3:32 I used random objects in my home to raise my alarm clock by about 10-12 inches to improve reception when this station did all Christmas music. Those that also did anything to get better reception to this station regardless of the time of year, you are not alone. You brought back a Christmas memory for me (ok more like an early November memory but STILL you know what I mean!) This was my go to every Christmas season. 96.1 FM will take over that tradition but sadly I get ZERO reception on 96.1 FM, even in the car which always had near flawless reception to 102.5 FM regardless of the weather. I live in Burlington Ontario btw. Even when I drove as far as Brampton Ontario 102.5 FM still came through with B+ reception in all weather conditions. 96.1 FM doesnt come through even in Burlington sadly in any weather conditions. Farewell to the station I'll always remember as the best Christmas station. No idea where I'll get Christmas music first 2-3 weeks of November now :/ stations in my area wait til mid/late November to switch...
Damn ...Just went to see if 102.5 started Christmas music and realized it's no longer i will miss it. A tradition in my home to have it playing in the kitchen at the beginning of the season
96.1 is playing holiday tunes. And 98.1 from Toronto started today, if your in the northtowns it's pretty good signal. Southtowns if you have a really good radio.
Actually earlier today at around 7AM they brought the Star 102.5 music back on the audacy app and commercial free. They also announce on the stream that they are on WLKK HD2. I haven't seen any official announcements about it being online. Who knows how long they will have it on though, so enjoy it while it lasts!
i lived 50 miles northeast of Toronto i listened to Rock 102 back in the 70s and 80s. RIP 102.5
