He eats friends and enemies alike after they die in his arena but NEVER eats his best friend and horse.
Honestly I really enjoyed Radahn. It was a really epic fight, it felt right out of a book having your small army vs that giant berserker. Sure, it was kinda hard when a hit could either directly kill me or stun me enough to get killed but still, I loved it.
You can literally kill Radahn with just the summons you don’t even have to look at him just run in circles pressing triangle occasionally on summon signs

Quick tip: i recommend attacking an enemy first before using mimic veil because sometimes the healthbar won't spear if you don't attack them and if it won't appear for me i don't get the runes
I'm not too sure about that, cuz I didn't attack em, the healthbars aint showin up, but currently as im sitting here, it's working pretty fine, went from 15k to 21k in a couple minutes so pretty alright so far.
@@_v_m_ that's true, but I found when he starts his attack where he's off his horse is what gives you enough time to apply it with one cast while holding it down. Needed a flask for fp though for 2nd phase. That one you'd probably just want to do the regular hit and run.
Honestly, theres a few things in the world that you can farm for big runes. It all just depends on level as far as i can tell. Theres some banished knights out at the dragon covenant area in Caelid that dropped around 3-4k per kill. I personally can murderfy them in like a hit or two and theres a grace literally right there. I get more off them than the dragon farm
Such a great spot to farm xp and enjoy watching the AI fight itself. Small tip for anyone trying to keep it going head to the bottom of the stairs where the scarlet rot is and if you stop seeing the numbers tick then you’ll have to hit them with an arrow or a spell to get one of them to start taking damage again and it’ll keep going. Similarly you can also just run past them :) Thanks again for this guide!
If you have a melee build, you're safer fighting on foot rather than horseback with him. Outside his charge move on his horse, the majority of his attacks are easily dodged or they whiff because you're hugging his legs/horse.
@@Ellit3Zombies dual wield katanas and longbow with bleed arrows it was literally a 5 minute fight btw if you see a, “samurai!” Message with the by my blade emote around bosses or the end of dungeons it’s probably me.
3:32, I just got on my horse and dodged it that way. Then summoned the last 3 and ran around like your instructions. Worked like a charm! I’m a level 66

If you can get a longer hit off on Radahn in each phase you only need to hit him once per phase with Rotten Breath. Kind of risky, but he has some cooldowns between his huge attacks that you can take advantage of. Or just stand in front of him and blast while eating a hit. Once his health starts dropping you can ride Torrent to safety and just wait for phase change or death.

The breath doesn’t have to be super close it has a decent range you just have to hold down the charge button and you will get him affected after one full breath of course this is risky but if you are skilled enough on running and dodging on your horse should be easy enough and quick tip if you dismount before you know you’re going to take a hit you get a small window of invulnerability and same for mounting up just gotta time it right it’s a more advanced tactic but definitely saved my butt plenty during the radahn fight and you can sit back and range him really good while he’s distracted and ticking away would love to coop or pvp with you Tag love your vids keep em coming!!!!

@@bennettshepard6507 you've got to wait for a good opening like when he does a big combo go behind him and damn near touch his ass then use rot. Make sure you have enough fp as well and that your using a good seal with decent scaling. If that doesn't work lmk I'm constantly trying to find new ways to cheese Radahn
Testing in 1.04 today, this does work but not in the location he specified. For me it works on the ground while cloaked as a mimic, not the stairs. By ground I mean on the level with the four stair cases going up. Rather than going up a stair I stay on that base. The guys spawn there and ignore me and jump down to fight each other in the blood pool. It takes some work to set this up because if the enemies see you move before fully mimicked they will attack you. You have to be fully mimicked before they see you for this to work. And just to be clear I am waiting right next to the enemy spawn point closer to the boss room, as a mimic. Another note is I am able to run almost all the way back to the site of grace to de Aggro enemies if they see me before I can mimic. There, I can mimic myself and then re approach the stage without risking having a newly spawned enemy see me cast mimic. If the numbers disappear, I can shoot an arrow at one of them and it will restart. Sometimes it times out quickly other times it goes on for longer. Also sometimes the only thing needed to restart the numbers is moving around a bit or getting an archer to aggro me. To be honest it’s very inconsistent and not simply AFK farming. At best it’s a multi tasking farm.
As of 1.03 it has lost efficiency. You have to damage the ghosts for them to do any damage to themselves after they respawn. In my testing if the “battle music” fades out and the dungeon ambience kicks in that lets me know it’s not working anymore and I have to poke the spirits with an arrow or something. I find it best to not go in the area he specified in the video, but rather looping around to where the lever for the boss door is. I go to the very end opposite where the ghost archer is and wait for them appear in the bottom hall opening
I actually just tried it today. I had to agro the cleanrot nights down below, then ran and applied the mimic veil. After a while more spawned in and they got to fighting again. No battle music at all.
Found a great spot where the battle seems to be forever. There is a small ramp at the wall where you can stand, lowest level in the middle where you can hide around the corner. Its the place with solid ground and no rotten stuff. I used mimic on that ramp and fight continues forever. You can jump on this ramp from 1nd floor.

