Glad you covered a bit of OD Hooligan! I've made it my mission to have more people experiment with it and to see you using it as well is pretty awesome. An addition to the OD Overhead @ 13:45 : Aki, Cammy, Chun, Deejay, Jamie*, Ken, Kimberly and Ryu have fast jabs (13f or less total duration) and they can safely block the overhead even if they whiff on reversal timing. Fatal Leg Twister/Hooligan Throw can punish in those scenarios. So now the opponent has an airborne 50/50 to deal with if they lack a DP or super art reversal. I'd like to leave the link to my video for you to check out, if you don't mind. I posted it earlier this month with some discoveries I made with OD Hooligan and perhaps you'd like them as well. I've definitely got to rework a bit of my combo's since I've seen you using F.Hk like this! Thanks again for the video! I was watching to pass the time and walked away with new combo routing.
Tip to anyone trying to hit confirm the bmp -> bhk: Expect the block, then react to the hit. I found expecting the block to give me a higher success rate, also it keeps you safer. Better to miss a confirm than misconfirm and be punishable!
10:25 You can get an extra 100 damage on the Drive Impact hit combo in the corner by doing "DI > bHK > DRC > bHK > DR > bHK > DRC > fHK > Charged DP > Lvl 3" (5030 damge). You have to do a slight delay on the second bHK after you do DRC from the first bHK to land it.
I find it interesting how different Punk's Cammy is with Angrybird's Cammy. Punk complains about her low damage. Meterless, Cammy isn't the hardest hitter, but she has so many ways to start interactions, shenanigans and buttons to confirm from. If she had higher damage she would be OP. Punk almost never uses f.HK, as he thinks its a bad button. Punk also doesn't use raw Hooligan, only in combos or after DI as a combo starter I've noticed. Just thought this was interesting
Punk has said recently how he doesn't lab as much and relies on watching others to learn a character. He's basically just playing strong neutral. He's just that good that he doesn't need the extra tech.

Ending with level 3 is 5855 dmg while charged DP 3923 on a normal hit starter. A counter hit gives 6015 and 4083 respectively (you missed damage from the scaled charged hits). Yes, it does hit for 112 more than the variation at 9:25 - 9:34. The nuance is it uses one additional bar of meter, to insert light spin-knuckle. You won't be able to complete the combo if you jumped in with 4 or less bars. A small detail is that light spin-knuckle also makes it impossible to replace the last DR 4HK xx DR 6HK with DR HP xx DR 6HK cancel into ender. I found the fact that it works mid-screen on the variation very useful. Use while replacing the jump HP with DR HP punish counter (costs 1 more bar) on blocked wakeups. Cheers!
How are you getting 4015? When I do that combo I get 3923, which is the same as if you replace the last 4HK-dr-6HK DP(charged) with HP- dr-HP DP(charged)
Birds, you can use the "touchpad button" as a macro reset in training. Depending on the input of the stick you can change the starting position from center or corners quickly. Much faster than menuing. On Xbox i think it is select. On pc you can bind whatever.
Thanks for the video! I'm new to Cammy and bad at fighting games but I'll try to use some of the ideas in this video. I definitely won't be able to do the drive cancels into anything but the info about her good buttons and some spacing tips was helpful. I definitely like this guide instead of others that just show combos with no info about the character or where to use them.
I always miscalculate the distance or am too scared to use a DP on people neutral jumping at some distance... as my wrong DP makes me take a full combo... this DR + b.MP is a bless... I'll surely try it! Thx!!!

The combos at 9:35 and 15:35 are difficult to time. After the second 4HK, drive rush into 4HK and drive cancel into 6HK need to be delayed. Instead you could do: crHP (counter hit), HP xx DR, 4HK, 4HK --------- DR HP(!) xx DR 6HK xx 623HK hold xx QCFx2+P which can be executed without delay, possibly being more consistent. This is also the variation done at 18:46.

