That shifter is bugging me. You don't have an 8mm at Parktool HQ?

One of the fabricator that I work with he made his own version of this lift, he had crank handle and also a motor just incase power goes out.

I’m sure struggling to get my carriage assembly to slide on as easy as the video showed,. I’ve removed it 3 times and tried again and I can barely get it to budge with a rubber matter.

Get a hold of us at info@parktool.com and we can get you some different bearings.

For future customers: put a very slight bevel (chamfer) on the top edge of the tracks to help guide the bearings onto the tracks.

What is being shown at 1:59?

The two carriage bearings are a tight fit, and it is not uncommon for the beam to peal a little material off the bearing as the unit is engaged at the top of the beam.

Those are the shavings that come out after the carriage is slid on. They are not always visible and on some of the newer versions of the stand.

@@parktool Thank you. I see set screws behind the bearings (if too tight or too lose, I assume).

Of crse they dont show/say anything abt installing it without their optional $300 base plate! SMH. Need to know if hardware incl. for bolting to floor and if not what do you need because this thing is totally useless without that small piece of information.

It is in the description of the item online. Some people want to bolt these directly to the floor. Others want to use the floor plate. The hardware to attach it to the plate comes with the plate. If you are attaching it to your floor the fasteners may vary so you will need to provide the fasteners.