For anyone curious, to make the farm easier I check up on it and move closer to where they’re fighting (while staying on the ledge that the video creator shows) to make sure they keep going. It’s been about 30 mins so far and it seems to work
@@Andybiggestfan It does, after 2 days of doing it and shifting my position to closer rather than standing further away it tends to last longer. The estimated time gets you from 5 to 10 mins longer on runes (I know that may not be much but its still more runes). The longest I have had thus far was 45 mins which was nice. The shortest while moving was 17 mins. Longest non-moving 27 mins and shortest was 3 mins. It also depends on luck and where they respawn.
Go back to the cave of knowledge and make your way through the stone key door, when you get all the way to the end where the knight is, the item behind him is a dragon communion seal, increases damage for your dragon communion incantations, and for the people trying to fight him for the first time, at the top of the hill it let me summon in the allies again after they all died
best way for me was to get my weight down to light load... in my case it was no armor, the reduvia dagger in main hand and a crappy light shield in offhand and just get up close and personal with him, those extra immunity frames are wonderful and if you run out of stamina to roll you could take 1 hit with the shield atleast(saved me twice), and we all know how amazing bloodloss is
Wow.. confession time. I have been coding and playing Elden Ring at the same time. This is the most addicting and deepest game I have ever EVER played. Mind you - I despise Dark Souls "hellish mode" games, but I am sold. I have died 1000 times in the game and still ask "for another please". Your tut is a god-send. My recommendation is to kill one of the cleanrot knights first then activate the others. Because they are so prone to falling of you need to voluntarily make the respawn cycle offset for one of the knights so they always respawn before the regular knights otherwise the cleanrot knights will eventually kill all of the regular knights and stick to the lower level where they can’t repeat the aggro process.
@@VirtousStoic my personal experience with this has been roughly every 10 minutes I'll check to see if it needs reset (have to wiggle controller to keep it from going to sleep anyway) ... sometimes it needs reset, sometimes it doesn't ... you won't get as many runes as doing the boulder run, or FOR SURE not as many as the new rune farming in Mohgwyn, but the AFK feature so you can wash dishes, vacuum the living room, cook supper, in my opinion is worth it's weight in gold ... I can't recall how many runes I got doing this the last time, but it was well over 100k after a few resets (best guess of time would be anywhere from a total of 30 minutes to maybe an hour?) ... hope this helps
Without the cheese, for me at least, Radahn was easily one of the hardest from software bosses I’ve ever fought. It don’t know what it was about his attacks, maybe it was the delay and the spells, but even with summons this boss was extremely difficult. Edit: Just fought the Apostlle duo, imo harder then Radahn, but much more bs. Edit 2: After finally beating Melania, I’ve gotta be honest and say the pre-nerf version of Radahn that I fought felt harder, but also more fun.
@@thealarm7057 Yup, unfair just like many other optional bosses in this game. Ulcerated Tree Spirit took me dozens of tries, I eventually had to come back after levelling up. Many other bosses come in pairs sometimes even three of them at once, in a cramped room with the camera working against you, while you try to kill the boss with inaccurate hitboxes. I like this game, but the difficulty scaling just amps up as you progress, and if you don't optimise your build, you're screwed.

@@Astral_Drago yeah but 100+ levels, the game doesn't get tuff again till NG +2 so 2 playthroughs just crushing everything like a regular rpg, but the Elden Ring community feel that 150 is the sweet spot for competitive pvp so it is what it is
I've found that if you crouch on the right corner of the stairs on the left where he is showing (right on the very edge of the ledge), the knights on the upper floor will try to attack you with their spear charge and fall off the ledge into the pit below, which keeps the fighting below you going.
I'm probably not the only person to figure this out, but the Darkness incantation is *really* good for this farm. You can lead new enemies down to the Scarlet Slop area and once they're close to the fray, cast darkness and sneak out. I do this every so often when I notice the action slowing down and it keeps the farm going. It can be a little risky if you're squishy, but it's a bit quicker than the run back to reset, I think.
Was trying so hard to beat him with my twinblades to no avail. Switched to full on sorcery rock slinger(57 int, meteorite) and he disappeared real quick.

