I was so glad he recognized it as a panic attack. I've seen only a few reactors get it automatically before Michonne places his hand over her heart and without commenters telling them.
The male reactors automatically assumed that Rick came to quick 🤦🏾♀️🙄
If there were actually paying attention you can tell that he was having PTSD or a panic attack!!
He hasn't seen Michonne or been with her intimately in 8 years🤦🏾♀️
In the first episode you seen that Rick was dreaming of her in three different scenarios of meeting each other 🤦🏾♀️🙄
"The only time I feel safe is when I'm with you" That broke me because when she needed him the most, he wasn't there. Having to lead their people, raising their toddler, still mourning Carl, pregnant and probably thinking the last child she carried died when he was the age Judith was at that time, tortured when their daughter was stolen by someone she trusted and Michonne was all alone. But she perseveres for their kids and finally, she finds out he's alive and finds him! ...only for him to want to send her away? only for him to fight her at every step even after learning about their son? does he not love her anymore? is she the only one who feels at home in his arms?
like Danai put us (and Rick) into Michonne's mindset with just one sentence, I need her (and Andy) Emmy now!

I cried watching this AGAIN!!! Their love making scene was when she realized that the trauma he went through could not be brought out by coming at him - he could not verbalize his pain. Neither of them are big on words, so this was fantastic to see them TALKING with one another.
This episode was emotionally EPIC!! It gave me so many feels. If Andy and Dania don't win an Emmy for this episode... we riot!!!!

I love how danai expressed how much us fans all wanted with the angst and getting to the problem within Rick. I’m also so happy we got Carl references because that was her best friend and he was what made Rick and michonne Richonne! Danai is such a great writer ❤ and Andy’s and her acting was phenomenal
She killed it with this episode. I felt every emotion possible. Mad, frustrated, annoyed, heartbroken…..all of em. Easily one of the best written episodes in the entire franchise, hands down.
You never paid attention to the climate of the room, which was actually the (climate) of the relationship😅

Man I cried like a baby during the Carl scene. I’m not even afraid to admit it. Such killer writing and acting from both of them. Also Rick won’t be able to drive a stick shift with only one hand lol. 😂

I cry every time I watch it. I love how they brought it back to Carl, and how important he is not only to Rick but to Michonne and their family.
Please just give Danai and Andrew ALL the awards. This episode was PHENOMENAL. One of the best in the entire walking dead franchise. It was heartbreakingly beautiful ❤ The script. The acting. The cinematography. The edit. Perfection

I want to watch this episode over and over and over. I love the intensity. I think Rick and Michonne have had good communication skills overall (compared to Rick and Lori) but it's good to see that when there's a wrinkle in their relationship they are working it out and they still care for each other despite. A little (well a lot) of the angst is something I didn't know I needed. But it was a beautiful episode in and out!

I'm so with you on this episode. Loved the reaction. The episode was real and raw. The time out was needed for Rick and Michonne to get to the bottom of the issue. It's what I would have liked when Morgan spewed his "all life is precious " crap. That philosophy needed to be interrogated fully, especially since they introduced it. I'm so glad Danai showed such depth in writing this episode.
Morgan's situation was totally different. His inability to put his wife down cost him his son. That 'broke' him because of the _guilt._ He was killing everything in sight, that is why we had the _CLEAR_ episode because he failed to CLEAR the danger to his son. After that him finding Eastman and going into his _All Life is Precious_ phase brought him back from the brink... temporarily. Notice he went back to that 'killing' mode when Ben died but seeing Henry turn into a 'Killer' brought him out of it, I believe, permanently. The only thing he had to do was to finally put his wife down & let the guilt go, which he did. Morgan needed another kid to keep safe while Rick really needed 'Carl', with that phone Michonne gave Carl back to him.

Yeah this might be the best episode out of this season. Michonne written this episode IRL and it makes this even better. I like it how she immediately goes into *Black-Wife Mode* the moment she tries other ways of convincing him to come back home. I'm guessing the finale is gonna top it all off after this episode. Also i don't think they are out of the woods yet. Next episode is the second to the last one. The stakes are gonna get high than never before. Jadis got to show up on the next episode and she needs to die, right here and right now.
But man the scene when Rick is telling and reminding of his dreams is powerful enough to make all of us cry.
This is so real and deep of a show and standout episode. Writing, acting, directing excellence. 👏🏽

This episode so parallels man relationship dynamics in so many ways.
Super Heroes are real people with trauma and emotions mostly glossed over because they are forced to continue due to circumstances their badassary! That is Rick and Michonne!
Michonne’s frustration is justified and makes complete sense. But Rick’s perspective does make a lot of sense as well. He knows more than she does and he’s trying to protect everyone he pieces from the threat, especially Michonne. You can’t forget where he’s come from.
I remember, but I am not for giving up just because the going gets tough. We gotta fight!

I felt everything you said in this reaction. I've watched this episode at least 4 times and have watched countless reactions. This is the most poignant and deep an episode of TWD has ever been. Both performances were Emmy-worthy. The fact Andy hasn't already received one for Rick is insane, but if this bottle episode doesn't do it, I do not know what will.

Ya know, Danai was supposed to showrun a tv show that was canceled bc of covid basically and this shows exactly why. This was awesome. The dialog here felt so like real compared to the Gimple style we are used to. We needed a lot of emotional resolution here and we got it without delay. Great episode and great reaction as always, esp after a long day.

This was a great episode Tomaj and your reaction was on point. I was mad at Rick too but after they both calm down and talk my mad went away. I see some folks talking about this episode was slow and filler and the story didn’t progress 😑 and I’m like are you people stupid this episode was needed so much for all of us. Rick and Michonne TALKED. He shed that crm crap and came out on the other side reborn. And yes the story progress bcuz we got Rick back in the end. The love making was beautiful Rick had a panic attack and Michonne once again was there to guide him through ❤ it. I hope that when they get back o Alexandria Michonne writes Nat’s name on the wall as even though he never lived in Alexandria he did help her get Rick back also neither Rick or Michonne know about Judith being shot

She does not watch The Walking Dead. When she was younger she used to watch with me and my mom. She used to be terrified of the Walkers 😆. She just hasn’t watched since!
