Hello, THANK YOU for this nice POV Ride! No stupid V-max only ....... yes, i like this old Lexus style! Maybe i will "upgrade" from fantastic 2004 Prius with 253.000km on the ODO, no repair except worn parts like Brake, Suspension, rear exhaust. Also i like the consumption of only 3,9 to 4,7. Think the big RX 400h needs some more ..... hm? Greets!
Wow, there is no "check" system at all for this 20 years old Lexus RX400h. I am thinking of getting one myself this year. Is this still reliable in 2024? Any major problems occurring?
No in my opinion, no major issues. The build quality of these cars is really so incredibly good. I recently drove a RAV4 from the same period, had driven over 330 thousand kilometres, but performed perfectly. Even buttons didn't wear out at that mileage. The cliche about Japanese cars is really true. In build quality, they are absolutely supreme.
Read about Engine Head or Cylinder Head in that model. I almost bought this Rx400h, it's economical, best gearbox on planet undestructable one, but the main issue are those Engine Heads. For those who use Gas Installation system it's a common issue and very expensive. And that's why I've bought 2010 Honda CRV 3 gen. It's more economical and also reliable but unfortunately not as good as Lexus. Lexus in one league above Honda in terms of quality and comfort.

Thank you! Yes the Lexus will consume a bit more, but reliability is totally fine. Toyota and Lexus are virtually indestructible.