There is another safe spot on the broken stairs, where you can drop onto a few stone blocks protruding from the wall and stand on them let sort of in-between floor levels. Also if you want to make more runes faster but don't mind a little hassle, you can stand on the diagonal staircase or in the archway in the middle and wait for the knight to spawn and simply block, counter and CRIT him to sleep. He will spawn again after a few seconds, rinse and repeat and you get 1,4k every 10-15 seconds with golden scarab equipped. And that's on top of the mayhem that's happening underneath.
the breath attack, if you are faith built, will actually demolish his health bar as well, especially if you charge it. I was helping someone in a 2 man version of this (higher boss health) and all it took was 2 fully held breath attacks and Radahn was toast, the friend never even had to move from the starting position except to summon the followers
I got the rotten breath right away before knowing how good it was and let me tell you. I beat Goddrick first try because of this 🤣 its OP and I love it.
I experimented a bit yesterday, and I found that hiding in safe area amongst the rot (just opposite to the bottom landing of a staircase where rot starts) seems to work ok. I wasn't sitting there watching it minute per minute, and my character ended up getting killed at some point, but over that ~45 minute period, it was about 60K runes. It's not a very efficient use of electricity at this point to farm this way, but might not be a bad way for people who haven't done Varre's questline to access the big bird farming location.

OMGGG fighting Radahn with the Rotten Breath was so epic 😂I just defeated him in my fourth attempt and the "Rotten Breath and Run" tactic was suuuuper fun to watch as he kept losing HP and all the spirits were fighting him while I was just riding around the battlefield, watching and laughing my butt off 😄
A year ago ,around the time this video was made I was I was a noob, and just started playing elden ring. As a noob I doubted my builds (still do) and had made it apoint to beat radahn with the cheese and other peoples builds so I could unlock this farm. I beat radahn after 2 weeks... I know this boss fight was easy for most but for me it was hell and all because I doubted myself I only started getting close to beating him when I stopped trying to do The cheese methods. And other peoples builds I gave into myself and tested out what I thought was a cool build at the time (was like a really crappy build now that I look at it) playing the way I wanted to play gave me just enough motivations and moral that on the first try with that crappy build I made I finnaly beat him. So If your having trouble beating redahn dont worry you can do it and dont be afraid to experiment with all sorts of builds you find fun. If your having fun your sure to beat/win. (Oh and to add salt I never use this farm I suck balls when it come to fiddleing with it)
This is very true. My 1st run thru Elden Ring I got pretty far beat many bosses, but even still had lots of doubt. Felt like I kinda had to try & cheese a lot or just got lucky.. Anyways. Lost my PS4 & Games (Which really sucked) But I've gotten Elden Ring again &have started over. For whatever reason, the confidence is their this time & I'm wrecking thru the game NP. Confidence Is Key!! Yes the game can be difficult, but just try & Use up extra runes before facing anything challenging & you really have nothing to loose.

Found out AFK farming pretty early on at the impassable bridge. Just go pull the dog creatures over and the soldiers will fight it out with them for about 5k in 5 mins. Not great but I found it early and liked it.
If you haven't found it yet, the ball cheese at the Lenne's Rise SoG will net you more runes in a shorter amount of time (about 4-8k every minute). Although its not an AFK farm, its a great place to farm runes early, and its easy to get to with the waygate just north of the Third Church of Marika.
@@noobishnemo6745 yeah... That shit doesn't 100% work. I wasted a ton of time trying to do that over and over with about 45% success. The dog fight is faster and guaranteed. If you pull the crow and three other dogs near the road into the fight you'll pull more. Crow brings in over 1700k
@@Saiege it's touchy. You have to be looking at the ball as it goes over the edge and be close to the edge. After you dodge it, circle back around, move back towards the edge, and watch it go over. I got it down to a 99% success rate. Although I had to move on from that farming spot as I got higher leveled.
@@noobishnemo6745 you don't have to watch it. I do it without ever locking on him. I just run half a circle around him and stay in the area till I get the runes, then run up again.
This has been patched. When I try it, you’ll get souls only for the ones you’re physically watching. Been at it for half an hour and got about 15k souls. Not bad, but not working the way the video shows
DS / Elden Ring population seems to be such a warrior club :D Nearly every video assumes you're wearing armor and/or using a shield. I completed this game as a pure glass cannon caster and the arrows of Radahn were the only difficult part, because they oneshot me. But once he stops shooting and gets distracted by your buddies, he's pretty much dead.
for anyone wondering, the cheese works amazing well! I'm terrible at this game but I enjoy exploring and gathering cool items. radahn was a huge roadblock and the cheese saved the day.
@@dankind64 I don't know man that wouldn't be satisfying for me, can't really say you yourself actually beat the game. Abusing game mechanics doesn't really speak about yourself.
There is a little ledge you can jump on from the broken stairs. You can hide from the archer and if you get the right spot the mobs up top will Agro on you and fall down below continuing the loop. Not 100% but usually nets me 100k before being hit by too many random fire pots.
I tried it around 10 times. It seams to always glitch around 20-30k. I don't know if the AI is better on other systems but on my PS4 the AFK method is just not reliable.
I was already a dex/faith build and already had rotten breath (can be used at a short distance if you can't get up on him as down in video). I decided to be reborn and got my vigor up to about 30, and consumed a rune ark just to stay alive! Took me 3 hours but I got him! Currently getting my runes worth by being a tree😏 Update: I Decided to farm by shooting a bolt at big bird underground and it gives me way more runes quicker, especially since this way does stop working for me and they start all standing around after about 10 minutes.
Tried this today while watching the hockey game. Great way to make progress while not really playing. Some times I'd go to reset and have +10k and it needs to be reset. Sometimes I go to check and it's +25k with fights still going on. Just check every 10 minutes or so and good to go! Side note.. leveled from 90 to 98 while watching a hockey game lol

