I have a couple of Park Tools( chain breaker and wear gauge) if they were reasonably priced but Ice tools are good also. I buy tools for function and overall finished quality. I'm no Park Tool only snob. lol Brand doesn't matter if there is a cheaper option that works better.

As long as you are using all modern parts all you would really need in addition is a cable cutter and maybe a torque wrench. Also, if you are installing a SRAM DUB BB you will need that specific tool. Otherwise it’s a very complete kit.
@@coldcrush1 I believe that one has a SEALED square tapered bottom bracket so this kit will have the BB tool for it. Make sure you take the cap off the end of the crank puller for square tapered

I got an old Walmart type of bikes in need of some heavy refurbishing. Those kinds of bikes are like $100 or so.. not sure if I should invest in a bicycle tool set for $80 when I could just go and buy a Walmart bike...
The B twin looks legit! seems good but I don't have one to say for sure. It would be a looooooooong video if I use every one. I have used it and it is really good. Not as nice as my Park tools but for the price it is a good buy.

Freewheel removal tools are brand and type specific so you have to look up the right one for your particular freewheel. Having a random model in the kit wouldn’t help.
Just wondering... do you own Park Tools brand in all the tools you use? Reason for asking is so that I can see how you would compare these very budget kits compare to somewhat of a standard tool sets from Park Tools. Did you watch the video? Just curious because at 2:00 I show a Park Tool chainlink tool and compare it to the one in the kit. I later show a Park BB tool and also compare it to the one in the kit at 6:00 I have, and use, Park tools that I bought over 20 years ago. Why do I feel like my wife and I can rent a bike or borrow a bike or check out friends bikes quickly to check something out on theirs or ours and ours always does hard shifts or what people say are ghost shifts where it shifts when we don’t use our thumb to shift. All other bikes we are on never do it. Our bikes are newish ( 2 months) and hers is $4;000 and mine is 2,000$. Very frustrated and confused
If you bought them at a bike shop they should tune it for free. If not check out my video on how to adjust the derailleur. Another thing is to make sure the cable housings are properly seated in their stops and that the derailleur hanger is straight.

Great video. I have a suggestion for a video. Bike torque specs for different parts of a bike and the use of different torque wrenches.

Good idea though there are a lot of videos out there on the subject. A newer video is not a bad idea though. Most of those videos are rather old.

You probably don’t need a kit like this for BMX. You are better off buying the individual tools that are a more specialized towards BMX

To be honest the older cheaper bikes do not need most of the specialized tools in the kit. Basic mechanic tools will do.

Most pf the tools in this kit are bike specific. I have a LOT of automotive tools and still find this kit very useful.
Have you ever used any tools from Unior? How do they compare to Park Tools? What manufacturer competes strongly against Park Tools?
Have not tried Unior. Park Tools are hard to beat. Some of my Park’s are over 20 years old. I think Pedros might compete with them.
