Thank you, this is precisely the in-depth comparison I wanted after I ruled out the mini and the smaller venture. You did a fantastic job highlighting the organizational differences, far better than Bellroy’s own site. I think the pocket set up makes 9L the clear winner, and I’d even take the 6L venture over the slightly larger original/lite just because I’d be better organized.
Probably the most inportant difference between the Venture Sling, as well as the Lite Sling, as opposed to the original sling is the how the Venture Slings open much wider, making access to the main compartment much easier. Also, you didn't mention the 6l Venture when speaking about how the 9l Venture might be too big for some people.
I've been using the original sling is a litre smaller than the Venture Sling 6L. I'm just trying to imagine how much less the 6L can carry; I wouldn't pack put the original sling too much, but the capacity is handy. On the other hand, the Venture 9L has a lot of useful capacity but might be a little large for every day carry.
Really good review. Thank you, it was very helpful. I actually bought the light sling, however, maybe if I had seen your review prior to my purchase, I may have tried te Venture.. Thank you again and All The Best!
@@eladbari Initially, I thought I wanted a larger bag. However, after using this light one, I've grown to like it very much. There's no need for a larger bag now! I'm eager to watch more of your videos. You do an excellent job explaining things. Thank YOU!
Thought the Lite model would be a good solution to throw in your backpack and use it before flights to place a couple of lenses (Canon 24-70 2.8 etc.) to take off some weight as a fanny pack usually isn't considered a personal item. Yet, not sure if the Lite can carry 2-3kg. Especially with this magnetic buckle which probably needs gluing (there's no real use to hood/unhook it so fast). Would you say the Lite model could withstand storing such weight?
I would love to purchase a venture in white just as the lite version. Just visited their site, only the midnight color is available. I also hope you coild have shown us wearing the slings loaded. Thank you for the comparo.
Awesome stop motion on how much stuff you can fit inside and having a water bottle fit in each! Quick question, what was the size (ml and dimensions if possible) on that blue bottle you had fit in the Lite Sling 7L? Honestly, I'd want the 9L but being a smaller guy, it might be too large for me 😅😂
Great presentation! I have the 9L and really like it. Just want to mention that I always want to know the max length the strap is, fully extended, and it's for some reason practically never mentioned in spec section or reviews. Pls add that to your future videos.
I'm trying to figure out if the OG sling could fit a 740ml Larq Water Bottle. I would prefer the OG over the venture for the compact size but I want to carry the water bottle
@@Joshua88Graham I have a tomtoc which is def nice I was looking at bellroy cssie I'm such a big fan but I need something with a bunch of little pockets for organization
Is the Bellroy Lite suitable for day hiking on wilderness trails? What's your sling recommendation for someone who wants to use it for urban + wilderness pursuits equally?
Venture sling mini premium should be their next release. Been using the venture and it’s too big for everyday use, also wouldn’t mind even more organizational pockets.
Thanks for the video Josh. Thorough. Quick question: When you walk with the Venture on your back do you ever feel your arms hitting the bag at all (I'm 6'3" 205 lbs so a little bigger than you)?
Hey there Rob! Thanks for stopping by, really glad you found the video helpful. For myself I haven’t really had an issue with the Venture hitting my arms when it’s on the back. I guess the size of your back will play a role, as everyone’s is a bit different. I have a 42 chest, just to give you an idea of my upper body size. And my back is a little bigger than most peoples my range. So I think for you, being a bit bigger than me (I’m guessing your chest will be the same size or bigger at the very least) you should be okay if you choose to have the Venture worn on your back. Hope that helps brother! Anything else just let me know.
you mean around the waist like a fanny pack ?? ive only seen it sling style its a lil big so it probabaly wont fit good and hard to adjust like that its made for shoulder use.
The Venture and Lite have the same text written under the specification-section on their bellroy site. Bellroy would not go for an aquaguard-zipper if the fabric is not water resistant :)
Don't think so. It can very snuggly fir my iPad Air 4 with Apple Pencil and case. I'm talking about the 9L Venture which is the largest featured in this video
Another great video - Currently my daily is the Venture Sling in the Bronze which I love - I have been using this as my cycling bag to be honest - which generally sees it hold my Tactica Bike Tool, Memobottle Slim with Mandarin Sleeve, Bose Sports Buds, AirPods Pro and Card Pocket by Bellroy. It's a great cycling solution but the Lite is seeming to be a solid contender for cycling do you think a Memobottle Slim would fit in the lite sling?
@@Joshua88Graham thank you for your reply, I have already got the venture sling 6L for 2 weeks now, I am happy with the size as an extented pocket, love the quality and organisations. Looking forward to more of your reviews!

BEST video I could find explaining the difference of these bags!
thank you buddy, this was the only video I was looking for, cheers. going with venture 9L.
Good comparison, I think that the Lite is water resistant though. At least this is what they say on their website.

The 9L is not that big. The 6L might be too small.

I ended up picking up the venture based on your review. Thanks my dude! You should be paid a commission.
Thanks. After After watching this I will go for lite sling after all.
Great review, purchased venture sling ecopak, turn out looks like overkill lite version, still looks good wish had more internal pockets.
Really good review. Thank you, it was very helpful. I actually bought the light sling, however, maybe if I had seen your review prior to my purchase, I may have tried te Venture.. Thank you again and All The Best!
Same to you Deborah! All the best to you and yours in the new year and thanks for taking a moment to comment. Very much appreciated
But why the venture?

I think lite is water resistant:
a. Made from plastic water bottles
b. Why use aqua guard if the other parts of bag is not water resistant?

I hate that for some strange reason, they decided to remove that magnetic buckle in Bellroy Venture
Thanks for the vid, mate! Pretty informative.

Could the 9L sling work as a crossbody bag? Or is the shoulder strap to short for that?
you mean around the waist like a fanny pack ?? ive only seen it sling style its a lil big so it probabaly wont fit good and hard to adjust like that its made for shoulder use.
I'll go with the more versatile Venture Sling 😉
does the strap material affect the usability of the bag?