I mean for the pressure and confirms all true. The combo routes you are showing after confirms aren’t optimal. If opponent is forced standing and your gonna burn out , you should be doing the launcher when they are standing after drive rush . Then just dr H punch, L spin knuckle - dr launcher - Dr forward heavy kick to H DP level 3 . If midscreen do the Light spiral arrow then level 3. Rest of the tips are definitely spot on though and super helpful

This drove me crazy forever, and I finally got it. For anyone else wondering, I tried getting that 2nd st.HP forever and couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. Then one time it finally happened, and my frame meter looked EXACTLY like his does in the video, so it seems like getting it to hit is just a frame-perfect thing. I'll leave this combo to Angrybird, lol.

Not sure if you still need help but how I do it is once I hold down heavy kick for the DP I do the super motion up and down as fast as possible (I usually do the motion 3-4 times before the super actually comes out) while spamming punch. The whole time I'm holding down heavy kick so that I don't let it go too early and make the super not connect.
3:12 the combo you want to do if you're going off a 4MP is 4Hk hk arrow Dp. It'll half screen carry. If you're up for it. You want to do double 4Hk into hk arrow Dp. Best corner carry + damage.
I like doing drive rush 4Hk > 6Hk > spiral arrow. It gives pretty good corner carry and if you're close enough to the corner you can do M dp after, it can be done mid screen but it only works on standing opponents. It's probably not optimal but idc I just do it cause it looks cool. BTW M spiral arrow does more damage if you don't get both hits of H spiral arrow, and you can't do double back Hk mid screen so how does it give corner carry?
Thank you for the turorial! How do you confirm or learn how to? Seems you need to buffer the special into the fierce punch, there is very little time to distinguish a block animation from a hit. How do you train yourself to only do the special on hit?

comfirm means you react to the hit and do follow up moves. Because if the hit is blocked, you will be minus, so opponent can move before you, if you hit a button again, he will hit you before you will hit him and gives him a counter hit. What's even worse, let say you didn't confirm your crouching medium punch and combo it into heavy spiral arrow, you will leave your opponent a punish counter. So you want to confirm your hit is landed then combo it into next move, if it doesn't hit, it's the opponent's turn to press button, you need to hold block unless your hit is a plus e.g. Heavy spinning kunckle is a +1 you can hit light punch after

Solid video but I still believe forward HK is combo filler at best. 6HK is a guaranteed reversal if it gets blocked as there is no way to make any hit afterwards airtight.
5:12 I tried this combo... for like... 30 minutes... It aint happening in a real match with me holding the controller. Well... unless the guy I'm matched up against can do it.
My problem is with Cammy too anti air even though she has good anti air. Hk whiffs so often. Dp misses jumpers even though you think they're hitting and even b.mp hasn't been hitting lately. The game feels so random. why do I never feel I have 100% control over my character? (Diamond 3 Stars)

i’m sorry but ik angry bird is literally one of THE best players out there and i’m not even close to being in his level im an average 1550-1600mr player but it’s absolute BS to say that cammy is top 5. one of her strongest specials (spin knuckle) can be easily stopped with jab and the best one that she has is HP SKnuckle since it’s the only one that’s plus and someone can’t mash after. also almost all the top tiers have a feint fireball to bait spin knuckle or just have a really good fireball to where it’s not worth it to try to use it (top cammy a don’t rely on it) her not having an overhead really hurts her in this game, you either mix and time your lights, go into HP into L SKnuckle to stop mashing or grab. and if your opponent techs the grab you MIGHT be able to get away with another dive kick otherwise you HAVE to back up against a few of the top tiers in the game that have the same buttons but better. her dive kick is say being her strongest special, is a double edge sword. not saying it’s hard to time a +1 or even a +3 dive kick but people are really starting to check our simply walk forward or walk back anytime cammy jumps to make her minus now. and let’s not forget how horrible the hit box is on it to where characters with extended moves like DJ or Blanka or Chun can easily throw a button out and beat it without much thought if she’s further away. literally luke has a better “divekick” than cammy with his jumping HK💀i’m not saying cammy is bad she’s definitely top 7 in my eyes, but people are really starting to check her best moves and limit her, since in my opinion out of all the top tiers, she really has to work to be plus or frame trap a person. for instance why does ken have a 4frame startup on tatsu and cammy a fastest spiral arrow is 9 frames when i think it should be 7 or frames since it’s easy to punish and tricky to at least be at 0f from the cammy perspective. all in all, im nowhere near close to being on this guys level he’s brilliant, im just on average a 1550-1600 player (smash is my thing lmao) but overtime i feel cammy has some obvious weaknesses being “exploited” now causing cammy a to just switch over. (also i can’t complain because i am playing a high tier character but it’s still crazy some people think she’s top 5)

