They have a very nice growl to them, since the retirement of the C7.R and Camaro GT4.R there was nothing with a good American thunder sound to it (except the Cadillac), even though I'm a GM man I'm very glad the Mustang filled that void so well👏
GM man or not, sadly the Mustang will be the only choice in this catergory. (I'm torn between Ford and Chevy, as a European, I like both and I drive an EU Ford)
Yeah, unfortunately....with incompetents and straight criminals in power legendary cars and name plates are no longer the way in USA, today both companies are too busy pretending electric cars are the future while losing tens of thousands of $$$ on production of each, while cars like Camaro and Challenger take an axe😔
@@g00dl00kinb0i The Camaro took the axe because it's design was ancient (Dating back to 2006 with the Zeta platform, which the Alpha was essentially just a rebadge of), like when the Catfish was cancelled, it'll be back, Chevy has said as much (and while I expect an EV variant, it won't be the big models).
Well the Cadillac ATS or Alpha platform is still quite modern even today, it offered many tech features still not standard today in most cars like Magnetic Ride Control.
In both cases the stoppage of Camaro's production had NOTHING to do with it being "ancient", after all the Challenger sold for 15 years with its 2005 technology and a frame from a late 1990s Benz....in both cases Camaro was axed due to low sales numbers primarily and GM's pathetic marketing abilities of this model in general.
Btw, Alpha wasn't a re-badge as it was several hundreds of pounds lighter then Zeta and some 30% stiffer.
Great Racing! Love those Mustangs! GO FORD!!!!!
Between this series, Porsche Cup, and MX-5's there is a HUGE amount of entertainment in watching these single-make IMSA series. I loved this.
Keep up the great work IMSA, John, and Shae
Awesome sound. Keep it at these levels! Thanks IMSA.
Ford Mustang racing is awesome thanks guys girls for brilliant coverage love it👍🇬🇧
Also great commentating on the IMSA channel!
😂😂😂😂Yeah that ram at the beginning was definitely bad blood between the two😂😂😂😂😂. It's almost like I was playing Gran Turismo 7 online 😂😂.
Love that ford made this series. 3 pedals, V8s. Hell yeah brotherrr! Will be watching every race.
I thought the Porsche and Mazda series were all I needed in my viewing life. Apparently I was wrong. This is fantastic.
Loved both of those races. Best idea I’ve seen in a long time in racing.
I was at the race Saturday and tbh I didnt care for it. Then I learned about the car and the "spirit" of the series and fell in love. Was never a muscle car guy, this series changed me
Nick Smither & Jim Farley -- Great job!!! Looks like a lot of fun! Mark Rushbrook -- your team has done a great job!
Nice race in a cool series on a challenging track.
This is fantastic. Feels and sounds a bit like old school trans am racing. Will be even better when the drivers become familiar with the cars
Hey Kel -- Great to see you out there!!!
More Shea, please.
Adding 65 grand for a roll cage install, fire suppression, racing seat? I hope there is something I`m missing like maybe electronics and carbon brakes for the cost bump.I`m just wondering what the upgrades are that justifies 140 grand price.
Ford following Harleys lead. Selling an illusion of dated, sub par design.
Okay i gotta get into this series
6:45 looks like opalski got doored off the track by bachoura to me, you can see the green debris flying in the air... Shae talking about braking too late lmao.
I don’t think “doored” , I think ran out of talent is more like it.
@@jimccc9467 I didn’t know doored has a connotation of intention… I just meant they hit door to door, which means no blind spots and can see the car next to you.
They should try Matt’s Recovery Ropes, lol
Moostang Challenge, lol I love it!
More fun to watch than F1 honestly. I hope this inspires more like it.
do they have the right brake fluid? some appear not to.
What the difference DH and DHL?
Assuming they can keep the numbers up, I'd say Ford made a good business decision starting this series up. Replacement parts are gonna by flying off the shelves.
The only thing missing from putting Opalski in the back of the Explorer was putting him in cuffs, first. Maybe it only looked like he accelerated through the grass because the others were braking. Seemed strange.
he got knocked off the track by the dark green/orange car, could have made his foot slip or braking with two wheels on the grass can make the ABS weird out
The pin on the Ohio map for this and the MX-5 Cup is nowhere close to where Mid Ohio is.
Not much of a crowd. I went the last year IMSA raced there, they hadn't cut the grass; nothing had been done to the track in years... it was a mess. Needless to say, I stayed home this year.
You probably have the best seat to watch the action that was anyway.
Complete repave so there’s that.
Hahaha we made the same comment about the grass. I enjoyed the weekend
Green cars all crashing lmao
There was more yellow flag than racing. Mustang drivers.. don't know how to not crash.
You weren’t watching then
@@jimccc9467 you’re right, I was on the other screen looking up car parts.
Lmao. Mustangs doing mustang things and spinning the entire race. Here's my question: is the driver quality worse in the mustang challenge or the supertrofeo challenge? Which get the honor of the worse bunch of fake racecar drivers?
Go back to gran Turismo please. If it wasn’t children racing it may be great. Having to sit around on yellow because some 17 year old can’t drive yet is a joke. I am in shock at the video game drivers they let behind the wheel now. Good thing it’s near impossible to kill someone in these heavily restricted 200 point safety regulated cars.
Well, this is the only way Ford can sell these cars. By selling them to the racing team's and rich people. Because these new Mustangs are garbage. Their ugly and Ford did pretty much nothing from the last gen. pretty lazy if you ask me. I'm not paying 61k for 40 more hp😂😂😂😂. I'll just keep my current Gt.
Absolutely. This "series" is a bunch of garbage drivers in boring cars
