I feel this is just one side of the issue. There are cases where the electric shock therapy and other medications given for patients suffering from mental illness went critically wrong and the patients are in a hopeless condition. There are mental asylums where intolerent nurses and health workers treat the patients like shit . That side of the story also need to be heard and communicated. Be it through movies art or anything. But I do agree to put a disclaimer or something when some sort of unscientific ideas like the ones in ancham pathira are portrayed on movies. But we can't say no to show such ideas in movies and art. Because it's fiction and fantasies of a writer or artist.

If film makers always showed the facts about mental disorders and their treatment, then it would be more like a documentary than a movie. And there is no audience for and money in documentaries. Exaggeration and thrills are the key words in movie making . Facts are "changeable" !
