Hi Craig Don't worry to about the peace payments. In any case your economy will balance in a few turns. Continue to explore the swamp (the eastern half of the map) before crossing the mountains to fight the dwarf. There are few more cities and quests you can complete to gain more money and units. The dwarf is well fortified so go west with large forces. you can give Sundren the calvary and pike units so they will benefit from infiltration squad. Swarm darters are excellent range units (if you can keep them alive), use them. The mode you are using also have a very long range T3 archer unit (Hive Gunner) which will be verry useful in siege combats. Is you are struggling with cash you can dismiss some unnecessary units (you don't need all the untouchables, keep 1 or 2 for digging later, and the marauders are also kind of useless). Remember that goblin units can heal extra life on wetlands if needed. If you can research "exalted martyr" early try to evolve your martyr to exalted. he will be very good unit in sieges. You can actually win the scenario without recruiting a single unit. Just the units you get from the early quests, and convert/charm, But it is more fun to use the theocrat class units even if it take a little longer. If you are building units in your goblin cities consider hiring a builder to make roads to improve mobility. The goblin crusaders are an excellent cheap melee unit you can spam. (and dwarves crusaders are even better) Later on you will have access to human town where you can recruit human evangelist who have range attack. All your heroes will level up to Lvl12 Next scenario Reskar will be back and you will be able to reassign skill points to him, Sundren and Nomlik.
Because Nomlik is fighting a Theocrat and a Dreadnought, spirit damage won't be really effective. I suggest the use of Physical damage-oriented troops against Voraditius, as he has a resistance bonus, Plague Doctor's Weaken may also help, even againts machines and dwarves. Beetles would be the best option, with their wall breaking and demolisher, goblin footpads also have the latter.

Good question Ralan, I did do one small playthrough of the first part of the planetfall campaign, however, I have not featured it since.
