Japanese flush trim saws are made to cut when pulling. They work very good for cutting the 45’s on your edging.

Not with the polyurethane rubber edge molds. Those cut much easier/nicer with a sharp straight edge. You're better off using a sharp kitchen knife than a saw.

To adhere your two pieces of foam together, use double-sided tape. You're going to plaster it next so strength is no problem.
