    My team (high school) runs the dribble drive offense, coach. The offense is predicated on scoring on attacking the rim and kicking out. Ideally, the offense will produce points in the paint or three pointers (3 or key).

      +BBALLBREAKDOWN Hey coach; this is my main account. We score around 60 points per game and we play in the toughest league in our area. My coach implemented the offense a few years ago and it really works well at the high school level and allows GREAT flow and rhythm shots when it is ran aggressively. I'd say it really does open up gaps like Vance says in this video; with the 35 second shot clock it's very tough for the defense to lock down and get multiple stops in a row when we are running it correctly. My coach said Vance talked to him years ago and stressed how the offense can bring the best out of players who wouldn't usually produce much (players who aren't as athletic or naturally gifted). I love your videos!

    Kings are a frustrating bunch. A lot of talented players, they go on a roll then they have a brain fart. There pace & offence have stepped up this year in large parts to Rondo finding his groove..with the West being such a mixed bag this year, Kings have a chance to make the playoffs if they tighten the bolts to there head.

      +Trell Fraser all they run is high PnR and some post ups with the second unit. The rest is KD or Westbrook iso ball.

    • @Bap3311

      +Slim Charles I wanna know why it sucks so bad

    • @elvero666
      @elvero666 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Trell Fraser well i pretty much told you why :) they dont really run plays that often and at least to my understanding they dont have a specific type of offensive system other than let their two main ball handlers create freely. And it is not even that bad of an approach because they have two of the best players, but in certain situations you want to be able to run a structured play or follow some kind of offensive system. They did not do it under coach Brooks, and up to this point i don't see much difference under Donavan.

    • @thebeast12333
      @thebeast12333 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Trell Fraser I wouldn't say it sucks because for the most part it works for them when they have a healthy Russ and KD on the court however the times when it doesn't work they could really do with running some actual plays to take them to the next level.

    training nba players is the great background setting for the interview, waiting for the part 2,
    as for the Kings I wish Cousins stopped whining like a little girl every time he thinks the refs are wrong, not only he gets technical fouls but also deserves no respect for that

    • @Hidden-Secrets
      @Hidden-Secrets 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      could not agree more. maybe a trade would help him. i always thought maybe Boston a place with big tradition and a more expierenced environtment. i like George Carl he is a Top 10 Coach but the other guys in that nba Club are causing too much Trouble and other Noise. maybe thats just me.

    • @sphere404notfound
      @sphere404notfound 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Nihil Verum Omnia Licita Still believe in Cousins, he is too big a talent to trade him, actually this little problem could be solved very easily: team players, especially Rondo, need to come at Cousins and tell him: "just shut up and play on, you are a big boy, so act like one", but maybe they already did and it didn't help) who knows.
      I agree with you that George Carl is a great coach and if not in this season then the next we will see Kings in the playoffs. The main thing is to stick with Carl even if they won't get there this year.

    • @halomasterlion98
      @halomasterlion98 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Nihil Verum Omnia Licita A trade would not help Cousins. No matter where he goes, you are NOT going to change his attitude. It only takes himself to realize how he should change his attitude.

  • @aaronjohnson6622
    @aaronjohnson6622 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Coach Nick you came to my city and didn't let me know? Just kidding. Glad to have you. Unfortunately I don't think the Kings are going anywhere once again and I think it's interesting you started off by asking Coach Vance about the dribble drive. In all honesty the Kings have horrible ball handlers (Gay, McLemore, Casspi, etc) so anythinng involving dribbling is probably not a good idea for most of them. *I wish they would trade Cousins. Sigh

    • @thebeast12333
      @thebeast12333 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +The Healthiest Skeptic Rondo is there to handle the ball and he's an elite ball handler. Also why on earth would you want a franchise player like Cousins to get traded?

    • @bballbreakdown
      @bballbreakdown  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is one of the issues I have with the offense, is that it puts a lot of pressure on certain players.

    • @aaronjohnson6622
      @aaronjohnson6622 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      thebeast12333
      That's a good question. Look at the amount of turnovers Cousins makes. He's probably in the top 5 overall and probably number 1 for big men. Then factor in that he is lazy on defense, particularly help. On top of that he forces shots, has a terrible attitude, which has to rub off on the team, and still really isn't in great shape. His strengths are his rebounding, tenacity inside, and his confidence in himself. His outside shot has improved in the past years also. With no signs that he plans on changing for the better, the best solution would be to trade him. Unfortunately, Vlade and others are big on him. Sometimes stats can be misleading.

    • @aaronjohnson6622
      @aaronjohnson6622 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      BBALLBREAKDOWN
      Yes. The cutting part I like, the dribbling part would be fine if we had forwards and shooting guards who could dribble. Play by play announcer, Grant Napear, gringes everytime Rudy Gay, Casspi, or McLemore dribbles more than twice. He's right though, they aren't good ball handlers

    • @aaronjohnson6622
      @aaronjohnson6622 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I stand corrected. Cousins is number 10 in turnovers, but he has the most out of all centers. Nerlens Noel is the next worst center in turnovers. He's 24th