I used to main Ken before I switched to Cammy and I have to say the neutral game is way better for Cammy. She just have better buttons and walk speed, makes life so much easier. Yes you lose fireball and long range drive rush but heck, you get anti fireball spin knuckles which is way better than dragon lash kick, not to mention dive kicks and big damage punish counter combos. Imo Cammy is way more fun to play than Ken.

@@takistsibris4325 Kim has the same walk speed as Cammy, with lvl3 she is the fastest character in the game. Not sure about her buttons but I assume Cammy is better. However the biggest gain switching from Kim to Cammy is not the neutral game but much better tools and damage like the drive kicks and spin knuckles. More importantly an invincible anti air. Most definitely switching from Kim to Cam feels much better than switching from Ken to Kim.
@@milton5417 Nah, Ken's button aren't good. None of his normals are plus on block, technically speaking, his turn ends after blocking his normal just once. He has no frame trap or pressure without DR or meaty setup. Even Ryu has better c.mk and s.hp than Ken in terms of hit/hurtbox. The reason Ken is good is because of his tools, like OD fireball into DR, corner carry, throw loops, dragon lash kicks, side switch combos etc. But in terms of neutral characters like Chun Li, Cammy and Luke are easily better. Ken's neutral game is just average, it's just that he can skip neutral and corner carry better than other characters can. And we know that once you put your opponent into the corner, your buttons feels better because the opponent is stuck in place and can't play the neutral game well.
In the beginning with the dive kicks I’m so confused. Watching the inputs I do not see anyway the forward jump input but his dive kicks still coming out?!? Looks like QCB+k and then in some instances jump but no kick or others no jump at all? Can anyone explain how this works because pulling this off consistently on controller with stick is difficult for me. Normally will do qcb, forward jump+k is there an easier input?
Watching again in slow motion AB is doing jump input first and then the dive kick motion. They were coming out so quick thought he was doing the other method 😅
Some tricks people used to do was watch stun meter to hit confirm, in this case try watching drive meter? If drive meter drops it means opponent blocked, if the drive meter doesn't drop it means you got a hit(or you whiffed lol). Same with 4MP, if you look at his eyes he seems to be staring at the corner and not the center of the screen.
@@karahankara92 That is certainly a method, but I was thinking it might be hard to see what's going on in the screen if you're looking too far up. Isn't that why people used to stare at stun bar instead of HP bar?
Well, you're most likely going to have it hit on counter-hit if you're using it as a footsie tool anyway. It's rare to hit with it at max poke range and have it just be a normal hit.
@@Aznbomb3rI just found out that they used the stun bar because the HP bar moves anyways because of chip damage. So in sf6 its now the HP bar that has zero variables, the drive meter has little bars, goes orange, and burnout. But like you said HP is very high up, ive heard that punk uses the visuals and some ppl use sound that might be the way.
I wanna correct that the corner combo referred at 9:27 is not actually optimal, the optimal one is Jump HP - 2HP - 2MP - DR - 4Hk - Parry DR - HP - light spin knuckle - Parry DR - HP - DR - HP - DP cancel to lvl3

