Rick explained that he has been the Walking Dead for 8 years. The only other time Rick was broken and scared before was after Negan killed Glenn and Abraham. Rick was too scared to fight back and was trying to keep the rest of the group safe, until Michonne and Carl convinced him to fight back.
@@alextheg95 yeah but he hasn't called one a walker yet naturally. Him saying not to say it to Michonne doesn't count. You know what I mean. He called them dead mass this episode. I garrentee were getting a classic Rick line calling them walkers.
About it getting light fast, the thick storm cloud cover hid the dawn and we saw the clouds clearing when they spotted the crashed Choppa. Granted was very dark, but I've seen some thunderstorms with clouds that are pitch black in the past. 💖
Hi, 1st time viewer. Great input. One thing no reviewer has picked up on is the song playing at the beginning is "Tie a Yellow Ribbon" by Tony Orlando and Dawn. This was huge in the 60s and families actually did tie a yellow ribbon on their trees for their family member in Vietnam. It's an excellent song choice because Rick's been gone too and he suffers from PTSD.
Awesome episode! I am just so scared now because of the ending how easily they just drove off! Gimble made a comment about the ending that has me very uneasy! He said It is the Walking Dead Universe after all!! 😮
They focused on the knife that Michonne dropped by the front doors. I assumed Jadis would find that and know they were alive but then the whole building fell so idk how she would find that now..
Just gonna join the masses and let you know that the CRM calls walkers "delts", not "doubts". Guessing it's a play on the military alphabet (it is the CRM, after all): A = Alphas (the leaders) B = Betas (the non-leader survivor) D = Delts, or Deltas (the dead) As far as the sudden sunrise, it could be that they were flying back closer to dawn (early early morning, and it looked darker as well because of the rainstorm) when they jumped out of the helicopter. Plus, the time it probably took them to get to shore and in the building. So I could see them talking and it finally becoming daylight in the middle of the conversation - although I will admit it got pretty bright and clear fairly quickly, haha!
The cast should have helped write more of the TWD OG series as it went a bit flat in some seasons late on, but this one is awesome and as a viewer of all the universe tv content this is a fitting finale to the show with Rick and Michonne.
Danai having the opportunity to write this show was absolutely flawless in every giving way. We never had so many dialogs between both characters b4, very well done presentation. And also I gotta add this too, what background music did you guys used in your review/discussion?
The fact that Rick has been with the CRM for close to a decade is nuts. I don’t think people understand or even know that he was only with the original group (from the pilot until the bridge) for 4-5 years. He’s known the CRM way of life for longer than the one he had with Michonne and his own daughter!! He’s been brainwashed into this way of living.
In the NATO phonetic alphabet used by the military, “d” is delta. D is for dead. CRM calls the dead, “delts” as in delta. There are likely other meanings behind it too, but this is a straightforward military reason.
This Danai and Andrew are absolutely perfect for these roles. I dare you to come up with anyone in Hollywood or the UK who could have done these performances better.
Kinda agree - but if this was 15 years earlier Gary Oldman and Sigourney Weaver (wrong race I know, but just in terms of acting skills) woulda done it just as good - that said they are my favourite all time actor and actress so I might be biased... :-P
@@stevencrisp753I don't think they would have the passion for each other though. They're great! But I'm not sure if they would be able to pull this off in this particular couple.
@@discoveringhealthandfinanc8328 I'm not aware they have ever worked together on a film, let alone as a couple, so we don't know what the chemistry may have been like. Could have flopped for sure, but could have been electric. We'll never know :)
Okay SUPER hot take here, but if anyone watched Lost back in the day (Ironic, because Beale is played by Jonh Locke!) This reminded me of the famous "We have to go back!" scene.. But even more powerful! Amazing episode, kinda shocked theres only 2 episodes left I have no idea how they're gonna wrap this up but.. Here's hoping we get a season 2 or more!
I think what really needs to be understood is the power of CRM. They were able to change and scare even someone like Rick this much. CRM is not a community to be taken lightly and that is the message they want to give.
I'm pretty sure it being daylight meant that we were supposed to know that they were talking all night in that standoff as well as us not knowing how many hours passed of them flying up until the storm and how long it took them to swim to land in the dark and find that building. So it being dawn again makes since to me.
This episode was incredible, this show is amazing! I can't wait to see how the next 2 episodes go, I'm not ready for it to be over so soon! It's been amazing to see Rick Grimes again, I've really been enjoying Michonne in TOWL as well, especially in this episode she was incredible.
I think one thing you may have missed is it was storming hard. When it got bright the storm was over. May have been a little more daylight behind the storm than what it looked like. How i thought of it anyway.
I don't know about traces, but they did pause on the knife that Michonne dropped and also the destroyed walkie they left behind. So, I'm guessing if Jadis comes snooping around, she would know. It would be a stretch considering the building fell down, but then that's TWD. LOL
To comment about the sunlight, they probably left early morning, which would have still been dark, combined with the rainstorm, it would be very dark. The moment they discovered the helicopter, it could have been sunrise coupled with the fact that the clouds were clearing up at that exact moment, but then because overcast again. Since there was a focus on the weather, it seems like it was intentional, and metaphorical for progress of their conversation
Personally, I think as soon as Michonne pulled them out of the helicopter, the pilot would have radioed it in just like Rick immediately called in the attack that killed Okafor as they were going down, which would explain why Jadis goes after them.