This is the most annoying way to try to get runes in this game. It doesn’t work for more than a minute most times. So you spend way too much time trying to get it to work. They will attack you after a while and when you come back to get the 50k runes that you just spent hours getting, they will kill you way easier than normal just to reset you to 0 runes. Just go shoot a bird for 1 minute and make 3x as much.
Great plan, thank you. I found just respawning your allies is effective, you can avoid getting hit and they do the work for you. And the never farm runes again spot is genius. I find that within 2 min I get approx. 7K runes, and waiting for approx. 10 min I get approx. 13K. Waiting longer than that I find it doesn't work as well. But still brilliant as you actually can set your alarm and do this cheat strategy while, let's say, doing chores around the home.
If you use the Clawmark Seal you only have to hit Radahn once with the breath, at least that was my experience, and my stats were the base of what you need for rot breath and the Seal wasn't upgraded. It does boost bestial incantations, so that might be why. I believe you get it from the beast guy you give the deathroots to in northern Caelid.
One of the hardest bosses trying to fight normally. The way they described him made it sound like he was a push over eating dead bodies. No my boi literally 400 IQ 800 credit score owns a private island and never misses his appointments at the hair salon.
@bossyobro they don't need to multiplayer. Also I heard co-op is based to lowest level of player in game, so if anything a player with 999 levels gets nerfed down. What help does a 999 need anyways, its hundreds of thousands HP? Worst case an op player has every item easy, and it doesn't matter when people run 1 shot builds that already exist

WHILE FIGHTING RADAHN... You only need to hit him with rotten breath 2 times total. 1 hit with the rotten breath will take him down to half health. The second one after he enters phase 2 and you will win. It takes about 2 minutes each phase. Hold it down for the whole amount of your fp
Using a Gold-Pickled Fowl Foot will increase your rune farm even more!!! It stacks with the Gold Scarab buff!!! (You can easily craft these using commonly found mats and your kit)

I found if you have the Roar Medallion (which buffs roar, and breath attacks), you only need one good blast of Rotten Breath to trigger scarlet rot. Phase 1 can be hectic, but is doable. Phase 2 is a bloody nightmare, and I found the only way I could get an opening was to be lucky and wind up close by to where he lands from his big meteoring transition into Phase 2,andhit him with a bull blast of breath while he's still standing up, then high tail it outta there.

Theres actually an easier to reach farm that can generate way more runes, only thing is you gotta manually kill the enemies in an area, but two passes, which took me less than 5-10 minutes got me over 100k runes, without a golden claw consumable buff mind you. All ima say is go check out the blood mausoleum area ;)
Thanks! Very thorough walkthrough on this boss (I already beat him but this is cool seeing a different strategy). Also, excited to see if this works better than the "big bird" method which is starting to get inefficient (it's now requiring me a whopping 200K in runes to level up after grinding away at ball + big bird for many hours).

