  • We’re reviewing the Trakke Largo Sling, a classy 6L sling with tons of organization, bright internal liner, premium materials, and a contoured shape that hugs the body. Yet, I am still a little torn about it!

    I just bought this in olive since I already have a Bannoch, Kelso and Banana in black. I absolutely love this brand and this thing was winking at me since it was released. I got the others for specific needs but there was a middle empty spot in my carry game, I needed something not as big as the bannoch but bigger than the banana and Kelso. This thing seems perfect and only time will tell if it was the right choice but honestly anything Trakke is the right choice, such quality everything. I just wanna touch their products for a while before actually using them if that makes any sense lmao. I also got an Arkaig for a middle sized bag and now I won't be able to eat for a month but hey! This is a life long investment. You can just feel this things might outlast you! Hope my grandchildren still have a shot with this bags hahaha. Great reviews, I appreciate the honesty even when you love the brand, it's important to point the little details so the reviews are actually helpful, like this one. I'll throw some feedback once I use my Largo for a while. Peace!

      I agree! Trakke stuff is awesome. For a while I felt like I just needed to get the whole Trakke lineup and call it a day. I hope you like the Largo, it’s definitely a sling that is a nice in between with the Bannoch and the Banana. Would love to hear how you get on with it after some use. Also, thanks for the kind words, I appreciate it.

      @@ofthetraveler Ok, so now I gave my Largo a week of good use in my normal EDC tasks and tbh it works just fine for me. I don't have a problem with the wasted space since I have many small things that can fit in those corners, also since the bag is so well made and sturdy I just feel everything is safe inside. I feel is one of the better built slings I have and I'm hoping to give it a lot of use from now on. I understand the issues that you talked about but as you said those might be niche cases and in my personal case they're not a real problem. The packable issue might be my main concern if I get to take it with me on a trip and I need to put it inside another bag but tbh I like it so much that I don't mind at all. Peace!

      @@laeonflux I am glad to hear this! Awesome. Thanks for sharing your experience with it. With some proper maintenance, that thing will last you a very long time. I reproof my Trakke stuff once a year with their reproofing spray.

    Got this one in black and its my favourite sling I own, maybe even my favourite bag. Good review!

    Great review, appreciated the detail feed back of the pro’s and cons of the Trakke Largo….Debating between this one and the Bellroy Venture sling.

    • @ofthetraveler
      @ofthetraveler  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Mike, I ended up with the Bellroy Venture for the simple reason that right now with having a young daughter, I need the sling to be able to pack down small into my one-bag travel back. The Largo isn’t good for this. Otherwise, I would have kept it.

    I’ve never seen anyone give a Trakke product a bad review. I think they need to go on my “someday” list.

      Yeah, JC. Trakke is great stuff made by good people. Their Black Friday sale is still going on if you want to check that out.
      They also recently started a program to re/upcycle old product for discounts towards new stuff. It’s kinda cool.

    Pretty sure those straps on the bottom are for the cross-body strap. I'm 99% sure I've moved the cobra cross body strap from my Wee Lug to their and it worked.

    • @ofthetraveler
      @ofthetraveler  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That makes a lot of sense. I’ve personally never used a stabilizer strap on a sling. How do you like that Wee Lug?

    I’ve had this for a few days now and it’s been an absolute delight. I needed something to carry my 11” iPad Pro, and even when it’s packed out I almost forget that I’m wearing it.
    Build quality is just a level above the other slings, and the comfort/fit cannot be beat. It feels smaller than it looks when worn because it stays close to the body.

    Is the bag a pet hair magnet?

    • @ofthetraveler
      @ofthetraveler  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      that’s a great question. I don’t personally have any pets, but around the community I’ve not heard complaints about Trakke’s dry wax finished materials attracting hair. I recently took the Bannoch, which is the same material, to Switzerland, and nothing stuck to the exterior. I think you’ll be good. Cordura is usually the fabric that gets a lot of hair, and this is not that.
