I know bread isn't thought of as a health food but, being a food staple in so many places and with so much variety, id like to see a bread tier list

Einkorn is a great bread option especially when fermented like a sour dough. Einkorn flour can be found almost anywhere, you just need to look!

Well here is my list mostly based off vibes and second hand information:
Rye bread is good. So is oat and barley. Wheat is okay. Fullcorn is good, in any type of meal. Fullcorn rye is the most healthy.
Avoid those highly processed smooth toast breads and hotdog breads. Usually you can just feel them by their quality, they don't have a hard shell. A baguette is okay but could contain a lot of unhealthy stuff, be careful with them.
Me, I prefer mostly rough feeling "rustic" oat bread and rye bread. Karelian pies are also good.

This video was terrible - zero thought. We have no info what makes up a bulk of his daily calories. Ginger and cinnamon would add no significant calories. It's unlikely that salsa couldn't amount to over 100 calories. No fruits. No green veggies. No grains. It's primarily dairy and meat. Very little variety. This is extreme (i.e. not well-balanced). Who is this guy? What is his background? What is his name? He won't even show himself in his videos. Completely anonymous. Yet, he has 232K subscribers from 19 videos. It's sad who people listen to.

Hey Talon, good day. I came across your content due to a tardy ADHD diagnose, brought by finding out autism in my son. One of the aspects of the treatment is to keep a good nutrition. So I started watching your videos and tried to apply in my daily routine. Man, did that help me!! I live in Brazil, so many of the foods and spices you mention I find easily and also are greatly affordable. Discussing with my psychiatric, I asked him to keep the meds to a minimum, only what could be defined as fundamental. So I don't make use of anything else besides venvanse. And know this. I had lots fat concentrated in a lot of parts, didn't have good sleep, disposition. In about 2 months after signing to your channel, forcing myself to eat better, I ended up finding out that this routine is actually cheaper to mantain, due to the simpleness of the cooking process I use. Also because a lot of those foods are rather easy to grow and find over here. Dude, a great thanks from the bottom of my heart. In about 7 months I watch your channel, I lost the equivalent to 20 pounds. Less sugar, less salt, less saturated fats. Also, my professional performance. You see, i'm a salesman and after 4 months with this discipline, I had the 3 best salaries in these 2 years on my company. I'm a fan and recommend you to everyone. 🙏

Hello, I also have ADHD. And dealing with everything is just so hard, I live alone and I have to do all by myself which is overly exhausting and overwhelming. But the meal plan is something I really wanna fix in my life because I came to a realization healthy diet and sleep (which both I am terrible at) plus good workout is the key of every problem. Recently managed to quit smoking and that gave me a confidence I in fact can fix my sleeping and eating problems because addiction was one other thing I though I would never beat. But since I also have adhd cooking the same foods everyday will be boring and I literally dont have mental capacity to think what to cook everyday. Can you share your meal plan so I can copy?

I'm a little surprised he neglected to mention the LDL/HDL cholesterol in eggs. Eating TOO MANY eggs can actually be harmful cuz you're still consuming SOME bad cholesterol. Eating a ton of them every day is really not a good idea, especially when you consider that while they do provide protein, it's not enough protein if you're really looking to pack on skeletal muscle in conjunction with regular muscle building exercises.

I started eating what should be around 1000 calories of nuts every day like 2 months back and I’ve gotten super lean without taking anything else out of my diet that would contribute to that many calories (I stopped eating grains but I was only consuming about 200 cals a day of oats). This is on top of a pound of ground beef and hella fruit every day. So enjoy your almonds man they probably won’t make you fat. Make sure you get sprouted nuts or soak them in water overnight though to lessen the amount of anti nutrients.

As for everyday foods... well, it varies, but the rice bowl is my main staple. It consists of a protein (salmon, chicken, pork, or beef), vegetables (parsnip, beet, ginger, carrot, peas, kale etc etc etc) dressed in a sauce (varies, but usually a homemade one), all cozied up next to a bed of rice. It's so easy to make and just takes up about 25 minutes.