3 important notes to remember about Cammy for players out there as follows: 1. Cammy has a lot of cake 🎂 🍑 2. In set play the main idea is to bake them cakes as fast as you can 3. Get her cake up in your opponents face and mouth and mush it up in em until their health bar is zero.
She has to work way too hard to get wins. People who says shes top five are just biased tbh. Cammy is a solid character but doesn't get anything for free. You have to have a crazy amount of footsie, confirm knowledge, angle her dive kicks just right during battle, whiff punishing, combo execution, etc. to make her high level or even good.
@@dougstatz1427 i just said she's good. But gave valid points on why she's not top 5. I main Cammy. 300 points away from Master (I just hardly ever play ranked). And it's just insane how much other characters get away with and what tools they have in comparison. Her hooligan is basically a knowledge check. If your opponent knows that you can simply jab her out of it, you pretty much can't use it anymore. Her buttons get stuffed by Ken's, Juri's, Deejay's, etc. Blanka is a CHORE to chase down. You have to always put yourself in direct danger against characters who are even better than she is at close combat. No zoning tools so you're pretty much a sitting duck with playing the distance game. There's basically one game plan. It's effective when you guess right. Otherwise, you're cooked. Cammy can feel oppressive but she definitely has to work for it. I'll give her top 10. Definitely not top 5
I don’t think cammy is top five. I mean I’m not an evo winner but she’s got like bottom three pressure strings. Also her h spin knuckle is great but easier to check than most neutral skips
The spin knuckle is only really good for getting through fireballs, and being plus on block during pressure. I'd agree with you, but her dive kick feels really good when it hits right and that always counts for a lot with me

Master Cammy here, you're nuts. Cammy's 2MK being cancellable alone makes her good. She has amazing walkspeed, fantastic buttons and some of the best oki in the game. Her AAs are among the best in the game with DP, 4MP and 2HP. Divekick is just the cherry on top. I'll concede that her divekick does have problems being stuffed by 2MKs and 2MPs, which is kind of annoying. Her hooligan is still pretty useless overall in spite of the goofiness around the LP/MP EX version occasionally catching jabbers. She's definitely upper-mid tier. Probably not Ken, JP, Luke level. But still extremely good.

Those optimal lvl.2 combos were definitely needed. I almost never use lvl.2, but once I learn all these combos I'll definitely be using it more.

Cammy's normals are stupid good. Don't underestimate the f.hk, you can even confirm in to the level 3 just from it.

Going by sound is the best way usually. Justin Wong says he used to confirm cr.mk into super with chun on thirdstrike by sound alone.

I mean for the pressure and confirms all true. The combo routes you are showing after confirms aren’t optimal. If opponent is forced standing and your gonna burn out , you should be doing the launcher when they are standing after drive rush . Then just dr H punch, L spin knuckle - dr launcher - Dr forward heavy kick to H DP level 3 . If midscreen do the Light spiral arrow then level 3. Rest of the tips are definitely spot on though and super helpful

This drove me crazy forever, and I finally got it. For anyone else wondering, I tried getting that 2nd st.HP forever and couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. Then one time it finally happened, and my frame meter looked EXACTLY like his does in the video, so it seems like getting it to hit is just a frame-perfect thing. I'll leave this combo to Angrybird, lol.

But I’m having such a hard time confirming DP->lvl3 not sure why my brain hasn’t caught on to the combo. Then again, I have a hard time confirming a lot of things, esp cmk-> DR. But it’s great to see that I can punish from different series setup. Ready to grind more practice!!
Not sure if you still need help but how I do it is once I hold down heavy kick for the DP I do the super motion up and down as fast as possible (I usually do the motion 3-4 times before the super actually comes out) while spamming punch. The whole time I'm holding down heavy kick so that I don't let it go too early and make the super not connect.
3:12 the combo you want to do if you're going off a 4MP is 4Hk hk arrow Dp. It'll half screen carry. If you're up for it. You want to do double 4Hk into hk arrow Dp. Best corner carry + damage.
if you're close enough to the corner you should do DR b.HK into f.HK M spiral arrow DP. i've yet to see anyone use the combo though...

I like doing drive rush 4Hk > 6Hk > spiral arrow. It gives pretty good corner carry and if you're close enough to the corner you can do M dp after, it can be done mid screen but it only works on standing opponents. It's probably not optimal but idc I just do it cause it looks cool.
BTW M spiral arrow does more damage if you don't get both hits of H spiral arrow, and you can't do double back Hk mid screen so how does it give corner carry?

