    In the latest version they have added a third jet in the centre.
    Very well made and engineered.
    Used it to soft wash a long roof from the ground.
    Makes it effortless.
    Used with Xline soft wash trolley and pole and Algoclear.

    • @aemackintosh

      james spratt The flat blade I’ve used quite a bit. Worn it out actually. The other shaped blades you use will just depend on the shape of tiles in your area, and what jobs you pick up I suppose.😃👍🏼

    I have been thinking about getting into roof cleaning and treating, does the biocide change the colour of the roof at all? Or any changes the customer can see at all?
    Cheers

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      chris bain It depends on the original colour of the tiles really. You should notice any remaining moss die off in the first couple of days, then if they are light coloured tiles, you should notice a continual improvement over the next few months. Check out my roof cleaning playlist.😃👍🏼

    Is it just the biocide you use or do you use sodium hypochlorite too? I've had loads of customers wanting me to do this for them but put it off, in the new year I'm starting to do them. Thanks in advance,
    Ashley.

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ashley John I use a biocide after scraping because it also prevents the growth coming back so quickly afterwards.😃👍🏼

  • @antandbecksc
    @antandbecksc 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hi Ashley, does spraying biocide to roof give similar results as brushing it in to roof.

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah. The objective really is to saturate the surface with the chemical. There are a number of ways of going about that, but I mostly prefer to use a brush with fan jets these days.😃👍🏼

  • @fensterputzernuernbergerlangen
    @fensterputzernuernbergerlangen 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    The idea is good. but its obvious here that the ether the sprayer nozzle angle of degree needs to be wider with a tad more prerssure / or the chariot needs to be narrower / or there needs to be more flow and more pressure and 3 nozzles plus the wheels need to be bigger maybe pneumatic, but you hit the nail on the head its easier than using a pole at that angle ... Thinking smart is what its all about .

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Exactly right. I should be using a pump with a higher flow rate with this sprayer.😃👍🏼

    So A, would you say this is most efficient delivery method you've trialed so far?
    Is it fed via your van based pump drawing water/algo inline?

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Antony D I pre mix the Algo Clear in a barrel and use my old wfp window cleaning pump setup. It doesn’t really deliver enough solution per minute to feed two jets effectively. So, spraying using multiple jets is quicker, but you need a pump that has a higher litres per minute rating.😃👍🏼

      @@aemackintosh Sorry I meant he marshall rolling sprayer - I think they do a 4-5 nozzle version aswell so would need a good lpm pump?

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. My pump is only 5litres per minute, so the more jets you want to spray with, the higher litres per minute capacity you will need from your pump.😃👍🏼

  • @2001pioneer

    Hi, why does a rood need this treatment? My parents roof is fairly mossy and I'm helping fix up their house and garden. Have just used MMC PRO with sprayer for outside garden walls. But I dont know how to assess how important moss cleaning and or biocide treatment is for roof maintenance. Thanks for any tips!

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The build up of moss can easily end up in the gutters causing blockages. The moss causes damage to the tiles and can crack tiles, especially in winter during freezing conditions. Using a product like MMC PRO helps to eradicate and prevent organic growth from occurring. It would be good to have the moss removed and then a treatment of the product every 3/4 years will be an excellent way to maintain the roof.👍🏼

    I know this is an old vid but..
    Rather than brushing it in with a wfp, or spraying like this - I just blast it in with a hosepipe, purposefully under the tiles to ensure every bit gets saturated.
    It takes minutes from the top of my ladder 🤷
    Think I've got a vid of me doing it so if anyone's interested let me know 👌

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I prefer to use a brush these days because it’s an enclosed spray system and chemical drift is prevented, so you don’t have chemicals blowing around and going to places that you don’t want it to.

    • @rattlin9194
      @rattlin9194 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@aemackintosh ah yeah I get that, I'm just seeing that many vids these days with guys blasting hypo all over driveways etc that aerial dispersal of biocide feels quite tame. I tend to start at the edges and spray towards the centre. I usually spend about £60/house on biocide which may be way over the norm/wasteful but it completely saturates every part of the tile really quick.
      Anyway here's to another great year cleaning for you guys 🍻🥳, looking forwards to the 2024 footage 👌
