stromae has its own style. which is incredible with him, with melancholy and very melodious music he manages to create feelings of sadness and joy. it's art at this level. There are still clips left, and I can't wait to hear your reaction on, eva cesaria, Formidable or tous les mêmes... very different but fabulous styles.
Orelsan is from the city of Caen in Normandy, Stromae from Belgium. Those areas have lots of rainy days during the year, which colored the light with grey tones, concrete and stones. this evoke also the boredom that it creates. And by the way Orelsan have GREAT GREAT lyrics!! (Suicide Social or L'odeur de l'Essence! a must listen to)
I LOVE your reaction. 😊 Give Orelsan a chance (he’s HUGE in France!). I discovered him through this song with stromae and love him ever since. I am also not speaking french, but his music/rhythm catches me. With subtitles, it’s even better (great lyrics). And I think these two fit perfectly, they like each other, their voices complement each other perfectly and you can feel this vibe I think. I hope they collaborate again soon.
You can react to : odeur de l’essence, suicide sociale and défaite de famille all of them it’s orelsan songs ✨ ( with English sub ) trust me it’s so good !!!
@@MerchantOfAlba please give a chance to Orelsan and only listen to La Quête. It is a more international song than others which are specific for French and Belgian.
@@MerchantOfAlba Basic it's a sont of Orelsan and it's un très bon rap sur les comportements sociétaux... Au vu de l'inversion des valeurs qui se produit dans notre société... A voir et surtout à écouter Big kiss of Quimperlé, France.

Hello, just a short comment about "french seems very hard (to learn/speak)", same goes for everything. Imagine you would have to learn to swim, it would seems impossible at first. But with lessons and will to improve (motive is better than will though), you could and would improve. The first thing hard with french is that there are some sounds that does not exist in other languages. But - truth to be told - there are sounds that does not exist in every linguage :D I went to sweden, they try to make me say "ül" (which is alchool). It's just a sound, I failed miserably :D Anyway, thanks for your reactions to french music :D
I'm from Brazil, and I'm gonna say 2 things, actually 3. 1) I'm a fan of your reactions, the difference is that you two are so deep in the lyrics and videos, that's impressive! 2) Stromae is awesome, his life story and carreer is so rich. 3) Please, do more reactions about him and his songs. Let me take a chance of suggestions: 1) Papaoutai - Stromae (I'm asking how you even didn react to that! Lets do it! 2) Stromae Feat Orelsan & Maitre Gims - AVF à URBAN PEACE 3 LIVE and finally let me suggest another singer very interesting for reacts... 3) Soolking - Liberté or Maitre Gims ft Kendji Girac - Dernier Metro. Congratulations for your job! awesome! greeting from BRAZIL!
Hello again, good to see you both again. 👍 I would like you guys to listen to Lee Kernaghan country songs videos. You guys will love hearing him singing. You both take care and stay safe and God Bless you and your family 🌺🌈🦋💖❤️🙏🏻from Edith in Queensland Australia 🇦🇺
Actually, the two of them are friends and their help each other to create their songs (you can see Orelsan in Carmen's clip on a blue bird). I am not sure but I think this music was first Stromae's but he didn't know what to write in it so he ask orelsan to help him. It would be really cool if you can react to his other song ! (Don't know if my english was correct, I hope so)
hahahahaha I just read the subtitle of this song with watching you , the orelsan part is nonsens... 4:15 for exempe "where Billy joel play in out Mvps" wtfffff ????!!! he never mention billy joel at all , he say : "Où tout l'monde cherche une place, Julien Clerc dans l'monospace" = where evrybody's looking for a place, julien clerc in the minivan" and its just one exemple ^^ they totally change the lyrics for adapt expression or this kind of things. really strange^^ but funny to me who's french ^^
It is to make it relatable to an English speaking audience. No one in the English speaking world has ever heard of Julien Clerc. Same thing with “la chenille”. Good translation is never word for word, it’s about understanding the whole meaning and translating it into something understandable in the target language. Which can actually be pretty difficult when it comes to poetry, which uses a lot of figures of speech, allusive figures, etc. As with every Stromae’s song, this translation is actually excellent, obviously made by people who are very good in both French and English.
@@tixien yeah I get it , it just hurt my brain as a french when I heard the song and read the english subtitle in same time ^^ translate stormae in english is like tying to translate some eminem in french u lost so many wordplay
Hi, Love your reactions, so positive, smiling and everything. Keep it up. I would love you to react to all Stromae music albums, but if i had to choose one, i'll took "ave cesaria" : th-cam.com/video/rO1VDCZh_Ko/w-d-xo.html Why you ask ? it has that retro touch 80s-90s, it is deeply related to stromae african roots, ,it is nostalic and a good music.
Stromae was involved the production of the song! So glad Dominika is now a Stromae fan like us. Orelsan is also incredible.
Stromae is Belgian. Orelsan is French. The north of France and Belgium are famous for their very rainy weather. I am Belgian and I confirm! 😁
Ho mon dieu, une saison différentes par jour hahaha (je suis de Bruxelles)