Honestly, theres a few things in the world that you can farm for big runes. It all just depends on level as far as i can tell. Theres some banished knights out at the dragon covenant area in Caelid that dropped around 3-4k per kill. I personally can murderfy them in like a hit or two and theres a grace literally right there. I get more off them than the dragon farm

Such a great spot to farm xp and enjoy watching the AI fight itself. Small tip for anyone trying to keep it going head to the bottom of the stairs where the scarlet rot is and if you stop seeing the numbers tick then you’ll have to hit them with an arrow or a spell to get one of them to start taking damage again and it’ll keep going. Similarly you can also just run past them :)

If you have a melee build, you're safer fighting on foot rather than horseback with him. Outside his charge move on his horse, the majority of his attacks are easily dodged or they whiff because you're hugging his legs/horse.
Fun fact: Radahn takes bleed damage. Bleed damage does %max health damage. 4-5 bleed procs ends the fight. Do with that info what you will.
Playing samurai my first play through and one shot this boss. The Npcs just make it so easy to apply bleeds.
This boss died from bloodloss after a few good flailings :)

@@Ellit3Zombies dual wield katanas and longbow with bleed arrows it was literally a 5 minute fight btw if you see a, “samurai!” Message with the by my blade emote around bosses or the end of dungeons it’s probably me.

If you use the Dragon Communion Seal it will boost rotten breath
If you can get a longer hit off on Radahn in each phase you only need to hit him once per phase with Rotten Breath. Kind of risky, but he has some cooldowns between his huge attacks that you can take advantage of. Or just stand in front of him and blast while eating a hit. Once his health starts dropping you can ride Torrent to safety and just wait for phase change or death.

The breath doesn’t have to be super close it has a decent range you just have to hold down the charge button and you will get him affected after one full breath of course this is risky but if you are skilled enough on running and dodging on your horse should be easy enough and quick tip if you dismount before you know you’re going to take a hit you get a small window of invulnerability and same for mounting up just gotta time it right it’s a more advanced tactic but definitely saved my butt plenty during the radahn fight and you can sit back and range him really good while he’s distracted and ticking away would love to coop or pvp with you Tag love your vids keep em coming!!!!

@@bennettshepard6507 you've got to wait for a good opening like when he does a big combo go behind him and damn near touch his ass then use rot. Make sure you have enough fp as well and that your using a good seal with decent scaling. If that doesn't work lmk I'm constantly trying to find new ways to cheese Radahn

Testing in 1.04 today, this does work but not in the location he specified. For me it works on the ground while cloaked as a mimic, not the stairs. By ground I mean on the level with the four stair cases going up. Rather than going up a stair I stay on that base. The guys spawn there and ignore me and jump down to fight each other in the blood pool.
It takes some work to set this up because if the enemies see you move before fully mimicked they will attack you. You have to be fully mimicked before they see you for this to work.
And just to be clear I am waiting right next to the enemy spawn point closer to the boss room, as a mimic.
Another note is I am able to run almost all the way back to the site of grace to de Aggro enemies if they see me before I can mimic. There, I can mimic myself and then re approach the stage without risking having a newly spawned enemy see me cast mimic.
If the numbers disappear, I can shoot an arrow at one of them and it will restart. Sometimes it times out quickly other times it goes on for longer.
Also sometimes the only thing needed to restart the numbers is moving around a bit or getting an archer to aggro me.
To be honest it’s very inconsistent and not simply AFK farming. At best it’s a multi tasking farm.

As of 1.03 it has lost efficiency. You have to damage the ghosts for them to do any damage to themselves after they respawn. In my testing if the “battle music” fades out and the dungeon ambience kicks in that lets me know it’s not working anymore and I have to poke the spirits with an arrow or something. I find it best to not go in the area he specified in the video, but rather looping around to where the lever for the boss door is. I go to the very end opposite where the ghost archer is and wait for them appear in the bottom hall opening

I actually just tried it today. I had to agro the cleanrot nights down below, then ran and applied the mimic veil. After a while more spawned in and they got to fighting again. No battle music at all.
You don't have to damage them, you just have to get close to them while they are fighting.
Found a great spot where the battle seems to be forever. There is a small ramp at the wall where you can stand, lowest level in the middle where you can hide around the corner. Its the place with solid ground and no rotten stuff. I used mimic on that ramp and fight continues forever. You can jump on this ramp from 1nd floor.
On 1.06 it just works, dunno. I can get runes by doing 0 attacks at all.

For anyone curious, to make the farm easier I check up on it and move closer to where they’re fighting (while staying on the ledge that the video creator shows) to make sure they keep going. It’s been about 30 mins so far and it seems to work

@@Andybiggestfan It does, after 2 days of doing it and shifting my position to closer rather than standing further away it tends to last longer. The estimated time gets you from 5 to 10 mins longer on runes (I know that may not be much but its still more runes). The longest I have had thus far was 45 mins which was nice. The shortest while moving was 17 mins. Longest non-moving 27 mins and shortest was 3 mins. It also depends on luck and where they respawn.

