God blessed this gentleman and his family, respect is the main goal in society.
Give me a break. The scumbag claimed he would never disrespect the man or his family and would pray for the man’s soul, even as he actively planned to get him fired while secretly recording him.
Cutting off a man’s livelihood of 20 years because he used a word ironically as a cuss, one could argue is is more than disrespectful to the man and his family who now have to deal with the fallout of loss of income.

I feel for this dad. I can’t imagine what it feels like to see your own son being attacked based on their skin color. Props to how he handled the situation and I hope to see more of this in the news. Dad didn't control anything, all he did was ruin a mans career. He say's "God bless" after he destroys him, what a joke, and omg the damage that must have done to the child who listens to rap music all day long. This could have been handled better by both men if it even happened at all.

I remember when I was five and a neighborhood store clerk (the white son of the owner) called me the N-word. I hit him in the head with a rock because I knew it was a bad word because my mother would not allow it to be used in our household. The teenage boy punched me in the head with his fist. He didn't know he hit the son of one of the founding families. Today, there is nothing but an empty field where the store used to be located. No need to discuss the "disturbance" that occurred, but that punch destroyed his father's business.

Where there's smoke there's fire. Other employees were probably aware of the employees racists thoughts and comments so there are probably more racist in that company that need to be weeded out. I find it hard to believe that management didn't know they had racist issues in there company for the past 20 years.
The long term racist employee was terminated and will no doubt be a great example to other employees on what not to do.

The song "Power" (Texas A&M Univ.) is played as the football team entrance piece just prior to kick-off for the AGGIES at Kyle Field. Some are claiming.."yeah, it's racially slurred and profane, but we don't sing the lyrics (progress here as at least some are admitting that racial slurs and profanity are not such a good idea).. But,what if the song contained lyrics promoting cop killing? Or encouraged the resumption of slavery? But were not voiced of course...(at this point some even might believe lyrics are not part of a song-huh?) Would the song remain acceptable? Others have suggested it's OK for a person of color to use these shameful and hurtful slurs...is this not racist in itself? That's a confusing and dangerous road to take. It's not OK. Would Dr. King give his approval? Regardless, the extreme profanity in the song's lyrics should make the decision much easier. IMO, when the song was selected, someone dropped the ball here. Big time. Both the team and fans deserve better than this. It's tradition now, but does that make it any less toxic and inappropriate? Google the lyrics...you'll be shocked.

This is SO sad. Please read the book of Numbers, Chapter 12 in the Bible. Jehovah God showed His attitude toward not only racial prejudice, but also to interracial marriages. Moses wife was a "Cushite" or an Ethiopian woman. Moses own sister Miriam was criticizing Moses on several levels, and used his wife's race, as the reason. Now Miriam was the older sister who helped save Moses as he was adopted by Pharaohs daughter, when Moses was a baby in the basket. She was even instrumental in seeing that Moses mother became the "wet nurse" so to speak, so he could be raised and taught in the Hebrew religion, at the same time being educated in the religion of Egyptian culture. Later, she became an important Prophetess, in Israel. Moses own brother Arron the High Priest joined her in this criticism of Moses wife. Since Miriam was the instigator of this event she, despite her importance in the Nation of Israel suffered the consequences, of using Moses wife's race to criticize her brother.

No. It's more likely they learned this racism in their white church that told them they were special.
Damn, man, even though this man was calm in his delivery, you can tell he is absolutely furious inside.
But he holds onto his integrity and doesn't exacerbate the issue by blowing his top which will only further the pain which will not only be put forth on himself, but his family, and most importantly, the added confusion on his son which he is trying to teach better rather than acting out in rage and violence.
Props to the mother as well for not acting and lashing out, but allowing her man, to put another male in his place, properly. I'm sure it was tough for her not to!
Furthermore, I'm also more than certain that the father isn't no punk and has more than likely had his squabbles in his time, like most of us have. But he's probably grown into being a better man through wisdom and has gotten exhausted of the hate we see in our daily lives and is trying to instill better judgment on and for his kids by being the example.
This is all surmise of course, but you gotta give the benefit of the doubt on how he stood strong and handled it with dignity to convey his message with merit, which was a damn great one at that! OK TIME OUT. Am I missing something?? The video claims to have the employee saying the N word. I've watched the original video ten plus times and the only one I hear saying the N word is the Dad. I could be wrong though but can someone tell me exactly where he says it? Or is it NOT on the video as they claim? I'm trying to understand. Is the video of the part where they ask the man after the incident or is the incident on here as they claim??
