These stitches are really stunning... I haven't looked at your channel but I am looking to hand stitch pupils onto a plush toy with normal thread and wasn't sure which technique to use... But I shall improvise lol... Thank you for the great tutorial on these circular stitches
I rewatched this and I love the Rhodes and woven wheel techniques you did. I didn’t know you could mix colors for the WW stitch! Fantastic! Have you heard of radial satin stitch?? I can’t find any sources.
Great video, thank you. Is there a stitch to create a tube, such as tube coral? I can't seem to figure out how to build upwards from a circular stitch. thanks!
@@SarahHomfrayEmbroidery I googled needle lace and it’s beautiful. However , if I am not mistaken most isn’t 3 dimensional. I am thinking more of something like a smooth cup stitch that can be made taller , if that makes sense?
These are all wonderful! I just started doing embroidery and I wish I’d found your channel before I started working on any projects, but now I know what I’ll be binge watching this weekend! :) Can I ask how you draw the circles?
Enjoy Stephanie, we have over 200 so you will be busy for a few weekends I think! I have a circle template with lots of different sizes on but you could draw around a coin or use a compass!
I wrote the RSN Essential Stitch Guide to Silk Shading and contributed several projects to the V&A: Embroidery a Makers Guide Carol. We have a video review of the latter one, do check it out!