Go back to the cave of knowledge and make your way through the stone key door, when you get all the way to the end where the knight is, the item behind him is a dragon communion seal, increases damage for your dragon communion incantations, and for the people trying to fight him for the first time, at the top of the hill it let me summon in the allies again after they all died
best way for me was to get my weight down to light load... in my case it was no armor, the reduvia dagger in main hand and a crappy light shield in offhand and just get up close and personal with him, those extra immunity frames are wonderful and if you run out of stamina to roll you could take 1 hit with the shield atleast(saved me twice), and we all know how amazing bloodloss is

Wow.. confession time. I have been coding and playing Elden Ring at the same time. This is the most addicting and deepest game I have ever EVER played. Mind you - I despise Dark Souls "hellish mode" games, but I am sold. I have died 1000 times in the game and still ask "for another please". Your tut is a god-send. My recommendation is to kill one of the cleanrot knights first then activate the others. Because they are so prone to falling of you need to voluntarily make the respawn cycle offset for one of the knights so they always respawn before the regular knights otherwise the cleanrot knights will eventually kill all of the regular knights and stick to the lower level where they can’t repeat the aggro process.
which ones are the cleanrot knights? the ones downstairs?
@@spacecase22 Yes, however there are two that spawn by default upstairs. Cleanrot knights you can distinguish by their tall spears and flowing manes.

@@VirtousStoic my personal experience with this has been roughly every 10 minutes I'll check to see if it needs reset (have to wiggle controller to keep it from going to sleep anyway) ... sometimes it needs reset, sometimes it doesn't ... you won't get as many runes as doing the boulder run, or FOR SURE not as many as the new rune farming in Mohgwyn, but the AFK feature so you can wash dishes, vacuum the living room, cook supper, in my opinion is worth it's weight in gold ... I can't recall how many runes I got doing this the last time, but it was well over 100k after a few resets (best guess of time would be anywhere from a total of 30 minutes to maybe an hour?) ... hope this helps

Without the cheese, for me at least, Radahn was easily one of the hardest from software bosses I’ve ever fought. It don’t know what it was about his attacks, maybe it was the delay and the spells, but even with summons this boss was extremely difficult.
Edit: Just fought the Apostlle duo, imo harder then Radahn, but much more bs.
Edit 2: After finally beating Melania, I’ve gotta be honest and say the pre-nerf version of Radahn that I fought felt harder, but also more fun.
It wasn't hard or difficult, it was pretty much just unfair bullshit.
@@thealarm7057 Yup, unfair just like many other optional bosses in this game. Ulcerated Tree Spirit took me dozens of tries, I eventually had to come back after levelling up. Many other bosses come in pairs sometimes even three of them at once, in a cramped room with the camera working against you, while you try to kill the boss with inaccurate hitboxes. I like this game, but the difficulty scaling just amps up as you progress, and if you don't optimise your build, you're screwed.

@@Astral_Drago yeah but 100+ levels, the game doesn't get tuff again till NG +2 so 2 playthroughs just crushing everything like a regular rpg, but the Elden Ring community feel that 150 is the sweet spot for competitive pvp so it is what it is
I've found that if you crouch on the right corner of the stairs on the left where he is showing (right on the very edge of the ledge), the knights on the upper floor will try to attack you with their spear charge and fall off the ledge into the pit below, which keeps the fighting below you going.
I'm probably not the only person to figure this out, but the Darkness incantation is *really* good for this farm. You can lead new enemies down to the Scarlet Slop area and once they're close to the fray, cast darkness and sneak out. I do this every so often when I notice the action slowing down and it keeps the farm going.
It can be a little risky if you're squishy, but it's a bit quicker than the run back to reset, I think.
I don't know why people complaining about fighting radahn, i didn't even fought him, i just revived all dead summons and let them fight 😂😂

There is another safe spot on the broken stairs, where you can drop onto a few stone blocks protruding from the wall and stand on them let sort of in-between floor levels.
Also if you want to make more runes faster but don't mind a little hassle, you can stand on the diagonal staircase or in the archway in the middle and wait for the knight to spawn and simply block, counter and CRIT him to sleep. He will spawn again after a few seconds, rinse and repeat and you get 1,4k every 10-15 seconds with golden scarab equipped. And that's on top of the mayhem that's happening underneath.

the breath attack, if you are faith built, will actually demolish his health bar as well, especially if you charge it. I was helping someone in a 2 man version of this (higher boss health) and all it took was 2 fully held breath attacks and Radahn was toast, the friend never even had to move from the starting position except to summon the followers
I got the rotten breath right away before knowing how good it was and let me tell you. I beat Goddrick first try because of this 🤣 its OP and I love it.

