@@ConfusedReviewsI agree. I remember, when this came out, and I was attending MTSU, and going to the drive-in in Woodbury, Tennessee to see. I got into the ten minutes, and just thinking this horrible, and driving out.
I really had high hopes for Rob Zombie when I heard he was going to start making movies, especially knowing he is a movie buff and film aficionado. His movies never really panned out or were outstanding to me when he actually started making movies.
regarding the mask not deteriorating - i've had a few halloween masks that were bought in 2006-2008 that get tossed into a box and then displayed outside on dummies every Halloween that still look damn near pristine - including a Michael Myers mask. from what I understand from mask collectors what causes the masks to rot is oils from skin building up and in some cases extreme heat. in the context of this movie it was worn once and then tucked into a floor in Illinois so it's not too far-fetched that it was still in one piece 15 years later.
@@ConfusedReviews they way Loomis says "well maybe somebody gave him lessons" in the original definitely sounded like he was blaming himself. Like he was processing his own frustration at the fact that he taught Michael to drive.
Dude, you’re funny as f*ck!.The text from Sherri Moon got me dying!..But I still love this movie. It’s like a multiverse Michael Myers. You know, something different
There has to be a porn parody of this set in Hardenfield, Willynoise. Laurie Stroke, Annie Suckett, Michael Plougher, Ben Dover Tramer, Dr. Sam Spoogis, Lindsey... eh, better stop there for danger of sounding like Bob.
This whole movie could've been fixed if in the first 30 minutes Michael's family was a healthy/normal family and he was the quiet/weird kid, the rest of the film holds up really well, also delete the dumb subplot of Laurie being Michael's Sister, i understand Zombie wanted to make something different, but he really screwed it up so bad.
Absolutely brilliant & sometimes very funny new review of Rob Zombie's 2007 Halloween remake. which I didn't like at all. however, I did much prefer the sequel, because it just felt like another sequel to the original films. the other films I really like of his are The Devil's Reject's & The Munsters. the rest of his films not so much, I think he would have made a terrible Texas Chainsaw Massacre film. my favourite Halloween films are the original Halloween 2. 4. 5. 6 & Rob Zombie's Halloween 2. also I would love to see Danielle Harris somehow return back as a older Jamie.
@@DabionFreedom thank you! I agree the second zombie outing is much better and far more interesting. Can’t wait to see people’s reaction to that information haha
Eh.. Never liked the whole "Michael is just a force of nature with no motive" idea. They yadda yadda'd his family life. Like, what did his parents do after he was committed to the psychiatric hospital? Did they agree with Lumas' decisions? Did they die? Cause they just disappear after the opening.
I remember Zombie did an Interview, he said he well never do a Horror Remake. He seem mad at that time because Holly-Weird was doing that. What does he do??? He makes a "Remake". Does that make him a hypocrite? I don't want to say anything Bad about him because "Astro-Creep" and "make Em die slowly" is his Best Albums Hands Down🤘🤘
Alright, let's get something straight, the original HALLOWEEN movie was lighting in a bottle. It was a figment of it's time in history. Nothing like that had ever happened. It was like STAR WARS for Horror fans. However, with that said, it DOES NOT HOLD UP 45+ years later. The only thing that does is the music. The slow pacing, the bad dialog, it's boring, it's dated, it's 100% overrated. It IS NOT the best of the series. When it came to Rob Zombie's HALLOWEEN, when it was announced, the very first thing on everyone's mind was "can he write a movie that IS NOT white trash!?" The answer was NO. It had the same bullshit dialog of House of a Thousand Corpses and Devils Rejects, but with Michael Myers in it. I get what he was trying to do, by making Michael a Frankenstein monster that you try and "connect" with/take pity on, but it just doesn't work. The first act, was the white trash family portion. Garbage. The second act was the insane asylum, which whether you watch the Theatrical or Unrated Directors Cut, both have interesting ways of him escaping. Still dumb. The part of that movie that still shines to this day, is the 3rd act, which is just a sped up version of John Carpenter's original. So 1 hour was wasted on Act One and Act Two, just to get to the amazing Act Three remake. Watching the, what was it, 4 hour long documentary on the making of it, really did show how crazy it was to make it. It DID NOT SHOW the meddling from the Weinsteins that was definitely going on though. So to his credit, Rob did make a "good" HALLOWEEN film, just only telling the part that someone else had already written before and altering it.
The first Halloween was kinda lazy writing he didn’t have a motive and it wasn’t a copy and paste first the first one I lke they did something different
this video is idiotic. the creator just basically said everything but the original movie is invalid because giving reasons for Michael evil, started with the very first sequel. Its not Rob who doesnt understand, its the guy talking in the video lol
He blames the Weinsteins for everything, instead of taking responsibility. Well, Weinstein was not round that, so called Munters movie.
To be fair, those dudes suck, too.

Looking at porn on a truck stop toilet is a perfect description of many Zombie films in my opinion

I always thought Michael knowing how to drive was an indication of him being supernatural like something else was “driving” him (no pun intended).

The approach Zombie was taking is not a bad one, but it really xould have used some subtlety. And less screaming.
