I've been trying and failing to break past 1800 mr recently and I noticed I've lost to people just repeating the same option against me in a few games. Some of them seemed to only be looking to walk in and out and whiff punish me, and other games I try to go feral on Marisa like Angrybird in that one video and they're consistently anti airing me. I realize now that I've been neglecting my fireball game, and more importantly not cycling my options correctly. I was cycling options out of demon flip when they were focusing entirely on beating every demon flip option, when instead I could have used the abundance of other tools Akuma has. That was very easy to understand and I feel like I have a more focused goal to work towards now, with an added bonus of Bison matchup stuff. Thanks Big Bird!
Update: After taking a break for the past 2 days I came back and hit 1800! Got a game off of a Legend rank player to get it, though I did lose the set I think because I got flustered in the scrambles. I think my strategy is much more sound now thanks to the video but I still gotta work on my mental game. Thanks again to Big Bird and Angry Bird for starting this channel, making great content, and being awesome. Hope whoever reads this has a great day and hits their personal goals and more, you've got it!
To people outside the FGC, fighting games just look like players smacking each other. But there are so many factors to keep track of: resources, frame data, mix-ups, game specific mechanics, risks-vs-rewards.. and you have to analyze, decide, and act within miliseconds.. a second in a fighting game is basically eternity. 😂
yeah thats why its so fun but if someone whos new to the genre read ur comment, they might just run away saying "no wonder they say fighting games r hard af!"
Fighting games are similar to speed chess . You constantly make "blunders" because you don't have a lot of time to think things through . In essence , they are quite simple compared to other genres of games.
Regarding this, does parry work the same the same as blocking? By that, I'm wondering if you can let go of parry as long as you're already in parry block stun to avoid holding it too long?
Yeah, if they were grinding MR in JP or something these dudes would be 2400 MR players easily, same as guys like Mena, Punk. They play mostly rooms and tournaments so that's the only reason their MRs aren't dramatically higher than 2k.
just using this as a random soap opera box, it's good knowing people even in master / legend have moments where they minds go completely blank ( parrying bison level 1 ), even if they in their soul know they have an easy fucking punish I am STRUGGLING to get out of dia 2 right now, but I'm know I'm close just gotta keep grinding that shit😎
How can I get a pro player or coach to look at my replays and tell me where I'm going wrong? I'm an akuma player I've been stuck at platinum 4 star forever I'm willing to spend hard earned money just to get help I want to get to masters but I don't want to do it just because of the grind I actually want to get better
This Game is so hard to be good, is really good to have this channel to improve

Love this kind of videos. 14:30 This is gold advice btw, should be a short or tiktok or something
Again, another superb break down. Easy to understand and digest. This is what great leaders do, share findings and tribal knowledge.
lol you make it sound like they're sharing how to forage for edible berries and track animals
Which I guess isn't that far off if you think about it

It’s anime timing ⏱️ so much happens in a second lol
Best coaching video I've ever seen. Thank you for posting this!
"Deer in the headlights" moment after parrying Bison level 1, I can relate.
he didn't freeze; his punish inputs got eaten up by lingering parry frames

@@hteety Yes you can let go of parry and you will recover as soon as the block string is over. I think he held it down longer than required.
@@mrteknas Appreciate the answer.
Birds are the one 2k MR players go to for their gameplay review

Broski is pretty good too ngl
Those guys deserves a higher rank, like in chess there is masters and GM, Capcom should give then Grand Legend title or something
@@diogostratega6002God rank. Top 50 in ranked
@@diogostratega6002 the proper title is Phoenix rank. You know why? Legendary Bird.