How do you confirm or learn how to? Seems you need to buffer the special into the fierce punch, there is very little time to distinguish a block animation from a hit.
How do you train yourself to only do the special on hit?

Hey when he says "confirm the standing heavy punch" or "confirm the back medium punch" what does he mean by that? What do you mean "confirm" the hit? Sorry if this is a noob question. I'm trying to learn.
comfirm means you react to the hit and do follow up moves. Because if the hit is blocked, you will be minus, so opponent can move before you, if you hit a button again, he will hit you before you will hit him and gives him a counter hit. What's even worse, let say you didn't confirm your crouching medium punch and combo it into heavy spiral arrow, you will leave your opponent a punish counter. So you want to confirm your hit is landed then combo it into next move, if it doesn't hit, it's the opponent's turn to press button, you need to hold block unless your hit is a plus e.g. Heavy spinning kunckle is a +1 you can hit light punch after

My problem is with Cammy too anti air even though she has good anti air. Hk whiffs so often. Dp misses jumpers even though you think they're hitting and even b.mp hasn't been hitting lately. The game feels so random. why do I never feel I have 100% control over my character?

i’m sorry but ik angry bird is literally one of THE best players out there and i’m not even close to being in his level im an average 1550-1600mr player but it’s absolute BS to say that cammy is top 5. one of her strongest specials (spin knuckle) can be easily stopped with jab and the best one that she has is HP SKnuckle since it’s the only one that’s plus and someone can’t mash after. also almost all the top tiers have a feint fireball to bait spin knuckle or just have a really good fireball to where it’s not worth it to try to use it (top cammy a don’t rely on it) her not having an overhead really hurts her in this game, you either mix and time your lights, go into HP into L SKnuckle to stop mashing or grab. and if your opponent techs the grab you MIGHT be able to get away with another dive kick otherwise you HAVE to back up against a few of the top tiers in the game that have the same buttons but better. her dive kick is say being her strongest special, is a double edge sword. not saying it’s hard to time a +1 or even a +3 dive kick but people are really starting to check our simply walk forward or walk back anytime cammy jumps to make her minus now. and let’s not forget how horrible the hit box is on it to where characters with extended moves like DJ or Blanka or Chun can easily throw a button out and beat it without much thought if she’s further away. literally luke has a better “divekick” than cammy with his jumping HK💀i’m not saying cammy is bad she’s definitely top 7 in my eyes, but people are really starting to check her best moves and limit her, since in my opinion out of all the top tiers, she really has to work to be plus or frame trap a person. for instance why does ken have a 4frame startup on tatsu and cammy a fastest spiral arrow is 9 frames when i think it should be 7 or frames since it’s easy to punish and tricky to at least be at 0f from the cammy perspective.
all in all, im nowhere near close to being on this guys level he’s brilliant, im just on average a 1550-1600 player (smash is my thing lmao) but overtime i feel cammy has some obvious weaknesses being “exploited” now causing cammy a to just switch over. (also i can’t complain because i am playing a high tier character but it’s still crazy some people think she’s top 5)

I used to main Ken before I switched to Cammy and I have to say the neutral game is way better for Cammy. She just have better buttons and walk speed, makes life so much easier. Yes you lose fireball and long range drive rush but heck, you get anti fireball spin knuckles which is way better than dragon lash kick, not to mention dive kicks and big damage punish counter combos.
Imo Cammy is way more fun to play than Ken.

@@takistsibris4325 Kim has the same walk speed as Cammy, with lvl3 she is the fastest character in the game. Not sure about her buttons but I assume Cammy is better. However the biggest gain switching from Kim to Cammy is not the neutral game but much better tools and damage like the drive kicks and spin knuckles. More importantly an invincible anti air. Most definitely switching from Kim to Cam feels much better than switching from Ken to Kim.

