What has the northern government done with the federal government allocation, have they invested in health, education and social infrastructure to better their people, no. Instead they expect other parts of the so called federating unit to slow down and wait for them to catch up, which in my opinion is stupid and unrealistic. This pseudo professor describes to a belief system that suggests borrowing or taking loans without interest to run a private business or businesses that's out to make profit is a good thing, because of his religious beliefs. He should go find out from Dangote and others how they borrowed money to finance maga projects that has created thousands of jobs opportunities for people and subsequently speeding up the so desperately desired developments. .

@adde-m7k having multiple sea port is part of regional development. Nigerians are over 200 million and Lagos is the sole seaport which has become congested for all importations. Do you even know how stressful it is to transport heavy goods from Lagos to the East, North and South south by road? United Kingdom with population of about 69 million has approx. 120 commecial seaport.

He has made tremendous points and has sounded out Emir Sanusi's, Peter Obi's, and Atiku's ideas. This means that his points will only be appreciated and accepted by the ordinary Northerners, definitely not the northern politicians and most of their fanatical religious leaders. I disagree with you on some the points but I agree on most of the plans. 1...There's no way Nigeria can create a special Bank of Industry for Northern Nigeria only that will not charge interest. If such a bank exists in the north, it would be out of business in no time. 2...North can only survive when it establishes a regional policy but being pushed or propagated by individual states. There should be the empowering of the local government tier as the catalyst of national development which the Tinubu government is trying to do. Each geopolitical area should develop according to its own talent. There should be devolution down to the constituents parts to enable proper development. There is nothing like Northern Nigeria. It is an artificial entity created by the British as a convenient tool for the exploitation of the area. We should be smart enough to devolve power down within that area to its constituent units. @adde-m7k having multiple sea port is part of regional development. Nigerians are over 200 million and Lagos is the sole seaport which has become congested for all importations. Do you even know how stressful it is to transport heavy goods from Lagos to the East, North and South south by road? United Kingdom with population of about 69 million has approx. 120 commecial seaport.

I'm from South West of Nigeria! I must confess that his speech is loaded with facts. But area of religious fanaticism isn't addressed and that is the major problem from the North. I was born and had my elementary education in Kano over six decades ago; we lived in a very peaceful atmosphere. Agriculture, industrial evolution very okay then with good leadership but these days are rubbish.
May Allah help us and bring such people like u to the northern Nigeria to raise our youths in northern Nigeria

This means that his points will only be appreciated and accepted by the ordinary Northerners, definitely not the northern politicians and most of their fanatical religious leaders. The northern politicians and some of such religious leaders may even try to silence him.

I disagree with you on some the points but I agree on most of the plans.
1...There's no way Nigeria can create a special Bank of Industry for Northern Nigeria only that will not charge interest. If such a bank exists in the north, it would be out of business in no time.
2...North can only survive when it establishes a regional policy but being pushed or propagated by individual states.
We are not a communist country. Even China has dropped the idea a long time ago. That's why they are where they are today.
So forget about the collective bargaining. Even families have siblings who grow at their individual pace. There must be competition amongst the regions and states.
Until they reach the logical conclusion that their religion is meant for the inside of their abode, we will be having the foolishness of banks without interest rate. The north want to move forward? They need to forget that Islamization shenanigans, it is a non-starter!