I experimented a bit yesterday, and I found that hiding in safe area amongst the rot (just opposite to the bottom landing of a staircase where rot starts) seems to work ok. I wasn't sitting there watching it minute per minute, and my character ended up getting killed at some point, but over that ~45 minute period, it was about 60K runes. It's not a very efficient use of electricity at this point to farm this way, but might not be a bad way for people who haven't done Varre's questline to access the big bird farming location.

OMGGG fighting Radahn with the Rotten Breath was so epic 😂I just defeated him in my fourth attempt and the "Rotten Breath and Run" tactic was suuuuper fun to watch as he kept losing HP and all the spirits were fighting him while I was just riding around the battlefield, watching and laughing my butt off 😄
after entering the room with the battle you can go immediatly right into the far corner to spawn an archer above as well.

A year ago ,around the time this video was made I was I was a noob, and just started playing elden ring.
As a noob I doubted my builds (still do) and had made it apoint to beat radahn with the cheese and other peoples builds so I could unlock this farm.
I beat radahn after 2 weeks... I know this boss fight was easy for most but for me it was hell and all because I doubted myself I only started getting close to beating him when I stopped trying to do The cheese methods. And other peoples builds
I gave into myself and tested out what I thought was a cool build at the time (was like a really crappy build now that I look at it) playing the way I wanted to play gave me just enough motivations and moral that on the first try with that crappy build I made I finnaly beat him.
So
If your having trouble beating redahn dont worry you can do it and dont be afraid to experiment with all sorts of builds you find fun. If your having fun your sure to beat/win.
(Oh and to add salt I never use this farm I suck balls when it come to fiddleing with it)
This is very true. My 1st run thru Elden Ring I got pretty far beat many bosses, but even still had lots of doubt. Felt like I kinda had to try & cheese a lot or just got lucky..

Thankfully I just beat this boss yesterday, so I’m gonna take full advantage of this right away.
Found out AFK farming pretty early on at the impassable bridge. Just go pull the dog creatures over and the soldiers will fight it out with them for about 5k in 5 mins. Not great but I found it early and liked it.
If you haven't found it yet, the ball cheese at the Lenne's Rise SoG will net you more runes in a shorter amount of time (about 4-8k every minute). Although its not an AFK farm, its a great place to farm runes early, and its easy to get to with the waygate just north of the Third Church of Marika.
@@noobishnemo6745 yeah... That shit doesn't 100% work. I wasted a ton of time trying to do that over and over with about 45% success. The dog fight is faster and guaranteed. If you pull the crow and three other dogs near the road into the fight you'll pull more. Crow brings in over 1700k
@@Saiege it's touchy. You have to be looking at the ball as it goes over the edge and be close to the edge. After you dodge it, circle back around, move back towards the edge, and watch it go over.
I got it down to a 99% success rate.
Although I had to move on from that farming spot as I got higher leveled.
@@noobishnemo6745 you don't have to watch it. I do it without ever locking on him. I just run half a circle around him and stay in the area till I get the runes, then run up again.

This has been patched. When I try it, you’ll get souls only for the ones you’re physically watching. Been at it for half an hour and got about 15k souls. Not bad, but not working the way the video shows

DS / Elden Ring population seems to be such a warrior club :D Nearly every video assumes you're wearing armor and/or using a shield. I completed this game as a pure glass cannon caster and the arrows of Radahn were the only difficult part, because they oneshot me. But once he stops shooting and gets distracted by your buddies, he's pretty much dead.

for anyone wondering, the cheese works amazing well! I'm terrible at this game but I enjoy exploring and gathering cool items. radahn was a huge roadblock and the cheese saved the day.
Maybe you could just get better instead of trying to cheese. At this point I doubt you'll be able to even beat the game.

There is a little ledge you can jump on from the broken stairs. You can hide from the archer and if you get the right spot the mobs up top will Agro on you and fall down below continuing the loop. Not 100% but usually nets me 100k before being hit by too many random fire pots.
I tried it around 10 times. It seams to always glitch around 20-30k. I don't know if the AI is better on other systems but on my PS4 the AFK method is just not reliable.

This no longer works. After a few thousand, the runes stop coming.
I was already a dex/faith build and already had rotten breath (can be used at a short distance if you can't get up on him as down in video). I decided to be reborn and got my vigor up to about 30, and consumed a rune ark just to stay alive! Took me 3 hours but I got him! Currently getting my runes worth by being a tree😏
Update: I Decided to farm by shooting a bolt at big bird underground and it gives me way more runes quicker, especially since this way does stop working for me and they start all standing around after about 10 minutes.

