      this looks like a mix of Warriors Nuggets and 7 sec or less. Sabonis is playing Jokic light while Huerter is playing Steph light and Fox is playing Nash light so the offense looks so easy because they are playing 3 offensive styles which are based on 3 of 5 best offensive teams of 2000s+.

      I'm 22 been a fan since I was 11 after watching them beat the Lakers in a pre season buzzer beater in person (Thomas and Mac, Las Vegas). It's been pretty hard keeping up with the NBA due to the Kings having such a drought for so long and my general interest in sports began leaning toward football more but after checking up today and seeing they're 3rd in the west! I did more digging and when I saw that Hurter 3 vs the Jazz that blew me away. You haven't heard fans like that blow up in the NBA for a while it was like a game 7 explosion. That imo was a scream of Kings fans over the last decade all culminated into one LMAO. Got me pretty hyped I think it's time I tune back in to basketball, go Kings.

    I haven't really watched the Kings this season, but then I noticed Sabonis's assist numbers the other day and was curious (the only center passing more than him is Jokic). I tuned into the Kings game yesterday and saw the reason immediately. This is indeed beautiful offense, and I hope they can have some post-season success this year.

    Sabonis is the perfect type of player for this type of offense. His ability to pass, set screens, and create offense for his own make him valuable when you put him next to Fox. This team is centered around Sabonis and Fox, but their supporting cast is very well rounded. Barnes, Huerter, and Monk are all great role players on this team. Mike Brown is easily the COTY. Everyone hated the trade last year, but I knew Sabonis would be great for this team in near future, they just needed the right coaching to unlock his skill set next to Fox and Brown has done a great job. So happy for Kings fans, they deserve this.

    • @pinobluevogel6458

      The issue wasn't if Sabonis was good, it was letting go of Haliburton who was their best player at the time. It was a very risky move, but I don't think they wouldn't have been able to trade for Sabonis without him. Moving your young star for a center that wasn't really playing like modern basketball 5's (ie: shooting threes) was something most franchises would not have done, especially in a time where centers aren't valued as much as they used to.
      The upside ofcourse is that Sabonis was already in his prime. Being a such a good playmaker and more than enough of a threat around the basket that he can attract double teams, makes him fit really well in this system.
      In the end it really worked out for both teams, Haliburton is playing really well at the Pacers and the Kings are much better for it.

    • @pinobluevogel6458
      @pinobluevogel6458 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@gt8932 While he has a similar role, Jokic is leaned on much harder in a lot of ways. He is their main scoring engine and when the ball touches him, usually good things happen. Sabonis during the season was a similar distribution hub, but Kings rely on a ton of speed in transition as well, where Sabonis isn't used at all.

    Just to broaden the minds of kings fans.
    Fox was the de facto "best player and the leader" of the kings for 5 years and the kings average about 30 wins.
    Sabonis shows up. He plays point guard, runs the offense, sets screen, rebounds, pretty much does everything (he tries on defense, which is more than fox) and the kings will win 40 games.
    The culture builder and changer, the kings best player and leader is SABONIS, not fox.

    • @pinobluevogel6458
      @pinobluevogel6458 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sabonis is really key to their offense, but Fox has had some clutch moments to win them games this season. The strength of Fox also helps Sabonis and the rest of the team do their thing. Because he is such an explosive scorer, he needs to be guarded well and that takes pressure off the rest.

    As a fan I'm happy for the Kings. However I'm not so sure about the part in the video about them having a strong offensive system like past teams that would make 'coaches proud' ala the 2001 Kings, etc. More often than not the offense seems to be run through raw talent of Sabonis and Fox and three point shooting. They could afford to run more plays and off ball screens/movement to open up the offense more and have more of a system in my opinion.
    They also really need to pick it up on defense of they want to win playoff games.

    Kings are the ideal team for a coach looking for a new start because they have moldable humble players willing to play for the team, rather than try and be lebron.
    All these plays happen because the players are willing to fully execute the plays.
    Seen countless times where superstars are half assing plays drawn for them because they don’t see the point in the play. Some commit to the play but they aren’t willing to make the extra pass, lazy screen sets, etc.

      Comparing Huerder to Curry is a bit much, but comparing him to Klay I can live with. He does have great off-ball instincts and pretty good playmaking. This is not unlike Klay Thompson at all.
