Anyone a fan of the movie short circuit? Ryan Howard certainly is, so much so that he built his very own full sized working replica of the movies Main Character Johnny 5. I was lucky enough to meet Ryan at our recent Popcorn Comic Con event at Magna in Sheffield and couldn’t wait to ask him a bunch of questions about his magnificent creation. Enjoy!

the prop is absolutly awesome, I can't even imagine trying to built something like it, also it is really surprising that even to this day there isn't any toys of the movie, specially when big part of the plot of the second movie was about making toys of Jonny 5
I think Johnny 5 should have his own TV comedy Series or a brand new version of Short Circuit movie since the he's very population from 1986.

Sad there not doing a part 3 they truly feel like it wouldn't do good at the box office now a days, specially when it was rough for them back then at the box office for part 2 when they made the second movie. But They truly did love making the film with the time they were in. I love short circuit movies! Glad you guys brought Johnny back and kept Johnny 5 legacy alive! Glad this movie isn't forgotten!

This is so great. Short Circuit has always been a personal favorite, but I have a more particular love for Short Circuit 2. I've always wanted a smaller scale version like the "toys" in Short Circuit 2. I've had my eye on all the open source 3D files for several years, but would never have the time, space, tools or patience to put this kind of thing together. Definitely is a shame that nobody has produced an officially liscensed Johnny 5 toy.
I really hope that LEGO will collaborate with the crew of Short Circuit, as well as Columbia Pictures and Tri-Star pictures to make an officially licensed Johnny 5! Maybe even make it a special Mindstorms robot kit, with custom software and apps to use for programming J5, as well as giving him two build options: first movie with Laser, and second movie with his toolbox! I mean, I would love to have an official J5 LEGO set at all. Giving it radio controls would be perfect! Giving it RC AND MAKING IT A MINDSTORMS ROBOTICS SET… LEGO, TRI-STAR, GET ON THIS!!!!
