Sorcery is amazing for clearing out mobs, and covering your ass in combat while you melee. It’s definitely not a primary source of damage dealing and I don’t think it’s meant to be.
It provides fantastic utility in different situations. What the one that hits behind the opponent you target. Ambush shard or something. Useful for turtles for sure.
ATM I’m doing a melee focused battle mage build with dark moon great sword, and Astels wing. I think the later will become a menace in pvp eventually tbh.
I’m feeling that sorcery pain, the second tier of glintstone pebble is better than the comet in almost every way, the glintstone pebble lvl2 is 14 or 16 fp and does 320 damage with my staff while comet the “most powerful version” costs 50fp for about 420-435 ish damage. It is more cost efficient to just fire a lower rank spell twice than ever thinking of using the high tier stuff
captain america needs a word with you
Where do you get the shield and what stat does it prior? Is there a specific ashes of war you need?
I don't know the Shield name but it reflects magic. He lit himself in fire with magic so the Shield is constantly active
its the greatshield that the tree sentinels use. if i recall correctly you get it from the 2 tree sentinels in the altus plateau. it has the ability by default.
@@reedworsham5643 Have you killed the Demonic Tree Sentinel and Radahn?
yes
@@reedworsham5643 Could you help me with both? It's my first time with this kind of game and I want go to the capital and I also want his armor
You tough faith was broken wait till you see that crazy bleed build
Tried this in pvp in around lvl 110. Won 11 out of 12. So yeah, this is busted lol.
What r the stats?
You are the worst kind of evil.
how does it stack up versus a full charged rot breath and madness eye beams? Cause I have been one shotting people with that.
@@darschpugs4690 Haven't tried your build but I can tell you this one two-shots people, and since it doesnt use mana for the weapon skill, you can shoot around 14-15 shots before needing to charge stamina again
@@tommc25 oh wow, thats pretty good, Throwing knives are a hard counter to dragon breath incantations since they have such a long wind up and any damage interupts them so this would probably wreck most Dragon Breath users that just spam without thought.
your character should definitely run around looking like Darth Sion from KOTOR 2 from using this tactic the entire time. Super cool idea smart thinking.
I've got this shield today, pretty damn good 👍
May I know how lol
Whereeee
Where did you find that?
Pretty creative actually. Now we can play pong whenever we like.
This is a really creative build. Though I wonder how viable it is against bosses? It might work since you are always blocking. Can you put Barricade Shield on this Shield? The main issue is the massive self DoT. Normal players won't have that much Vigor, and pumping Vigor means you have low damage.
idk how anybody kills bosses as a caster, when i cast my magic they always dodge
@@shranoscryptinity8190 magic glintblade + attack them so they get hit by the magic. casters are extremely OP for most boss fights
@@shranoscryptinity8190 I'm playing a magic user, but mostly:
1: Punish whiffs and catch dodges with fast hitting spells like glintstone pebble
2: Use spells like magic glintblade that have a delay, then fork them into either getting hit by the spell or your melee attack
3: Use spirit summons like wolf pack or demi-humans to split their attention between you and 3-5 other targets
4: Use rock sling for physical damage against targets with high magic resist
I actually just have oleg or mimic summon and they fight the boss while I spam rock sling or azur beam bs and it’s how I’ve killed every boss in the game the only one it doesn’t work on is malenia

Captain America Runs about to pop off!
Magic shield cannons to counter archer & mage units. HOW HAVE I NEVER THOUGHT OF THIS
Literally "So anyways I started blastin"
I see shield builds are very viable this time around.
Ever been playing Elden Ring and thing to yourself, "What if I had a gun?"
i think like the health of the mobs are more broken
Yeah some feel like they have a little too much but most of the time your just under leveled or dont have an upgraded weapon. Thats just me though
i thinks its ng+
There is actually less delay between shots if you keep holding the guard up while shooting, been using this build for 3 out of my 4 journeys so far and its buzzin.
Seems like every build is broken in elden ring(except bows).
just because its viable doesnt mean its broken
No, bows are crazy strong too. But a bit boring to watch.
This dude straight up playing Call of Duty: Fire Punch
please beat the final boss with this. iwanna see if its THAT strong.
Good god. Who needs mana when you’re stamina just comes right back. Crazy cool build!!
Its a simple spell, but quite unbreakable.
Well I Started New Game Plus Yesterday So I Know What Imma Try, Thanks Man!
that epic feel when casuals can't enjoy this when its patched as they slowly go through the game hahaha
That epic feel when you simply enjoy things, rather than inflict your surperiority complex onto others who keep the games you like relevant
@@slayer31397 Doth this upset you tarnished one?
@@krishollow This is why thou art maidenless
You seem like a miserable person.
Someone is salty they couldn’t think of a build like this first 😂
Everyone out here playing a souls game, this guy playing DBFZ.
That shield is amazing. Love the Knight
I really wonder if this was intended lol, this was suppose to be a new way to parry range spells, but inflicting anything that damages you overtime will now trigger said parry whenever you just push the button lol, doesn't even cause any fp
How do you get fires deadly sin? I really want it and can’t seem to find it
I love this shield, used it when i got it and used it ever since people made this build.
You realise it's abuse of a glich right? It's not a build...
This game is giving rise to some of the most insane builds you've ever seen
Well this is taking Shield hero to a whole new level
i would hate to be invaded by that, looks like the most powerful thing in existence
Literally the rage shield from rising of the shield hero. I might try a shield only run this game.
Ah so now you can be the Devil of the Shield.
try the same thing but when you light yourself on fire, use the seppeku ashes of war after, then, those flames turn into blood flames, sooo if you just walk near enemies, burn and blood loss = death
video on how to get the shield and the rest needed for this build ?
what is the skill you launching? Have the same shield it does melee move..
How are people able to have so much health? I’m level 91 and only have probably half of this amount. How high a level would I need to be to get this amount of health even if I pump points into my health attribute?
i made a build with this using the regen talisman and using the bestial regen incantation and it completely negates the damage from the fire incantation. plus if you aren't seeing results with this build upgrade the shield to at least +6, i made that mistake and thought this was fake.
Does the AoW use endurance instead of FP? Or does he have something else on?
so creative love it!
Anyone know the build guide on this? I really want to try this set up
Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2 is lookin good.
Damn this is like the fourth video I've seen about this. The machine gun shield meta has already begun 😱
If "The Rising of the Shield Hero" was a game
Where you get the bandana? Your guy looks like Solid Snake.. I have a samurai named Jin Sakai... need that bandana lol