For me, not everyday but make a conscious effort to include often: beans (blackbeans, soy in various forms), alliums (purple onions, garlic, chives, etc), citruses (grapefruit, tangerines, oranges, lemons, looking into pomellos), grains (wheat (germ, bran), quinoa), greens (spinach, arugula, kale), berries (blackberries, raspberries, wild blueberries, pomegranite), spices (black pepper, oregano, cumin, turmeric, ginger, ceylon cinnamon), fats (EVOO, advocado), misc (cacao, yogurt, kimchi, saurekraut, psyllium husk, tea, kombucha, MCT oil). Of course overall variety (“eat the rainbow”) is king for your diet, but these foods in particular I have determined to be particularly nutritious for specific nutrients or phytonutrients that they have.

    I eat every single day:
    - 4 eggs with onion and spices (curcumin, black pepper, garlic powder, salt, oregano)
    - 1 loaf of ancient grain whole bread
    - black coffees with turmeric and cinnamon and half a teaspoon of sugar
    - green tea with mint, with either raw honey or stevia, with some almonds or other grains/seeds.
    Almost every day:
    - Fish: salmon or tuna. Sometimes replaced with sardines or red meat.
    - 1 teaspoon of cod liver only on the days I don't eat salmon.
    - If I get hungry between the daily 2 meals, I eat fruits and veggies found in top 2 tiers in your videos.
    Half the time:
    - Leafy green salad (green lettuce and/or kale, onion, green pepper, avocado, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, black pepper etc.)
    - Carb-heavy meals (rice, pasta, etc).
    - 1 glass of grass-fed whole Milk

I have been eating with health and planet consciousness for 50 years but I really like your more scientific break downs. I don't recommend meats 3 times a day or too much emphasis on dairy, however, I do consume them regularly with a reduction of meats to fewer times a week and cheese and yogurt almost every day. AVOCADOS!!! My staple. My biggest change here in January 2024 is to almost eliminate alcohol, at least for a time. If in a month or two I don't miss it, which I already don't on day 9, maybe I'll not go back unless it is for a picnic and wine tasting. Consider using cinnamon in savory foods too, not just sweet. Cinnamon in a squash soup is probably the most easy gateway to using it more in savory dishes, since people in the west are already accustomed to squash and cinnamon as a pairing in sweet stuff.
Also not as healthy, but avocado in sweets is also very underrated. Avocado chocolate pudding is probably the easiest gateway for this. Extremely easy to make and the avocado makes it so buttery and creamy.

I'm in the process of working on my physical and mental health all at once by building an edible garden. I'm super lucky to live in the subtropics, though cursed with clay soil, so I have my work cut out for me, but I'm super mindful of what I'll be planting in terms of nutrition. I won't ever be doing a 'can you live off only what you can grow' because I would miss out on way too many things I don't have space and resources for - like salmon, olive oil, milk and cheese! What has been really fun for me while doing my research is looking at what I can grow and what is good for me too from all the produce I can potentially grow. A lot of what is on your list is possible for me to grow - ginger, avocado, cinnamon, onion, tomato, jalapeños, onion, garlic, citrus and beans and a bunch of other great foods. Fermenting/pickling is my next subject, and it would be great to get a probiotic tier list for fermented foods, or even preserved/budget foods for the bulk shoppers.
I tend to cherry-pick my good advice, and its wonderful to be able to cross-reference what I'm learning with what I can provide myself and my family with in a sustainable way... even just with micro-greens and potted edible plants. I love the videos, both casual and formal!

One thing about eggs which is often fiercely debated is their effect on serum cholesterol levels. There have been several randomised control trials that have demonstrated consumption of eggs to increase cholesterol levels even when consumed as infrequently as once per week. While they are indeed very nutritious and I personally occasionally eat them every couple of weeks I think this is one caveat worth mentioning.

About ginger - Yeah, i agree it's a great food against chronic inflammation so at least older people should consume it on a regular basis, but it delaiyng onset muscle soreness tells me it might reduce gains, so yeah use it for the goals you desire!
But great video and thank you for telling us in decent detail how we can implement the spices in our diet, i use cinnamon in a lot of things but it never occued to me to use it in yoghurt. I have a yoghurt with bifidus bacteria in it (the beneficial kind ofc lmao) and with some extra protein so i may as well make it maximize the health benefits and taste by adding cinnamon to it.

As long as i'm under 2200 i should be okay, but i aim for 1600 to 1800 through out the week (assuming i'll always hit a little above each). Lost ~50lbs on carn and about 5 with fasting, aiming for 170 or 160, starting from 245lbs.