Tried this today while watching the hockey game. Great way to make progress while not really playing. Some times I'd go to reset and have +10k and it needs to be reset. Sometimes I go to check and it's +25k with fights still going on. Just check every 10 minutes or so and good to go!
Side note.. leveled from 90 to 98 while watching a hockey game lol

This is the most annoying way to try to get runes in this game. It doesn’t work for more than a minute most times. So you spend way too much time trying to get it to work. They will attack you after a while and when you come back to get the 50k runes that you just spent hours getting, they will kill you way easier than normal just to reset you to 0 runes. Just go shoot a bird for 1 minute and make 3x as much.
not as efficient as the bird farm, but definitely worth unlocking, afk rune farms are always super useful

Great plan, thank you. I found just respawning your allies is effective, you can avoid getting hit and they do the work for you. And the never farm runes again spot is genius. I find that within 2 min I get approx. 7K runes, and waiting for approx. 10 min I get approx. 13K. Waiting longer than that I find it doesn't work as well. But still brilliant as you actually can set your alarm and do this cheat strategy while, let's say, doing chores around the home.

If you use the Clawmark Seal you only have to hit Radahn once with the breath, at least that was my experience, and my stats were the base of what you need for rot breath and the Seal wasn't upgraded. It does boost bestial incantations, so that might be why. I believe you get it from the beast guy you give the deathroots to in northern Caelid.

One of the hardest bosses trying to fight normally. The way they described him made it sound like he was a push over eating dead bodies. No my boi literally 400 IQ 800 credit score owns a private island and never misses his appointments at the hair salon.

I love how everyone thought rahdan was super hard, he was pretty easy with a magic build compared to other bosses, thanks for the great farming spot!
The most recent patch made his attacks a lot more survivable, though he can still be a pain to kill.
I have a strength build and he was easy asf, I just constantly summoned and hit him like three times he was dead within the minute

@bossyobro they don't need to multiplayer. Also I heard co-op is based to lowest level of player in game, so if anything a player with 999 levels gets nerfed down.

Also funny thing if you summon patches during rahdan fight he immediately says nope and leaves you there.
WHILE FIGHTING RADAHN... You only need to hit him with rotten breath 2 times total. 1 hit with the rotten breath will take him down to half health. The second one after he enters phase 2 and you will win. It takes about 2 minutes each phase. Hold it down for the whole amount of your fp
Using a Gold-Pickled Fowl Foot will increase your rune farm even more!!! It stacks with the Gold Scarab buff!!! (You can easily craft these using commonly found mats and your kit)
Using that at the deep roots farm. Getting almost 11k every 10 seconds
It only lasts for ~5 mins, not really that good for afk farming

i just used a glitch to kill Mohg. With gold scarab and fowl foot, i got 650k runes
I found if you have the Roar Medallion (which buffs roar, and breath attacks), you only need one good blast of Rotten Breath to trigger scarlet rot. Phase 1 can be hectic, but is doable. Phase 2 is a bloody nightmare, and I found the only way I could get an opening was to be lucky and wind up close by to where he lands from his big meteoring transition into Phase 2,andhit him with a bull blast of breath while he's still standing up, then high tail it outta there.
From what I've read on the wiki the roar medallion doesn't buff dragon invocations. Granted the wiki can always be wrong, but figured I'd bring it up

You can also use the Serpent Bow, Poison Arrows (Fletched) and Arrows Reach Talisman. Took a few tries but I didnt have to get close to him at least.

everyone must be doing something wrong because this still works today and it keeps farming. people are saying that its not really an afk farm but i could leave it here for 30 min come back and im still getting runes. Thanks for the video

Theres actually an easier to reach farm that can generate way more runes, only thing is you gotta manually kill the enemies in an area, but two passes, which took me less than 5-10 minutes got me over 100k runes, without a golden claw consumable buff mind you. All ima say is go check out the blood mausoleum area

Thanks! Very thorough walkthrough on this boss (I already beat him but this is cool seeing a different strategy). Also, excited to see if this works better than the "big bird" method which is starting to get inefficient (it's now requiring me a whopping 200K in runes to level up after grinding away at ball + big bird for many hours).
I can't freaking believe they put a door to a cave that far in the boss arena that's already vast. Liked
In the current patch I can get 500k runes in about 20 minutes but it’s not afk

step 2) go to war dead catacombs (top of the beach)
step 3) sneak past the ghosts and up the stairs past the area they're fighting in.
step 4) wait.
step 5) profit.
There. Just saved you about 9 minutes.