@@milton5417 Nah, Ken's button aren't good. None of his normals are plus on block, technically speaking, his turn ends after blocking his normal just once. He has no frame trap or pressure without DR or meaty setup. Even Ryu has better c.mk and s.hp than Ken in terms of hit/hurtbox.
The reason Ken is good is because of his tools, like OD fireball into DR, corner carry, throw loops, dragon lash kicks, side switch combos etc. But in terms of neutral characters like Chun Li, Cammy and Luke are easily better. Ken's neutral game is just average, it's just that he can skip neutral and corner carry better than other characters can. And we know that once you put your opponent into the corner, your buttons feels better because the opponent is stuck in place and can't play the neutral game well.
In the beginning with the dive kicks I’m so confused. Watching the inputs I do not see anyway the forward jump input but his dive kicks still coming out?!? Looks like QCB+k and then in some instances jump but no kick or others no jump at all?
Can anyone explain how this works because pulling this off consistently on controller with stick is difficult for me. Normally will do qcb, forward jump+k is there an easier input?
Watching again in slow motion AB is doing jump input first and then the dive kick motion. They were coming out so quick thought he was doing the other method 😅

Some tricks people used to do was watch stun meter to hit confirm, in this case try watching drive meter? If drive meter drops it means opponent blocked, if the drive meter doesn't drop it means you got a hit(or you whiffed lol). Same with 4MP, if you look at his eyes he seems to be staring at the corner and not the center of the screen.
@@Aznbomb3r Rather than looking at the drive bar, I recommend looking for the color to change to red in HP
@@karahankara92 That is certainly a method, but I was thinking it might be hard to see what's going on in the screen if you're looking too far up. Isn't that why people used to stare at stun bar instead of HP bar?
Well, you're most likely going to have it hit on counter-hit if you're using it as a footsie tool anyway. It's rare to hit with it at max poke range and have it just be a normal hit.
@@Aznbomb3rI just found out that they used the stun bar because the HP bar moves anyways because of chip damage.
So in sf6 its now the HP bar that has zero variables, the drive meter has little bars, goes orange, and burnout. But like you said HP is very high up, ive heard that punk uses the visuals and some ppl use sound that might be the way.

I wanna correct that the corner combo referred at 9:27 is not actually optimal, the optimal one is Jump HP - 2HP - 2MP - DR - 4Hk - Parry DR - HP - light spin knuckle - Parry DR - HP - DR - HP - DP cancel to lvl3

3 important notes to remember about Cammy for players out there as follows:
1. Cammy has a lot of cake 🎂 🍑
2. In set play the main idea is to bake them cakes as fast as you can
3. Get her cake up in your opponents face and mouth and mush it up in em until their health bar is zero.

She has to work way too hard to get wins. People who says shes top five are just biased tbh. Cammy is a solid character but doesn't get anything for free. You have to have a crazy amount of footsie, confirm knowledge, angle her dive kicks just right during battle, whiff punishing, combo execution, etc. to make her high level or even good.

Her hooligan is basically a knowledge check. If your opponent knows that you can simply jab her out of it, you pretty much can't use it anymore.
Her buttons get stuffed by Ken's, Juri's, Deejay's, etc.
Blanka is a CHORE to chase down. You have to always put yourself in direct danger against characters who are even better than she is at close combat.
No zoning tools so you're pretty much a sitting duck with playing the distance game. There's basically one game plan. It's effective when you guess right. Otherwise, you're cooked.
Cammy can feel oppressive but she definitely has to work for it. I'll give her top 10. Definitely not top 5

The spin knuckle is only really good for getting through fireballs, and being plus on block during pressure. I'd agree with you, but her dive kick feels really good when it hits right and that always counts for a lot with me

Master Cammy here, you're nuts. Cammy's 2MK being cancellable alone makes her good. She has amazing walkspeed, fantastic buttons and some of the best oki in the game. Her AAs are among the best in the game with DP, 4MP and 2HP. Divekick is just the cherry on top.
I'll concede that her divekick does have problems being stuffed by 2MKs and 2MPs, which is kind of annoying. Her hooligan is still pretty useless overall in spite of the goofiness around the LP/MP EX version occasionally catching jabbers.
She's definitely upper-mid tier. Probably not Ken, JP, Luke level. But still extremely good.
Try Aki's Cr MK and tell me Cammy's is bad with a straight face
