@Emily-cw7tj yeah it’s been done
@@theotakupunk3484 that's good 🙂
By the thumbnail alone I'm excited to watch cause King Koopa's Kool Kartoons is probably the peice og Lost Media I want found the most
Always a pleasure and a blessing seeing you upload once again, Jorge.
Always a better day when Jorge uploads
Loving the revelation that Jorge pronounces sailboat as “selbut”
Probably pronounces it like that because he's from a Spanish-speaking nation?
stop mocking his pronunciation you rude miscreant
@@ExtremeWreck Yeah probably.

I desperately want to see that king Koopa reading letter after letter actively roasting him and his show.
Possible footage of king koopa show:
Although it isn’t much and probably common info, I used when I was young my father bought me the super Mario show, and I would watch it on a daily basis( we had no cable or anything of the sort so I was forced to watch the same movies/shows) over and over but this where my memory is a tiny bit off I don’t remember if it was in the sequence before you got to the area where you can choose how to watch the show(play, episodes or extras)
The ads/programs(don’t pirate film thing a majig)was an ad for the king koopa show, or either in the extras, as I said I don’t remember much as I shoved most of my child hood memories as far down as possible, all I can I do remember seeing a ad/preview about the show
I enjoy looking into lost media, especially when it comes to video games. A really well-narrated video that you put together Jorge.
I heard it from another youtuber by the way
You know it's good when Jorge uploads him talking about lost media
The king has posted
awesome to see a new upload from blameitomjorge
I buy storages and found a VHS of the Roy Orbison music video for “I drove all night” from the white knuckle scorin tribute album. The best part is that you can see the Nintendo stuff in the video on youtube such as princess brakes, the album name on a wall and even the super Mario bros plumbing van!
Three amazing things got together in this video: Nintendo, Lost Media and blameitonjorge's video style, it was great.
Ayyyy Jorge glad to see an upload from you
It’s always a pleasant surprise when you upload! Your lost media content is unrivaled
9:21 love the pauses you take before saying something extremely outta pocket
nintendo lost media is a fascination for me because theres probably alot more things we don’t know about that are just hidden away somewhere, waiting to be revealed
Big proof of that was the Giga Leak, i’m low key hoping for another one day or that Nintendo just provide the info themselves to the public
I absolutely love seeing what is left on the cutting room floor as well as what could’ve been
Thanks for the video Jorge!
The Super Mario Brothers Super Show is also on Netflix.
Might as well say that I don't think Nintendo owns the rights to the Super Show (at least in terms of distribution) so it probably isn't them acknowledging it (although the theme of the Super Show is in the Mario Movie so they did acknowledge it in some way)
Edit:According to the MarioWiki Paramount and NCircle are the ones currently distributing the show
Kirby Bowl 64 may have evolved into Kirby's Dream Buffet, the Nintendo Switch eShop exclusive. Both games involve a spherical Kirby in a 3D space, and feature a competitive multiplayer mode with 4 players based around knocking people off of the course. However, development shifts changed the overall game from a golf title to a racing game.
Super cool to see a BIOJ video within 30 mins of upload. Been watching for years, can’t wait for more Jorge!
These videos are a treat to watch whenever theyre uploaded tbh and i didnt expect anyone to talk about king koopas kool kartoons tbh
King Koopa's Kool Kartoons and Shitamachi Ninjo Gekijo sound insane...so naturally I want to know where I can see them for myself!
What did he say?
It's awesome seeing a new Blameitonjorge video! After many months, HE crawls out of his hole and comes for new content!
Great work man!
I would love a part two of this. There is so much, you can probably turn this into it's own series.
It's always a good day when you upload
Love it whenever Jorge uploads man
Yes!! Another lost media video from Jorge!! :D 💕✨
I do recall watching an episode of King Koopa's Kool Kartoons on TH-cam when I was REALLY young, but I don't think it's up anymore (obviously)
It always sucks when a video is uploaded on yt then becomes lost media.
Love the content definitely do more gaming and anime lost media
so pumped. Check for a Jorge video everyday
His videos are so nostalgic
I did a video on the sail boat show few years back apart of my Lost PokeMedia series. Glad to see you cover it, hopefully more footage will surface.
Finally some good freaking content
Yes! I’ve been rewatching some of your videos recently and I’m so happy to watch a new video.
Nintendo is one of the biggest sticklers when it comes to their IPs so it makes sense so many things from them would end up lost.
Was just checking to see if you had uploaded talk about good timing
If I would’ve saw the Kid Koopa show as a kid, I would have probably gotten nightmares from it
Did you like nightmares?
I’m from the uk, specifically England and I can say that I remember the king koopa show being aired on a kids channel called “pop” occasionally just before or after the super Mario bros cartoons
