When you really keep busy your opponent with multi tasking, they make mistake at some point. I love this kind of making them keep busy they with some point while killing villagers, it mostly work 💯

thank you for your guide. What I don't understand is how you stall the game by harassing the gold early. If scouted by the opponent he can just mine the gold in time, make a tower on age up and then redestribute villagers anyway while your feudal push is delayed. So what I think how this works is to cause idle time and to test players on how well they can macro under pressure and hope they are long enough preoccupied with securing their base, rather than taking map control
i mean, you couldve also gone for fc and already built the landmark while he cant possibly kill you with 2 spears and 1 archers at 7:30, so why bother making units or fighting in feudal?
That is the whole point of the build. To create a delay and win through military numbers. If you choose to go castle, it’ll be the best thing to do in some scenarios, and others not so much. The game can be played out in different ways, but against civs like delhi, you find more success in keeping them in their base and denying them ss and resources
From my experience its totally pointless because by the time the first spearman arrives to their gold they already have enough gold to age up and youre gonna be pushed back
@@Valdemar1902 you cant deny wood tho and its so early they still have sheep and dont have to leave their base to create a bunch of units to push you back. ootd eco is dogshit early on and any civ can outproduce them
It's not about delaying the age up. French for example want to have gold as soon as they hit age2. By hitting the gold mine they hit age2 with less than 100g
This is so much easier to do with HRE, than OTD. OTD is too slow and one mistake, you can get your ass handed to you with this strat. With HRE you don’t even have to go for boar, farms alone are enough.

Yeah I think what I've seen is just ignoring the spears, put more on gold and pull them away one by one as they get damaged

In my experience the resource denial and time delay is invaluable to create tempo.
