    Great review. You sold me on that Cub. I've been waffling between a steering wheel and regular zero turn, especially with the slopes I have. I'm definitely going with the steering wheel.

    I bought a Z force S with the 60 in welded deck 4 years ago and I am very happy with it.

    Thanks for the comparison video, Nate. Last summer I purchased an EGO zero-turn w/42" deck. It is a bit of a learning curve to manage the batteries for the size of the yard I mow. Like you, I have some steep banks that I do not mow with this machine, it will not hold the bank. The banks present a water hazard and are around my pond. I don't think it would do the mower any good to end up in the pond 😬.
    Of my 16 acres, I mow about 2.5 acres. I have used a JD X534 all wheel steer for a number of years. I makes trimming around objects very easy. I'm having a hard time unlearning that method. With the zero-turn I have run over edging boards, plantings, gouged the fenders on overhanging wood and brick structures and so on.
    I now use the JD X534 to mow the bank around the pond.
    I'm impressed with how well the Cub clung to the bank in you demo. I wouldn't have expected that without seeing it.
    On a side note, of sorts, I see by the appearance of your machines, like me, you mow muddy grass. 🤣

      Haha yes. Cutting the grass is more on my schedule then the weather and this time of year especially it can be muddy. The trails are muddy too!

    I've used cub cadet for different yards and liked what I used.

    I bought a ZTS1 last April 2023. After two uses, it spent most of the cutting season in the shop waiting on a left Hydrostatic Transmission. Got it back late August. Fourth time using it this year and it wouldn’t turn. Back in the shop needing a new left Hydrostatic Transmission. Selling it as soon as I get it back.

    I have the Cub Cadet ZTS1, front wheel steering, 4 wheel steering, and it is a B E A S T on the hills. Most of my 3.6 acres is hills, really not much flat ground at all. Many of the hills are greater than 25 degrees according to my smartphone. The ZTS1 is a mountain goat.

    Hello ! I am from Belgium and I have a 2 hectare property to mow. some parts are of very good quality, others average, and some are poor: a few holes, ruts, etc. I have tried robot lawn mowers but I am not convinced. I have offers from Toro and Cub cadet. I don't have any trees to go around (except 2-3 very old, large oaks). so mowing can be quick because there are no obstacles. very few slopes and difficult angles. What would you recommend as a model? Big thanks

    This is a very informative video and it’s helped me make up my mind about buying me a ZTS1 Cub Cadet. Peace and blessings..” 🙌

    You sound like me here. I use my Bad Boy 60" as a brush hog sometimes. If it is 1 1/4" and smaller it stands to be chopped up by the Bad Boy.
    Have you ever tried a Bad Boy mower on your property? They are also a heavy duty mower.

      Yea I considered them, i've heard good things about them. The steered front axle is what sold me on the cub cadet.

    so which one is best performance wise between the Husky and the Cubby....which of those 2 would you keep if you could keep just 1?

      I tried to touch on the difference in the video and as intended I sold the Husq and Toro so I only have the Cub now.

      @NaterTater ahh ok thats the one I would have kept as I was watching it that's what I was thinking.

    I have had Cub steering wheel zero turns for 8 years now. I would not consider anything else.

    they still have the pro z line up for cub, they got rid of the z-force line for the new ultima line up of steering wheel zero turn

    • @NaterTater
      @NaterTater  ปีที่แล้ว

      My dealer and research only shows a new ultima series ztxs that replaces ones like this pro z 160s.

    • @M8NTIS
      @M8NTIS ปีที่แล้ว

      The Pro Z line still exists for 500/700 and 900 series, the 100 has ended for the ZTXS6

    • @jtraveny
      @jtraveny ปีที่แล้ว

      @@M8NTIS so im guessing the ztxs4 or 5 replaced the z-force models then?

    • @NaterTater
      @NaterTater  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      How so? Like where is the concern? Belt to belt, pulley, deck, frame? I havent noticed but I can take a look if there is something specific.