Or it was night when they fell from the plane it must of taken them a min to swim from the middle of the lake in the middle a storm. In that time the helicopter probably crashed circling the area for them.they get out of the water into the building that's a few hours work then they chat until sun rise
Don't know if you're able to mention this in the next video (would be awesome cause you guys rule!) but if you go back to the one flashbacks Michonne had about her son, friend and boyfriend, I think in season 3 or 4, this looks like the same house that she was in back then. Window looks familiar as does the dining room table.
I always thought they were saying "delts" i asumed it was just derived from Delta which would have been what military referred to the dead as. Dead》Delta》 Delts

Rick explained that he has been the Walking Dead for 8 years. The only other time Rick was broken and scared before was after Negan killed Glenn and Abraham. Rick was too scared to fight back and was trying to keep the rest of the group safe, until Michonne and Carl convinced him to fight back.
At least Rick is back. The real Rick. Michonne found him.
And when is Rick going to say it??
"Walkers"
He said it already though 😂 he calls them walkers when they both go back to crm after the heli crash. "Don't call them walkers, I call them that"
@@alextheg95 yeah but he hasn't called one a walker yet naturally. Him saying not to say it to Michonne doesn't count. You know what I mean. He called them dead mass this episode. I garrentee were getting a classic Rick line calling them walkers.
Only Michonne could bring him back. She is the love of his life.
Oh okay I see what you mean, then!
He said it in this episode. When they were in bed, he called them walkers when they were talking about how thin the ones in the building looked
I think it was to show she was unarmed.
They absolutely SMASHED it! Fantastic
Just gonna join the masses and let you know that the CRM calls walkers "delts", not "doubts". Guessing it's a play on the military alphabet (it is the CRM, after all):
A = Alphas (the leaders)
B = Betas (the non-leader survivor)
D = Delts, or Deltas (the dead)
As far as the sudden sunrise, it could be that they were flying back closer to dawn (early early morning, and it looked darker as well because of the rainstorm) when they jumped out of the helicopter. Plus, the time it probably took them to get to shore and in the building. So I could see them talking and it finally becoming daylight in the middle of the conversation - although I will admit it got pretty bright and clear fairly quickly, haha!
This episode was almost all dialogue and was still soooo intense!! That Carl scene got me😢!!
So good, great episode, great react video, that line at the end from Jarrel lol "I'm waiting for a variant sprinting behind them" 😂😂😂
I like the part where she showed the phone picture of Carl Michonne had the same gut that drew her and Judith
The only thing missing was very little mention of Judith, she is amazing, literally half Rick half Michonne! Looking forward to the family reunion!
They actually call them “delts” not “doubts”
Right! 🤦♂️
What does "delts" stand for?? Does Anybody know....
@@dianaglendmyer2837delta means change
This is the first time Rick made me wanna slap him 😂 but then he made me cry. Too many emotions in that episode. These 2 are amazing actors ✨✨✨
The cast should have helped write more of the TWD OG series as it went a bit flat in some seasons late on, but this one is awesome and as a viewer of all the universe tv content this is a fitting finale to the show with Rick and Michonne.
Oh yehhh, one of the best walking dead eps ever
I cried on and off this whole episode 😭😭 such a beautiful episode!!!
Danai having the opportunity to write this show was absolutely flawless in every giving way. We never had so many dialogs between both characters b4, very well done presentation. And also I gotta add this too, what background music did you guys used in your review/discussion?
Man this episode was so fuckin good! Lol calling them "doubts" would be hilarious but it is indeed d e l t s
Most parents who have lost children learn to live while they are really dead.
The Carl stuff BROKE ME guys 😩
Danai did her thing writing this one. This episode had me in my emotions.
Rick was giving her the O-Face. 🤣
It's not the CRM he is afraid of...it is losing Michonne again.
I swear I come back periodically to watch just for a good laugh y'all reaction gets me everytime 😂😂😂💀💀💀
"I wish I could see a variant just sprinting at them" that was too funny hahaha
They call the dead delts not doubts
great video guys, always love watching your reactions, you both connect so well,
I think one thing you may have missed is it was storming hard.
LOL
Best acting on TV.
9:14 Questioning how did it become daylight instantly makes you lose focus on a crashed helicopter😂
“DELTS”! 😂 not doubts
Personally, I think as soon as Michonne pulled them out of the helicopter, the pilot would have radioed it in just like Rick immediately called in the attack that killed Okafor as they were going down, which would explain why Jadis goes after them.
Maybe it was light outside after that heavy rain storm. 😊
Or it was night when they fell from the plane it must of taken them a min to swim from the middle of the lake in the middle a storm. In that time the helicopter probably crashed circling the area for them.they get out of the water into the building that's a few hours work then they chat until sun rise
Come on Morgan and Mo,they said they're going to go find Rick so let's GO 💪🏻💪🏿💪🏻💪🏿😜🔥🔥🔥🔥 CAN'T WAIT FOR EPISODE 5 JUST EPIC EPISODES 🥰
Hahaha I love when Rick says Cooraaal hahaha
Don't know if you're able to mention this in the next video (would be awesome cause you guys rule!) but if you go back to the one flashbacks Michonne had about her son, friend and boyfriend, I think in season 3 or 4, this looks like the same house that she was in back then. Window looks familiar as does the dining room table.
Something has to burn 🔥 to bring it back. There is something to that statement
"delts" not doubts LOL @12:22
It's delts not doubts fellas 😂😂😂
Love the content. But 12:20 they refer to them as "Delts" not "doubts" lmfao. 😂
I always thought they were saying "delts" i asumed it was just derived from Delta which would have been what military referred to the dead as. Dead》Delta》 Delts
