No in my opinion, no major issues. The build quality of these cars is really so incredibly good. I recently drove a RAV4 from the same period, had driven over 330 thousand kilometres, but performed perfectly. Even buttons didn't wear out at that mileage. The cliche about Japanese cars is really true. In build quality, they are absolutely supreme.

Yes, that V8 sounds like music to the ears! The colour was indeed very nice.

Ja, ze hebben allemaal een verzinkte carrosserie, over het algemeen geen spoor van roest te vinden. Redelijke exemplaren voor onder de 2k zijn er eigenlijk niet meer, ze worden steeds schaarser. Misschien in Duitsland kijken?

I have to admit that during the drive, I couldn't quite put my finger on what was causing it. Sometimes it would shift up and down, at other times it would not. I will check again with the owner.

The cabin noise is fine, even for some longer journeys. I don't think it is very different from a Honda Accord. What does make a difference is probably the tyres. Under a Land Cruiser are more likely to be off-road tyres and these are of course a lot noisier than tyres for the highway.

Yes some like the serenity in electric cars, others find it too clinical. You do hear all kinds of sounds that you never hear otherwise, or at least less, like indeed fingers going over the steering wheel. And so during the recordings I have to take extra care not to breathe too hard through my nose, because you can hear that in the background.... 😅

Maybe not as a daily driver, but certainly one to have on the side as a hobby car. It is very easy to tinker with, and parts are still widely available through the official Audi Tradition Shop. But of course, it lacks comfort and safety compared to today's cars.

That's the automatic gearbox that shifts like that, the 360 is quite a nervous car, so manual shifting with a lot of revs wasn't something I was too keen on, didn't want to cause any Richard Hammond-like situations 😅

The fuel gauge was broken, there was more than enough petrol left 😀 And yes, the 205 GTI really is a legendary classic!
